tv   Tucker Carlson Tonight  FOX News  May 8, 2019 9:00pm-10:00pm PDT

9:00 pm
another officer sprang into action, the car was washed away in the minute of the rescue. if most-watched, most trusted, most grateful you spent the evening with us. good night, i'm shannon bream. ♪ >> tucker: good evening, and welcome to "tucker carlson tonight" for the president holding a rally in panama city, florida. we'll go to it live when he begins speaking. one thing we are going to be watching for is whether the president responds to the seismic story that broke last night on cable news. here's how they summarized it. >> with cnn tonight, i'm don lemon. are you listening? the president of the united states is a fraud and a con man. >> tucker: holy smokes! this sound like a big development. what happened? did the president get caught running a nigerian phone scam? did he sell bed calling? did he spend two full years of
9:01 pm
the russian inclusion hoax was real? no, nothing that sleazy. "the new york times" revealed that some of trump's business is lost quite a bill of money. because of that, he paid no federal income taxes for eight of the ten years from where they had data. unfortunately, this is a common way to account. some of the biggest companies in the world paid no federal income taxes were exactly the same that list would include amazon, delta airlines, chevron, general motors. cnn hasn't said a lot of that. they were too busy gloating over trump's taxes from the reagan administration. ladies and gentlemen, introducing mr. don lemon. >> you know what they say about casinoin gambling. the house always wins? [laughs] not always. not if it's a trump casino. who loses their money in a casino?
9:02 pm
"i'm good enough, smart enough, and dag gun, people love me." >> tucker: don lemon is easily amused. when the whole point of your network is to attack a single person? this is a major story. from his shadow we lay her head and high above the newsroom, cnn's secretive dwarf king slithered to the from across the cable empire, >> lost more than double the next biggest loser in this country. so he's literally the biggest loser.th his losses were more than double the next biggest loser in the country. can you explain why this is why he doesn't want anyone to have this information? that he's such a loser, he calls people losers, has such disdain. he was literally the biggest
9:03 pm
loser in the country. >> tucker: trump lost money! it's a good thing cnn is on that story, otherwise no one would have guessed that donald trump had financial problems in the early 1990s. except people who were alive then. or people who have internet access now. 30 years ago, trump's personal debt crisis was national news. inside his wallet, trump papers revealed huge debt, read the tabloids. trump in a slump. even david letterman mocked a trump with a top ten list, top ten signs that donald trump is in trouble. in the end, donald trump recovered be he maded the disaster part of his brand, he made a book about it called "art of the comeback." when he launched his reality show "the apprentice," he bragged about all of this. >> 16 years ago, i was billions of dollars in debt. but i fought back and i won. bigly. >> tucker: what we learned
9:04 pm
last night wasn't really news but what's news is you can steal some of the private tax information, put it on television, and nobody even pauses or asks whether that's a good idea, much less an invasion of privacy. are those the rules now? according to democrats, those are the rules now. lawmakers are forcing the release of trump's tax returns. how about his medical records? how about his internet search history? how about his transcripts of his phone calls? why not? and if people who don't like donald trump can get that information about him, what about those of us who do not like cnn. can we get don lemon's tax returns? what about jeff zucker's internet search history for that would be compelling for it why not? what's the limit? is there a limit? president trump is on stage right now and about to speak. before he takes the mic, we are going to check in with victor davis hanson who sitting on set.
9:05 pm
so you saw the story, news really to no one, but it sets a precedent that i think is interesting, is it within bounds to reveal people's tax returns? >> it isn't, but "the new york times" thinks it's checked in on and a higher good, -- i do not understand the narrative. basically saying that 35 years ago donald trump was in his early 40s, he did 1 of 2 things. the guy who now gave us a 3% gdp plus and record economy that we haven't seen in 40 g years is financially incompetent. he didn't pay taxes on money he never made or money he lost, so it doesn't make any sense. so i guess people into the idea that the manhattan real estate market is not the nicest place. and people who participate in the take ups and downs. it isn't a story but it's a story in this case, the logan
9:06 pm
act, emoluments clause, the 25th amendment, mueller, it's one more that rather than here is trump's record, so the people who can adjudicate, that cannot happen because they do not want that question to be asked. finally,ha there is a record of precedent. remember, there was a reagan ranch, every president has a life outside of politics but when they are in politics, they always say some cronies lost or made money, but people usually do not care for that usually baked into the equation by the time he's president and that's the record. that cnn clip is saying you cannot have this guy, incompetent 35 years ago and he is the best economy in the worl right now and everybody is envious of him. if you do not believe that, we'll try this.of he didn't pay taxes on money he never had.
9:07 pm
i don't understand it. >> tucker: you are not allowed to have this president for that's the message they are sending to thank you. we are going to dip back into the president. just thinking people innk the crowd. see if he makes news in this rally in the florida panhandle. [crowd chanting] >> well, i just want to say, hello panama city beach. it's a nice place. we had some great times, do you remember? before that great election, that great election, 16. ed now we have 20 coming up, november 3rd -- not november 8th, it's november 3rd and it's going to be just as special.
9:08 pm
going to be just as special. in certain ways i can't say it's more important but it's equally as important because we have made strides like no country has made strides, what's happened to our country. we had a great time and we have had incredible rallies right here and we are working really hard for you when we are going to talk about that in a little while. things are going well. you got hit with a little hurricane called michael, that was not a nice hurricane, i can tell c you that but it's going well. i'm thrilled to be here with truly incredible men and women of the florida panhandle. my friends, your strength and devotion and values are what truly make america great and what make america run, you know that. you love our country, you are proud of our history, and you always respect our great american flag, right?
9:09 pm
[cheers and applause] i was last year in the immediate aftermath of hurricane michael, we came, that was bad stuff. i pledged to you unwavering support and the support of our nation until you have fully recovered and rebuilt and we will never, ever leave your side. we've already given you billions of dollars and there's a lot more coming as you do it. [cheers and applause] and to support your recovery from hurricanes michael and irma, the federal government has committed more than $10 billion to the state of florida, it's all b committed. and rick scott and your new governor, a great governor, rick was great, ron desantis is great. gone on to the
9:10 pm
senate along with marco rubio and they are working together. things are going good for you and for our country, thank you, i love you too, thank you. that's a guy but i love him. whoever the hill you are, i love you. tonight i'm pleased to announce my administration will be allocating $448 million in hud disaster recovery funds for the great people of florida. these dollars will help communities get back on their feet come we've already given you many millions of dollars but these are monies that are coming in to help the families put their lives together, some families are still working very hard. it's been a tough one, more money is needed, i've just come from a stop at kendall air force base where i saw the devastating effects of that category five
9:11 pm
hurricane, category five. never heard about category fives before, it's big stuff. kendall was scheduled by theal military to close, you know that, right?t, you know that? i got a call from your great representatives and they said, they want to close kendall because it got beat up badly, it got beat. we have our best planes there, the f-22 -- it'se. incredible fighter jet, the most beautiful plane i think i've ever seen.e some of them were damaged but we lyst none, seven were very badly damaged, they lost none. the military had it scheduled to be closed and i heardse about i. i made a couple of calls. and i said in general, why are we doing that?
9:12 pm
those people are incredible. those people, they work, they are just outstanding. i said why are we doing it and they said -- so what are we going to do build a new one someplace else in a bad locatio location? we have thousands of people, we are going to end up having 8,000 people back there working, we arepl rebuilding their help ande are doing a job and we are actually moving in the f35 fighter jet which is the newest and the best in the world. and we've got a lot of them, we've got a lot of them. they are going to be moving again so we will have many more people working then you had the day before the hurricane. beur prepared. they are doing drawings and architecture of different areas, we are building, fixing some good ones, very badly hurt but
9:13 pm
structurally they are sound. when we are finished it's going to be something really special, one of the best anywhere in the country. you have something very special, i was with colonel laidlaw, you know him? good, he's a good man. he was telling me the reasons that he said we fly right over the ocean, we get up we fly right out over the ocean, when you do that, you can do a lot more than one you are flying over people's houses, we know that feeling too. it's great, it's going to be fantastic. in the wake of the terrible storm, this extraordinary community pulled together and showed the world your unbreakable spirit. i knew that long before the storms and you've also seen countless volunteers and visitors, faith groups, lending a hand like almost no place else
9:14 pm
you can imagine. people are still traveling from around the world to enjoy your some -- i have had to be one of them. and your pristine waters was exactly what you have because panama city beach is open for business as beautiful as ever. today i'm doing the most allowed by law to support the people of florida because of the severity of the storm, category five. we will have the federal government pay for 90% of the cost. 90%. and we can do that because of the incredible devastation and the size of that storm.ee now we need democrats in congress to work with us to pass unacceptable bill, we are
9:15 pm
getting close. it's pretty tough dealing, they don't want to build ado wall but we are building thehe wall. they don't want to do a lot of things. [crowd chanting "build the wall"] we are building a lot of things, we are doing a lot of things and that includes additional hurricane michael relief funding immediately, the money is coming immediately. no games, no gimmicks, no tdelays, we are just doing it. by the way, fema, my people at fema, they did a tremendous job here and elsewhere. they had this and texas and puerto rico, puerto rico got $91 billion and that i
9:16 pm
understand they don't like me, it's the most money we've ever given to anybody. we've never given 91 billion to a state, we gave to puerto rico $91 billion and i'll tell you, the services, you look at the marines, you look at the navy, the job they did there was really incredible. incredible. in fact, i brought a chart, would you like to see a chart? haphazardly, i just happen to have it with me. there is your chart, does everyone see that? so now, i didn't want to spend on a big board because that cost the government too much money, you can all see that.
9:17 pm
that's puerto rico and they don't like me. texas, florida, the biggest hurricanes we've ever seen. what the democrats want to do, they want to give more and more andd i say you know what, i have a great relationship with the people of puerto rico, it hasn't been fairai at the way they've treated all of us from the standpoint of their leaders because they complained, $91 billion, largest amount of money ever given to a state. you are getting your money one way or the other. i think the people of puerto rico are very grateful to mike donald trump for what we have done for them. that was a bad storm.
9:18 pm
with florida, you drive on. with puerto rico, it's a little tougher, it's called you get into a bump, you get to do something but they did a hell of a job, including bringing the hospital ship, i want to thank fema and the military for what they did there, and florida and texas, louisiana, south carolina, they got hit hard. north carolina got a piece of it, georgia, alabama, these are great places and they are all getting aid of the democrats are stop it but you're going to get it, don'to worry. and you've already gotten a lot of it. instead of wasting time, energy, taxpayer dollars on stunts and hoaxes and witch hunts,
9:19 pm
democrats should be focused on building up our country -- did you see what just happened? no collusion, no obstruction. no anything. two years on a witch hunt, i could've gotten anybody in this audience, i could've found something on you. two years, almost $40 million, 20 trump haters, democrats, i call them angry democrats. after two years, nothing. no collusion. and now the democrats, we have a great attorney general, and of nothe saying we want more. it was going to be like we want the mueller report, now they say "at the mueller report? we want to start all over again." we have to focus on infrastructure, we have to focus
9:20 pm
on lowering medical prices in medicine, always focus on the military and our vets which we have done and the democrats should be focused now on restoring and helping the emerald coast of florida because that's whatth it is. it's time to come together for the people of panama city, for the people of florida, for the people of our country. it's time to stop this nonsense. they think they're going to win. did you see the one man? he said it's the only way we are going to beat him in 2020, they have to do this. that's a compliment i guess buts think of what he said to. if it's the only way they're going to beat me and it's working the other way because now we o have our best poll numbers that we've ever had. it's crazy. we want to work with them into infrastructure, were going to get it done, nobody is going to do as much as all of us. i've done a good job as a
9:21 pm
messenger. i've done a good job, you came from all over. they didn't know you folks existed in many cases, the invisible people and you know what your are, you're the smartest and hardest working, you pay your taxes, you do all aof this stuff. great jobs, great talent, you're the best looking people, that's for sure. i joke about this but it's not joking. they call themselves the elite, you ever see the elite? this is the elite, they are not elite,te your elite. i always take heat, i say you have better houses -- so do y. you have better boats, better everything.
9:22 pm
you are smarter, i say we are the elite. let's let them be the elite but we are the super elite, it's not even a contest. i always laugh when i hear we are the elite and you see this guy and say he's not elite, not by book he's not. we are delighted to be joined tonight by many terrific florida republican leaders, they really have beenic fantastic. you got a little sample of it and you're getting a great sample of it because as your governor, ron desantis has been doing a fantastic job, where is ron? where is he? thank you. great job, great governor. along with ron, you know his first lady casey. and your first lady milani mela
9:23 pm
big fan of her. and the man working with me very hard and has become a good friend we had our squabbles, minor squabbles but we've come together, he's a terrific person actually, senator marco rubio. where is he. thank you, great job. good man. how are we doing in cuba? how are we doing in venezuela, step-by-step. step-by-step. what's happening in venezuela is disgraceful.l. people are dying, they have no food or water. >> tucker: will get back to him just a minute, we have in the studio congressman devin nunes the long member of the intel committee at the very center of a lot of stories atr this moment -- thanks for
9:24 pm
joining us. i want to ask you something specific not directly related to your work in the house and that is the news today that they senate committee has subpoenaed cto the president's son donald trump jr., the senate still in republican hands, that committee run by senator burr of north carolina, a republican. why are your colleagues in the senate pursuing a story that we now know wasn't a real? why is this continuing? >> i'm assuming because the senate's numbers are so tight and so close with republicans versus democrats and in the house its whoever has the gavel has all the power. in the senate they have to have some type of agreement. i'm assumingng they believe, if you can believe this they're going to take cohen's word and i think they want to bring trump jr. in from what i can tell to see if he will, if he's going to basically keep the same
9:25 pm
story or admit to whether or not he talks to his father about the trump tower meeting. what is frustrating about this is that meeting was fusion russians, before and after fusion gps was working for the clinton campaign, what's frustrating about both the mueller reportr and i'm not sure exactly what the democrats and dpublicans are going to do in the senate but nobody seems to be getting to the bottom of fusion gps's involvement in the trump tower meeting. as you know the republicans finished our investigation and said there was no collusion, now we don't control the gavels anymore. we are asking toor bring peoplen and asking for documents, we do what we can. it's quite frustrating. the bottom line to answer your question is this is something that the democratic senators wanted probably in order to close this senate report out.
9:26 pm
>> tucker: mitch mcconnell the head republican in the senate said yesterday case close, it's over, we're moving on, maybe now we should take a turn at running the country rather than obsessing over what we know is a hoax but thatth message didn't filter down. >> it didn't make any sense. >> tucker: since you're here i've got to ask you how long until we start seeing some of these key documents declassifie declassified? >> the president can do it any time that he wants. there are some folks who want to wait for the inspector general to finish his work. i'm not in that camp, the sooner we get these out to the better. as a matter of fact the requests are piling up. i sent another request on friday asking about the professor -- this is important because in what i call the mueller report -- the mueller dossier, he's the first person who talks about emails from russia that
9:27 pm
are going to compromise hillary clinton's campaign. you would think that mueller would tell us who he is but instead he's very tricky about how he describes him because we believe he's not some type of russian assets as the dossier makes him out to be, we believe he is in fact some type of western intelligence person. he was in malta which is a small country, small island, part of the european union -- he was in the foreign ministry there. he taught school in london and rome, he worked with our fbi and held conferences with the fbi. this is the kicker of all of it, this is going tos make people really laugh. at the time when we were starting our russia investigation in the early 2017, guess who was in the u.s.
9:28 pm
capital at the invitation of the state department? >> tucker: who? >> this russian assets. in the u.s. capital, 100 feet from -- >> tucker: we can't find -- let's head back to the president 20who's assessing the 2020 democratic field. >> you see the tariffs we are doing? they broke the deal. they broke the deal! they are flying in, the vice premier tomorrow, good man -- but they broke the deal. they can't do that so they will be paying, we don't make the deal. nothing wrong with taking in over $100 billion a year. we never did that before and we have that happening, a lot ofng good things happening with a lot of countries. we have a deal with mexico, how bad was nafta? all the empty buildings and empty plans, we have a great
9:29 pm
deal with mexico and canada, we have to get the democrats in the house to approve it and if theyo don't that will be okay too, were going to do something else that will be just as good that. t have alternatives. when they want to hold you for political reasons, you always have to have alternatives, a lot of good alternatives. sometimes better. our economy is now the hottest anywhere on earth and it's the envy of anywhere in the world. every time a foreign leader, a president, prime minister, a king, queen, dictator, we've got some of them too -- every time they come into the office they say congratulations on what you've done for this economy, it's the hottest on earth, it's incredible. every single time that's how they start off the conversation and youev know it because the people of florida are truly
9:30 pm
benefitinglo by what we have doe internationally and nationally. thank you. our policy can be summed up in three simple words, jobs, jobs, jobs. [cheers and applause] the united states economy created another 260,000 jobs last 2 month, way above what people thought. they were making predictions much lower, than the big one. they were thinking about 1%, 1.2%,.2 maybe 1.5 and our growth number came in for the first quarter which is almost always the lowest quarter of the year historically. 3.2%, crushing expectations. i wasn't surprised. since the election we created nearly 6 million new jobs including more than half a
9:31 pm
million manufacturing jobs and nearly 700,000 new construction jobs. numbers, if i would've said this duringd the campaign most people back there i call them the fakers, the fake news media -- the fakers would have said he exaggerates. they are a bunch of fakers, there's no question about it. you know in six years, they are all going to be out of business. they're all going to be out of business. if weno want to drive them craz, i'll say in ten years, they'll go crazy. see he is a despot, he is a desperate -- there will be headlines tomorrow, donald trump wants to break constitution. unemployment just reached the lowest rate in more than 50
9:32 pm
years. the women's unemployment rate is the lowest in more than 65 years and will soon be a record numbe number. remember the last election, he's going to do so bad with women, i did great with women! [cheers and applause] we did great with women, hispanic-american unemployment just hit another brand-new all-time historic low. african-american unemploymenttl recently achieved the lowest rate in the history of our country. likewise hispanic-american unemployment, lowest in the
9:33 pm
history ofpl t our country. i'm going to like that on the debate stage. lowest rates ever in history, the highest income ever in history for the different group groups. highest income, more people are working today in the united states than almost 160 million then have ever worked in the united states before. nearly 1 million more african-americans are employed today them when i took office, think of that. i guy just screamed out 14 more years, no. 14 more years, after many years of stagnation, wages are rising very fast. it hasn't happened in 20 years
9:34 pm
and they are rising fastest which makes me feel very good or blue-collar workers, fastest proportionately. driving our whole agenda is a jobs boom that is historic, it hasn't happened like this in many, many years if at all. certainly during recordkeeping, hasn't happened like this and it has a lot to do with the fact that we have cut more federal regulations and regulations than any president in the history of our country, so these great companies now can breathe and hire people. [cheers and applause]
9:35 pm
[cheers and applause] we just passed the largest package of tax cuts and reforms in american history, the larges largest. we got rid of the individual mandate of obamacare, would have repealed and replaced obamacare but one vote, didn't work out. after campaigning for mike eight years this particular person decided the last moment toso go no -- it's all right, we'll get it anyway. will end up getting better, doing better. sometimes things like that happen and you get angry and you get a little bit sad and then some of you weep, i don't weave but you don't wait too d much, i know too many of you, they didn't weep when they were babies. if you get a angry about it, it
9:36 pm
ends up being better than what you are trying to do in the first place, it happens. good one for those of you that love your children, 95%. keep your family farms and ranches and small businesses in the family, they don't talk about this. they eliminated the unfair estate tax or death tax. now if you love your child or you love your children, you havy a beautiful ranch, small business, in the old days about two years ago, had to go out and borrow money from a bank and onlose their business in many cases, now you don't have a tax. if you love them, good to. if you don't love them i would leave it to them and it's not going to matter. it won't help you much.
9:37 pm
if you love your family it's a great thing. in return we expect american companies to invest in america which is what we are demanding to raise wages in america which is happening and to hire american workers to do the job. that's what we are doing. [crowd chanting "usa"] as i stand here floating around on the piece of ice, this is great. i'm a little bit concerned about leaving the podium, you have no idea what i'm going through on this stage, this is the worst stage -- i've never seen -- stupid people did this one.
9:38 pm
more brilliant, they may be the enemy. t it was the enemies and they are brilliant but i want them out of here. we are reversing decades of calamitous trade policies that enrich wall street at the expense of main street, although everyone is doing well right now. s the companies are doing great, w when wall street does good that's a good thing for us. a lot of you havef 401(k)s, they doubled what you had a couple of years ago. i told the story -- it happens a lot. for some reason this big policeman, this big, strong guy comes to me i was in new york and he said my 401(k) -- that was a year01 ago. his 401(k) is up 47%. my wife used to think i was horrible at investing and now she thinks i'm the greatest investor in the world.
9:39 pm
now the numbers are much better. since then but that is the 401(k), everyone is through 4 te roof. we are going to make it better and stronger and taking a lot of money from a lot of these countries and other folks that have been ripping us off for a long time. we paid for the military, we are defending nations that are so rich. i said to him, you got to do me a favor, you've got to pay but no one has ever asked for money. i said no, you've got to pay, we lose billions and billions of dollars -- individual countries. it's one thing if we are helping people who are being horribly treated and they don't have money and their countries aren't rich, it's one thing. it's another thing if we are dealing with countries that are loaded with cash, who make a fortune that we are defending them for a tiny fraction of what it costs us.
9:40 pm
it's all changing. one country, i won't say the country, one country we spent a lot of money on defending, very dangerous territory. costs us $5 billion and i said to a general, do me a favor, tell me -- how much does it cost for us to defend this country which is very rich? i'll check, he comes in sir, it's $5 billion. i said that's okay, how much do they pay us? sir, they passed $500 million. i say we lose four and a half billion dollars to defend a country that is rich and probably doesn't like us too much. we have but defending it for manymu years. so i called the leader of the country he said it's not fair, we are spending all of this d money and we have our men and
9:41 pm
women best in the world and we are sending them over to your country, not fair, you got to pay, you got to pay. king, nobodythe has ever asked us that before. and i said that's because you had stupid people running. [cheers and applause] so they said -- thank you, i could give you a hundred stories like this. he said we can't do anything now because it passed our so-called parliament. i said when is the next year? two months. pay me something now, how much can you pay, we can't pay you more than $500 million, i've got this in one phone call. and i said make it 750. that's a long way short of four
9:42 pm
and a half billion that we are losing, we agree to a number around 500 million. it was one phone call that lasted for about 10 minutes and once they got over the shock, they have plenty of money. now that the two months is up and i told my people call them and ask for the rest of it. we have many countries like thi this. we have countries like. saudi arabia for a rich, nothing but cash. i think they can afford to pay us and they will. they are buying a tremendous amount of equipment, $450 billion they will be spending in our country, 450 billion. we have a lot of countries that we are rich and are defending.
9:43 pm
they almost are looking at me saying i should of thought, it's amazing nobody asked us. you feel it. a lot of countries we are defending, it's not fair what's happening, they are paying us a tiny fraction in some cases. we defend the erupt, it's not fair, they aren't paying what they should be paying. we'll work it out, you've got to pay their bills. in the end they didn't like us more, in the end, they are going to respect us. under a previous administration, the united states lost nearly a quarter of a million manufacturing jobs, you remember that. they let other countries raid our factories, steal our jobs and rob us blind, other than that, they were very nice. they allowed china to freely
9:44 pm
loot our economy, plunder our intellectual property and target our industries for destruction, that's what was happening. president xi is a great guy come a friend of mine but he's for to china. i'm for the usa. they come in tomorrow and whatever happens, don't worry about it, it will all work out. it always does. don't worry about it. there is no pressure because we are at the piggy that everyone wants to rob. we have the thing that everybody wants, we are now the biggest market in the world by far -- china was catching us. if another person happened to be in this position right now, there would be about ten people. i wish the cameras could spin around and show this massive field.
9:45 pm
they won't do it, they won't do it, they never do it, they don't like to show it and you know i actually tried to explain to the ones that are semifriendly, i said it's good for your production value to do that. your production values are much better, let them know what. [crowd chanting "usa"] look at this field, they never show it. they will show the people behind me, congratulations. they may have a lousy seat but they will be famous tomorrow. it is true, they never like to show the crowds. i went to texas and i made a speech and speed 19, he's fallen like a rock -- what the hell
9:46 pm
happened to beto? i went to el paso and made a speech and they had an arena that holds eight or 9,000 people, we have 35,000 people outside.as we had these massive movie screens outside so the people who couldn't get in outs could see, he had 502 people. the next day in the news, "the new york times" guy actually wrote a story that he thinks he had more people than me, and you believe this? it's so dishonest. most of them just said two massive crowds -- his crowd was not massive. he had like 502 people accordino to people that count crowds so we have a very bum press because that's okay because we are here and they are not, right? [cheers and applause] very dishonest people. maybe it wille. change. what's wrong with having a strong military? a good education, a strong economy come i don't get it.
9:47 pm
i don't get it, the hatred is incredible. let's keep it going because that's the way itp is. the great betrayal of the american middle class ended the day that i took the oath of t office because i'm with you. i'm with you. there are those that say even the fake news media, there are those that say it was the greatest day in the political history of this country, the greatest election. it continues, they keep trying to take it away -- that's not working too well, it's notoo working. think of this, hillary clinton is still going up -- i think they stole the election, no, she lost. the next time -- [crowd chanting "lock her up"]
9:48 pm
the next time she's got to go to wisconsin to campaign. it hadn't been lost in decades, the people are great in wisconsin, you have to go there and campaign. the people said you will be okay, the, the republicans haven't won the great state of wisconsine in decades -- you've got to go there, i went there a lot! her husband bill is a good politician, the didn't listen to him. he said you better go to wisconsin and y michigan, i'm seeing a lot of things out there, i'm seeing a lot of sign signs, trump-pence. he's doing a great job, i'm seeing a lot of trump-pence signs on the lawns, you better s go there, what does he know? he's a pro, he knows a lot
9:49 pm
better than their analysts, their analysts weren't so p goo. you have to go and you have to work and we are officially in a couple of weeks, we are starting. can you believe i got to the white house? two i do half years ago and the first night i stood on the area of the beautiful residence they call it, it's beautiful. and i said to melania, do you believe this? it's going to be so long. it seemed like four years would never happen and now we are a year and a half away, les. think of it, it's incredible. how time flies especially when despite the obstacles and artificial things they put in your path, especially when you love what you are doing and more importantly, i love the results of what is happening because you hear them. you hear them. i just announced we will increase tariffsil on china ande
9:50 pm
won't back down until china stops cheating our workers and stealing our jobs and that's going to happen. otherwise we don't have to do business with them, we can make the products right here if you have to. like we used to. the era of economic surrender is over, the last administration also signed a disastrous trade deal with south korea that cost our country nearly 100,000 jobs but it was really 250,000 jobs. if you remember, our secretary of state at that time and our president at the time said this will give 250,000 jobs and he and she were right, except it was for south korea, not for us. it's a loser and we totally renegotiated the korea trade deal to restore these jobs and rescue the american auto
9:51 pm
industry because that was going to be a tremendous help. that deal is done. south korea. right before i came into office, our nation was being signed up for a one sided single sellout like you've never seen of the american worker and i said it's not going to happen. the trans-pacific partnership was going to destroy our automobile industry like you've never seen before and our automobile industry is pouring back into our country. and today for the people of the great state of ohio, remember? you have to win the great state of ohio, we won it by like nine points. it's a great state. everyone is coming back in, toyota is coming back again, honda is coming back in, many car companies. general motors today just
9:52 pm
announced three big plans, 450 workers, 700 million. the big announcement is in lordstown, ohio, they are going to be selling that plan. they make electric trucks because the enemy with all of the companies pouring into michigan, all of the company sporting into florida, north carolina, south carolina, ohio, everywhere. with all of these companies they kept hitting me with lordstown. general motors closed, they did the right thing. they sold to a company that did a great job. that happened just a little while ago. it will be spending a lot of money on fixing it up. subject to the uaw, they have to make a deal, got to make a deal. that's a great thing because that's the only thing they can hit me with. they couldn't hit me with anything because we've been so good to. what about lordstown?
9:53 pm
i call up mary barrow, will you make a deal or open it please? i'm getting killed with that plant. today she called, they're going to be opening it's going to be a great company going there it's really wonderful. in another historic action we finalized an agreement to replace the horrible nafta trade deal with a brand-new usmca. it will mean countless more jobs for florida ranchers and growers in the manufacturer's but while we are unleashing an unprecedented wave of prosperity, thee democrats are already trying to return us to the failures of yesterday. they want to have things rejected because they are all waiting for 20, the more they can hurt us, i think they are making us look better. i really do.
9:54 pm
they wanted investigations instead of investments. they wanted to do what they're doing which looks so foolish and may be i've read it wrong. ii think it drives us right on o victory in 2020 because people get it. our country, the great usa is not being pushed around anymore. nothing is more dangerous than the democrats crazy immigration agenda. democrats believe that everyone in the world has the right to violate our borders, they want open borders, disrespect our laws, and come into our country and collect benefits courtesy of pae united states taxpayer, thank you very all right?
9:55 pm
>> crowd chanting]. >> build that wall, build that wall. >> despite the fact and you see the hell we are going through trying to get the wall. which by the way works. we want to give him drones and technology. without the wall nothing works, folks. we will have over 400 miles of wall built by the end of next year and conclude it thereafter. it will be sealed up. it will be easier. it's tough when you have the worst laws on immigration. catch and release. you catch somebody and then you have to release them. that's a wonderful plan. >> [booing]. >> chain migration you come in
9:56 pm
and you bring your whole family. the other is a visa lottery. who is coming to the united states? the countries put people in a basket. who is it? who is it? wow, that's beautiful. a stone cold killer. yeah. if the united states is accepting people under a lottery system compliments of chuck schumer, do you actually think that the country is giving us their finest? no. they are giving us their rough people. i won't say it. when i made the speech at the base of trump tower i talked about what is happening. i mentioned the word "rape." i was absolutely -- the fake news media went me. that speech is so mild compared to what is actually happening.
9:57 pm
you read it today and it's unbelievable. democrats say they care about the poor but their open border policy drive down wages, drain social services and hurt the poorest americans more than anybody else. and the crime that comes in is unbelievable. you don't read it. they don't want to talk about it. sanctuary cities a disaster. republicans believe that you the american citizen have the absolute right to have your laws and borders enforced and enforced strongly. it's your country. >> [cheers and applause]. >> we believe that the welfare program should be protected for truly needed americans and not for illegal aliens that come into our country illegally. we believe that our immigration system should put the jobs and safety of american families first. we want to help people.
9:58 pm
we want to be gracious. we need people, frankly. we have so many companies moving into our country. we are the hottest country. they have to come in through merit. merit! >> [applauding]. >> last month alone 100,000 illegal aliens were apprehended at our borders. they catch them and take their name. they have to bring them to a court. they take them into a court and then they have to release them because we have tens of thousands of people. we won a great course case last night. go back to mexico. >> [cheers and applause]. >> i told mexico very nicely, you can't let people walk 2000 miles up your country because if we do that we will close our border. if we have anymore we will close our border. i don't care, we will close our
9:59 pm
border. >> [cheers and applause]. >> so mexico is taking people back to honduras and guatemala and el salvador and other countries. for the first time, not big enough numbers, but they are getting bigger. we can't have this, folks. this is crazy what is happening. what we need more than anything else we need the loopholes closed by congress. it would take 15 minutes. everybody knows what they are. asylum! they walk in. they read a statement by a lawyer at the border who probably gets paid by somebody who is not exactly friendly. >> the hour is over. this stole be back tomorrow. sean hannity picks it up. see you tomorrow. >> please help me. there are tattoos all over his
10:00 pm
face. he comes in, and he talks about his country. but then they have a picture of him five days sooner walking up, flying the national flag of their country. >> sean: my opening monologue coming up in just a minute. but first, we go back to the president. he is in panama city beach at a rally in florida. stay with us. >> change that flag. we love our country. we are afraid of it for purposes of getting into the united states, we are afraid of our country. we can't let this happen. the democrats, we need the votes. we need the votes. otherwise you are going to have to vote them out of office by congress, senate, going to have to vote them out of office. come november, next november, november 3rd next year. you're going to have to vote them out of office because otherwise you can't make a chase. we need the votes.
