heather: families of 9/11 victims taking the fbi to court asking a judge to force the bureau to review rejected names from memos that would show who provided support to the hijackers before the attacks inside the us. joining me is the attorney fighting on behalf of those families, thank you for joining us this morning, we appreciate it. the question everyone at home has is why are these names redacted and who is the fbi working for? >> a lot of clients are asking that question. a report complaining about that fact, the fbi has known for a long time that certain saudi government officials were involved in 2000 in meeting the first hijackers from al qaeda that came to the country and help support them and give them established into american society. >> were they are training.

clear. heather: what the reason they give the families that they are protecting these individuals? >> they claim national security and state secrets, that they are still investigating. the murder of 3000 americans after 18 years -- heather: you would think they deserve all the answers they could get. >> every american deserves those answers. heather: what do you hope the end result will be and what do you hope to accomplish? >> we hope the fbi realizes they should disclose this information and not cover for any nation including saudi arabia and provide information that will assist us in pursuing justice against the saudi government for what happened in 2001. heather: when will you get an answer? >> delivering more documents to us in the next 60 days.

here to discuss is lisa garber. thank you for joining us this morning. this aggravates everyone. you get these robo calls on your cell phone. what can we do about it and what is the potential danger? >> the statistics are staggering. in addition to what you mentioned over 50% of phone calls received by americans every they are robo calls. on the increase for years now. part of what is happening is scammers are getting smarter and using the technology to their benefit. we are seeing neighbor spoofing which means they are falsifying phone numbers that look like they are coming from your neighborhood. heather: make it looks like your home number. >> off by a couple digital your phone number or a family's phone number of the problem is it is so easy to falsify our phone number because the use voice number internet protocols, they can make a phone call from a computer. you can look it up yourself. it is easy to do and they are getting more depth at doing it. heather: here's what the sec chair had to say. >> we are taking every step we

can and enforcement action to make sure consumers can rely on their phones. it is getting out of control and i as a consumer am sick of it. heather: has across the line of no return? >> they are trying to get better technology to authenticate phone calls and it is nearly impossible. they have said that for years. consumers need to be proactive. your cell phone number is almost as valuable as your social security number. it is a gateway if you think about it for identification when you log into your online banking account you get a code for your phone or gmail or whatever. just be careful when you see an unknown number, don't answer it. more likely they will call you back and you get put on a list and on the dark net and you are somebody susceptible to these calls. heather: we could show you the states with the most robo calls. if you happen to be in one of

these states, atlanta, georgia, 109.9 million, washington dc, texas, louisiana and it runs the gamut from there. >> cell phone comedies are trying to help with these phone calls, there are different applications, all of these cell phone provider service, trying to come out with the latest. update your phone. different apple, apple, android, google, offering different applications to block these calls but be careful what you are picking up because even picking up the phone can put you at risk. heather: returning the call? >> never return the call. not just to give up information. not just there might be a long distance number and tricking you into paying exorbitant fees but they go to the hacker themselves. heather: let's hope somebody can figure it out soon.
