this morning. that is the first question. will this rain in healthcare costs? >> i tell you what it will do. it will give information to a consumer that will drive down costs. in a free market system the consumer needs the information and today's healthcare system the way it operates, it is very opaque. consumers see copayments but they don't see the true costs of what they are consuming. given that information they drive the markets down. heather: we do know the cost on average of what americans spend on drugs. estimated cost of $1208 spent by americans every year. what else would need to happen in terms of who else is involved in pricing these drugs? >> a lot of hands in the proverbial cookie jar delivering healthcare in today's system and

a lot of stakeholders with that. with the federal government does not need to get in the business of healthcare, playing the referee more appropriately and the trump administration is on the right track by infusing transparency, i will restate what i said a moment ago. in a free market system the consumer needs information and they will drive down the cost and what the trump administration is doing is what they should do. don't regulate the market from the perspective of how it operates in getting into the business. give the consumer the information. heather: the consumer has the information but will there be more opportunity for competition among these drug companies so the consumer can choose? >> if we drive down the markets, more competition can come into the marketplace. just like every aspect of our

this marks definitely a provocation from north korea, some speculating this is in the aftermath of the hanoi summit where rashida tlaib is not able to bring the deliverable he hoped his people which was sanctions relief, others point to the fact that this may be a regular part of north korea's exercise or show of military strength to threaten the world but in particular south korea and the us. i think it is interesting that north korea is continuing its provocation in spite of the fact the us suspended its preparedness efforts are joint military exercises with south korea which is a mistake by the trump administration because it makes the us was prepared in the event of a crisis on the korean peninsula. >> we now have word of the us seizing a north korean ship with coal which happened in

april 2018. why are we just hearing about that now in the midst of this? >> the us is recognizing some of these tests may be a warning shot from north korea and once you emphasize something the trump administration said from the beginning that maximum pressure is a top priority for the administration, it is time to make that policy truly maximum. we. short of sanctioning chinese banks who we know are responsible for laundering money to the north korean regime. it is time for the trump administration to call north korea's bluff and amp up the pressure. >> i want to ask about that in terms of a message to other countries who are not following along with these sanctions, china being one of them but also russia because we know the complaint that runs alongside this chip that we took says there were multiple shipments delivered from north korea to

china as well as one instance where they make a stop at a russian port as well, this on the heels of the meeting between kim jong un and vladimir putin. >> china and russia have historically been better than sanctions in north korea and as he referenced we saw kim jong un and vladimir putin meeting a few weeks ago. we saw the meeting with xi jinping multiple times and we saw this willingness to let korea off the hook from sanctions after the singapore summit. this should be a cautionary note to the trump administration, maybe we are headed toward a third summit that is not the right time for diplomacy with north korea. heather: thank you for your insight. appreciate it. some other headlines, former cia operative running for congress
