elected officials that care more about illegal aliens, that care more about the people that are breaking the nation's laws than american citizens themselves. jillian: we mentioned the 504,000 number. let's take a look at the numbers , the border apprehensions have not hit 500,000, so the question is as we are approaching that number, are we potentially approaching an area that we haven't yet been? >> i think we are at an area because the amount of illegals that are entering the united states, one thing that people need to realize is, these people are getting released within the united states and a lot of them are not showing up to court dates and i think that's one thing that people need to be concentrating on. there's been a crisis for quite some time, there's individuals who have been pointing it out

and like i said, i'm in shock that we still have politicians in this country that refuse to admit it, they refuse to represent the people of this country. rob: art, is one of the problems, as people look at the number and we just saw 10, 15 years ago under the bush administration, it was as high as this number but the difference was types of people were mostly migrants, men from méxico that could easily be sent back, this group that's coming in now -- >> definitely -- rob: these people are probably going to be staying here. >> no, that's where the problem is, they are staying because they are getting released. huge factor that a lot of us are concerned with, they are coming across with children and in many instances these children are not their children and they are just using them as an extra tool so they can get released within the country at a much faster pace than before.

jillian: at what point everyone would get on board and say this is something that we need to team up together and fight this? >> you know, that's a crystal ball question. i think they need to do it now, look at the videos that have been out there, look at the reporters that have taken the time to come out here and seen the actual issues. i mean, there's a lot of videos, there's a lot of pictures, there's a lot of testimony, i do not know how these individuals can still say, oh, it's not a crisis, it's not a big deal. you know what it comes down to, they need to prove that their love for this country is more important than their anger towards the president because the president is doing everything that should be done to control our nation's borders and to make sure that we are safe in this country and everyone needs to get on board with that. rob: a lot of people on the left say this is a humanitarian crisis, these are asylum seekers, here is one guatemalan official says this isn't an asylum problem. >> politicians have said

not think that there's anything wrong with what bernie sanders is saying, what aoc is saying, the environment is not just about our generation but future generations and i think it's important. rob: gus, moderates out there will say that the green new deal is militant activism, the plan could disrupt if not destroy large portion of the economy here in this country, is that scary for moderate democrats to be looking at candidates most of which in 2020 are supporting this deal? >> i think it should, definitely, look, you have a candidate for president who is help essentially boosting candidacy now that joe biden is in the race and is trying to get the hard-core leftists to really come out and support him during the primaries, it's important for him really and key to his -- to his victory or victories in the primaries, so look, i think it's important to note that the president is going to run on the economy and this deal what it

does it essentially destroy all the gains that we have made over the last 3 years under this president and so i think it's going to be incredibly impactful in 2020. rob: let's look at information here, poll here, climate change pretty important in 2020 according to this. look at that, number 2 on the list, health care dominating, that's for democratic voters what they want to see in 2020. it is a big issue for democratic voters, another one here, these are the candidates that are supporting the green new deal. it is a tremendous amount, most of the major names but wendy, over to you, one big name that's not on there is joe biden and he has been tremendously popular early on here. do you think that's the message coming from a big portion of democratic voters that maybe the green new deal isn't what you should be like. >> i don't think so, do i think that what we know about biden and what has been hear biden as vice presidential candidate or vp appeal to what we call flyover states, appeal to blue-collar workers, although we are still waiting to see where

he stands on environmental issues, if you do know politics, biden is not going to lean hard left, he is going to come to a middle ground on this saying, a, the environment is important and it's something that we should look but also let's make sure that we are not ousting the individuals who are working at different plans, the individuals that are the blue-collar workers and that's where biden will hit the sweet spot. rob: gus, if you look at the economy is very strong, you look gran like the green new deal, we lose tremendous amount with china, they make things for so cheap. the green new deal would not affect them at all and things more expensive to produce in the country. what would the plan do to our economy if bernie sanders is elected in 2020 and implemented? >> well, definitely, we will impact greatly in negative way, look, the green new deal some are saying that it will cost upwards of $93 trillion for reference, the u.s. took in less than $4 trillion this past year,

so look, no money really to be able to implement fully and we are talking about almost $600,000 per taxpayer, that would devastate the u.s. economy. per taxpayer, it would definitely destroy the u.s. economy and i think, look, it's all for rainbows and unicorns because at the end of the day, there's nothing that you can -- there's nothing this plan about concrete really that you can address in how other people from across the i'll come together and really help to reduce the footprint of the united states which is what you'd like to do and have been done by other countries in a way that is not so devastating. rob: right. >> of course, that's not the topic of conversation, they want to go extreme -- extremes here to be able to turn out their base. rob: yeah, all right, gus, wendy, we appreciate your time this morning. >> thank you, rob. jillian: 37 minutes after the hour, big pharma under fire, legal battle underway after prosecutors say drug makers

>> well, sure, i'm a christian american and conservative in that order and vice president mike pence has echoed similar sentiment, complement him for amazing leadership of how he's able to articulate a christian world view from the second highest office in the land and secondly, what i have to say is that christians all across the country, all across the world are under attack and i don't think this necessarily gets as much attention as it should, let's use one example, under the previous administration, remember it was the little sisters of the poor that came under the full force of federal government under president barack obama. the little sisters of the poor that were being force today pay for something that was against their deeply held religious beliefs and his warning is something that we as christians understand which is if you hold the beliefs you will be persecuted, going to be attacked, however, under the trump administration they've had the back of christians more so than any other president in recent history and if not in all

of american history by protecting religious liberty and freedoms by repealing the individual mandate and obamacare, putting gorsuch and kavanaugh and 105 circuit judges, huge victory and well taken by christians like myself. yeah, i mean, it looks to be more venomous and vile than ever in religious base, sure, i would agree with that, yeah. jillian: do you personally feel that christians, to use the word attacked now that you've experienced? >> well, look, i definitely think that the volume has been raised and the cultural conversation in this country and i will say that for whatever reason there's a particular amount of animosity towards students and young people on college campus across the country excluding liberty university, by the way, which is christian university for being christian. this is the work that we do at turning point usa, we are not a
