obama-biden i covered him in the '08 campaign they said in year one they would pass comprehensive immigration reform and sign it into law. that obviously did not happen even though they had democrats running the house and senate. the president jumping on this issues tweeting overnight, neither have a clue, trying to force migrants into our country. our country is full, detention centers, hospitals and schools are packed. the president pushing hard on this issue. >>the white house putting out a letter yesterday on this issue, sending it to congress hoping desperate they'll do something about it. they said, the situation has continued to deteriorate and is exceeding the previous lew high-end estimate. it's necessary to -- protection of property and immediate welfare of individuals. if the amount of people coming is so unsustainable that we can't imagine it and then we don't know where the folks are,

brennon. i'm sure he and other democrats would say he's a former cia director, understands the complicated relationship with iran and the democrats want to get that perspective. >> yeah, i think the problem is this, that john brennon was really just a willful carrier of vladimir putin's virus that he injected into our political process. john brennon is extraordinary politicized, making unfounded speculative claims about the president which caused partisan friction. if we're interested in building a bipartisan consensus for how we defend ourselves and counter the threat from iran, i don't think this is the right way to do it. >> in fact, you have an op-ed at foxnews.com about how putin must be laughing about all of this because you've got not just the fact that brennon is still this powerful force briefing house democrats about big issues like

iran, but he and others continue to push this narrative about russian collusion which is what putin wants to hear about when others here in america may want to turn the page. >> yeah, i wrote an op-ed a few days back about that and what i thought the mueller report left out was that this was not a clan clandestine operation by vladimir putin. it was meant to be discloverred. i think putin knew if there were kremlin return address on his operations then they would achieve greater effect. that's what we've seen and brennon has made it that much worse. >> and now you have the attorney general, william barr talking about how he wants to investigate the investigators and see what brennon and maybe james comey and others were doing with the intelligence they had, with the dossier which was unverified. and i asked you then, moving

and then there's the open road where it's just a road they're walking right down. >> one thing not to be forgotten too is the horrific situation that so many women and children and brian highlighted that. there are women that face sexual assault in many numbers. when we talk about a humanitarian crisis, those are the faces you need to be thinking of, the men and children, of course men as well. but it's hard to see a sick child, hard to see these women facing sexual assault because it's incentivized for them to come here and the conditions are poor. when you talk about border security, you're talking about protecting those people enduring a journey that is unsafe for them. >> who takes advantage of this? the drug smugglers, the cartels. those are the ones sneaking across not caught by border patrol. >> well done, brian. vice president pence defending his faith as the war on religion rage wages on.

rapidly disappear. ed: the president does make a fair point there has been radical rhetoric and action on the left. you have andrew cuomo signing that bill into law here in new york state and the governor democrat in virginia ralph north am made those comments that really shocked the conscience of a lot of people but i would add that the president isn't just tweeting about that because of radicalism on the left. he seems concerned about what some are doing on the right, in alabama, maybe missouri, where some of the state laws restrict ing abortion rights, may go too far, may end up going to the supreme court and getting knocked down and hurt the cause of pro-life. pete: but most of the bills have carved out rape, incest and life of the mother. most of them have going to the heartbeat as a viable place for the child inside the womb and that's a pretty defensible position. he's saying stay on target with that, push that challenge. we can win because even if the left is energized as they may be because they are going to run with the planned parenthood crap the pro-life crowd that sees a

ed: he certainly is putting pressure on democrats who now run the house and rightly so they have a responsibility to govern but sir with all due respect do you have any regrets about the first two years of the trump adminitration when you and others were in charge and didn't get enough of this kind of funding particularly in the wall , we could talk about the beds other issues to deal with, i know you tried but do you regret you didn't succeed enough >> well there's always more we wish we could have done we passed billions of dollars of funding for the ball in fact president trump talks about how he is building hundreds of miles of wall right now. there's a lot more we need to do , and there's a lot more we need to do on closing the loopholes and getting back to a more secure functioning border, we had zero democrats that worked with us to do that, when we were in the majority, so we at least were able to move some bills to show what we stand for, but none of them got through the senate and not one democrat voted to address this problem with border security but it's going to be a big issue in the upcoming election next year. ed: congressman as you know another big issue is lingering

impact of the mueller report, the democrats going after the attorney general unfairly so you and other republicans have said but then one of your own republican from michigan went on this little tweet storm last night among other things you see him right there. he says here are my principal conclusions. one the attorney general has deliberately misrepresented mueller's report and number two, he says a republican that the president has engaged in impeach able conduct and that partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances few members of congress have read the report and he calls you and others out, sir, to stand up to this president. how do you react to one of your fellow republicans saying there's been impeachable conduct >> well i strongly disagree and if you look at what he said about barr, barr's been completely upfront about this from the very beginning. even in his assessment of the mueller report i think one thing that's been very clear from both sides. republican and democrat that have looked at it is that there

jedediah: thank you, todd well pete buttigieg will have to answer a lot of questions about the which etonight and who better than to explain some stuff going on in the economy right now than maria bartiromo, host of "sunday morning futures" , right here on the couch, maria welcome. maria: great to see you all. jedediah: so we have good stuff coming out in economic news with salaries on the rise. maria: salaries are up 3.2% year-over-year but there are some people expecting salaries to be actually moving up 4% to 5 % in the coming couple of years because you've got an enormous amount of demand for jobs, businesses, are seeing much better sentiment they pes resee ing more cash, and as a result they're putting that cash to work in terms of r & d and it , and needing more workers. obviously we've got more job openings than we actually have people to take those jobs so this is a very good situation. it's going to be tough to run against the current reality, that is the economic boom that we're seeing, as a result of things like tax cuts, as well as the rollback in regulations. pete: well the former vice president joe biden not impressed. he says president trump actually

inherited this economy. listen. >> i know president trump likes to take credit for the economy and the economic growth and the low unemployment numbers. president trump inherited an economy from obama/biden administration. that was given to him. just like he in hair inherited everything else in his life just like everything else he's been given in his life, he's in the process of that as well. >> [applause] jedediah: wow. maria: wow. just wow. all i can say is i remember right in the middle of the obama biden economy, you had an increasing number of companies acquiring companies in europe, and then taking all their headquarters to ireland, why? because ireland had such a lower corporate tax rate that you saw all of these companies trying to get a better situation in terms of the corporate tax rate and take their headquarters to ireland so much so that the obama administration had to make a rule you couldn't do that. that was basically the reality of the obama economy as was 2%

was russian disinformation. we seem to be getting new information, suggesting yes it was. >> yeah, ed thanks for asking that question. so first of all this is information that the house republicans and the intelligence committee should have had so these were notes that were taken before the fisa was and carter page in the fall of 2016 so this is a couple weeks before in those notes that the were not provided to congress we now see not only does the state department not believe christopher steele but the clinton campaign operative because he thinks there's actually a russian consolate in miami, but it also has the sources. now who is one of these sources? one of the sources is one of the equivalent of the cia director, former cia director of moscow, for the russian government. now, think about that. do we really think that a former cia director equivalent in russia would be working with our intelligence community and be some kind of asset?
