6:00 pm
judge jeanine: breaking tonight. details emerging of the deal president trump struck with mexico last night to avert crippling tariffs. welcome to "justice." i'm judge jeanine pirro. thank you for making last week's "justice" the number one show all weekend long. tonight we'll go for it again with help from congress man devin anyone's, corey lewandowski, charlie kirk and more. we are hearing more about the president's deal with mexico to curb illegal immigration at our southern border and stop at least for now president trump's plan to hit that country with tariffs that were supposed to start monday. mexico will send thousands of
6:01 pm
troops to the border and offer jobs to asylum seekers sent back across the border by the united states. mexico also agrees to take steps to stop human trafficking and smuggling organizations. it's a big win for the president. here now is my opening statement. he is the first president in a generation willing to tackle america's worsening intractable out of control problem and he's willing to do so single handedly if he must. congress would rather deny him a win on immigration and let the problem continue to proliferate, no matter the harm to the american people. even his own party fails him yet again. last month 144,000 entered through our southern border illegally, violating our laws simply because they want a better life in america. who doesn't?
6:02 pm
this is the greatest country on earth. yet we are at risk of losing our greatness as we reward illegals whose backgrounds we don't know, who surge through our borders because they know we are powerless to enforce our laws. we watch as they are gifted with the opportunity to board buss to get to the interior of the united states. we give them lawyers and courts and translators and food and housing before they even get there. the irony is that those who respectfully wait their turn and get a visa and come here legally and learn our history and swear allegiance to the united states, who wants to skrimp and save, they have to pay for their own lawyers while the illegals get them for free. as they surge our borders with numbers increasing day by day. last month 144,000, the highest number in over a decade.
6:03 pm
they know at some point the u.s. has to smarten up. yet congress continues to fail us. not only block the president's efforts, but actually passing a bill this week that would give 2.5 million dreamers amnesty. a big note to illegals. not only would they let you in and pay for food, housing, education, medical and travel. but sooner or later they would give you amnesty providing yet another incentive for illegals to cross. so they say to themselves what have you got to lose? the house in their largess in granting that amnesty does nothing to address the crisis at the border and the bill does nothing to secure the border or enforce our laws. the president offered a bill that did both. but no one in congress was interested. legal status for dreamers?
6:04 pm
temporary protected status and money for the wall? these republicans supported the democrat effort that provided no resolution for the crisis at the border. so the president is left to go it alone. congress has failed every step of the way while attempting to give itself a raise. what can be done to fix the crisis? this is the kind of answer you get from the left. >> i asked you the first time, what would you do? you said the president should pass a law. and that isn't how sit works. i am asking for one suggestion from you as to something that would be concrete to stop the influx at the border right now. specifically. >> okay, i can give you three. but let's start with financial
6:05 pm
aid to the enforcement community that they would allow asylum seekers to come in and apply accord towsmght s. law and that if they were granted asylum, then they would be allowed to come in legally. >> come on, there are already laws to apply for asylum. the left doesn't have a plan other than to fill the democrat voting rolls and the republicans going along with them. congress ought to be fired for forcing this president to negotiate with a foreign power to solve a national immigration crisis our own government won't solve either because it's a manufactured crisis, are you stupid and blind? or do you hate the president so much that you would rather we americans suffer the burden of
6:06 pm
the children illegals into our already too small classrooms. not having the budget to hire the teachers to deal with the number of languages they speak. not to mention ms-13 gang members in schools who kill student at a high school on long island. who pays for this? this last month, 11,000 unaccompanied kid came in who are entitled to an education. i get. if you think your property taxes are high now, strap in. so the president sits in the white house in september waiting to strike a deal while congress goes on vacation. planning junkets to brussels and afghanistan. now as he negotiates with mexico they do nothing. while illegal immigrants continue to set records day by
6:07 pm
day crossing the border knowing they will be released to disappear. congress would rather sit on their hands and give themselves a pay raise. i have an idea. fire the whole lot of them and bring in every family that's been affected by illegal immigration. including the legal immigrants who had to wait their turn and every family who might have had a job but for someone else doing it cheaper. and every family whose school taxes have gone up and every family affected by crime committed by an illegal. it comes down to one thing. the strength of the president to again defy the odd, the naysayers, and the doirts. to do what no president has done. fiction this mess. this is donald trump's moment in history. and i for one believe in the man and the moment. so should you. that's my open. tell me what you think on my

facebook page and twitter #judgejeanine. here with reaction to president trump's announcement on the deal with mexico, devin nunes. good evening. congressman, as you know, the president was able to work out an 11th hour deal with mexico holding off the tariffs that were scheduled to go into effect. and up to 25 percent thereafter. and mexico agreed to certain conditions. we have a screen of some of those conditions. troops to the border as well as migrant asylum seekers will stay in mexico giving migrant a chance to get a job and stop human trafficking and smuggling organizations. that's not what i was look for, guy. but how can we make sure mexico
6:09 pm
stay with those particular requirements? what region do we have? >> the easiest way we can do it would be bypassing a law in congress. last congress republicans tried to pass something and got zero democrat votes. this year the democrats failed to pass anything to deal with immigration reform. even though they campaigned on it, they don't do anything about it. >> this is a do nothing congress. but my question is, how can we make sure that mexico complies with those conditions that we agreed to. several month ago as i recall, mexico agreed to hold asylum seekers in mexico and now we are back to it again. everything fell apart. what leverage do we have with mexico? >> the only way we can do it is the way they are doing it. he has the ability to put on a

tariff. so look, mexico send their foreign minister here. if we continue down that path working slowly with mexico and with our allies and the canadians, that would be helpful. but the challenge is you have nancy pelosi who -- congress has to write the laws. we can put together a work permit program and take care of the kid who were brought here illegally. these are things congress can do. judge jeanine: you can talk about it until cows come home. it's not being done. republicans from the house, these seven republicans agree to give a path to citizenship for amnesty to 2 1/2 million dreamers with no resolution for the crisis at the border. these people should be ashamed of themselves. but in the end -- >> the problem with passing something only by itself, you
6:11 pm
don't get -- if you just make a bunch of people legal and give them amnesty, you don't take care of that permit problem you need working out your culture and the high-tech sector. you don't secure the border. so that one thing only doesn't work, and that's the problem. the democrats haven't put anything on the table. when the republicans did do it with the support of the president the democrats didn't vote for it. elections matter. and i think at the end of the day the american people have to demand reform. judge jeanine: as i said, they should all be fired. i am going to ask, nancy pelosi made a statement on the trump administration's threat to mexico. she said president trump must stop sabotaging good faith bipartisan efforts in congress to address this complex problem
6:12 pm
in a humane manner. what do you think she is talking about when the president is sabotaging good faith bipartisan efforts in congress? what are those bipartisan efforts she is talking about? >> those are probably happening only in her own mind. she is lying. there is no bipartisan talks going on. i have been involved in those talks in the past. there is a bill out there that 350 members of congress and the 435 to vote for. these are mysterious negotiations nobody knows about because they are not true. judge jeanine: when she talks about sabotaging good faith efforts, the president has no choice but to go to mexico to sabotage a deal.
6:13 pm
mexico has no incentive. you have got to use a hammer. i understand monday there will be hearings in congress. what's going on monday? >> next week we start the impeachment hearings. this is where the democrats are planning to fuel their base. they are bringing john dean monday, the former knicks yoonl guy. judge jeanine: wasn't dean convicted of a crime. >> yes, he was. exactly. and then wednesday the house intelligence tonight he is going to bring in retired fbi agents to tell us how trump obstructed justice on a crime he didn't commit. luckily for us i think a least people will know this individual. the republicans get a witness. we are bringing andy mccarthy, retired department of justice lawyer, 20-year prosecutor. very accomplished man.
6:14 pm
hopefully we'll have balance wednesday. but the show starts this week. this is when the democrats begin to throw fuel on their base. they have been poisoning the american people for 2 1/2 years. this is going to be their road to impeachment. just by having hearings like this, judge, this does no good. they all know the dossier was garbage. they know they paid for it. they know there is zero evidence of trump colluding with any russians. they know christopher steele and all the people they hired collude with russia. we know harry reid, the former democrat leader in the senate had the dossier before the election. the press was in on this. the press won't call them out. judge jeanine: congressman devin

anyone's, thanks for being with us. here with more reaction to the democrats' constant, unrelented attacks on the president, corey lewandowski. thanks for being with us. one of the points i was trying to make with the congressman is that mexico is not agreeing to do any of this stuff voluntarily. and you have nancy pelosi who is criticizing the president because he's doing everything he can. unfortunate live he has to go to a foreign power to try to resolve a problem within this country. the tariffs deserve our support. but it was bipartisan objection to the tariffs. why was that? >> judge. the reason is they are so afraid that this president is going to solve the crisis on the southern border that they politicized for the last 30 years. the truth is both the republicans and democrats had an opportunity to fix the crisis on
6:16 pm
the southern border and didn't do it. when donald trump ran for office. he said he would build a wall down there. so what he said was, hey, mexico, we'll put a 5% tariff on you starting monday if you don't do something to fix it. they showed up in the united states, they came up with a resolution and put troops on the border because they don't want to see the tariffs take place. the republicans failed for two years. they failed to fix the problem that donald trump is now fixing. judge jeanine: the amazing part of it is i don't understand what the problem is with the tariffs. the tariffs are the only thing i think got mexico to the table. to be honest with you, i'm not so convinced mexico can follow through. 6,000 national guard to the southern border and the interior of mexico. are they sending them to the guatemala border or to places that really matters.
6:17 pm
can mexico afford to give jobs and healthcare to all of these people in who is going to monitor that. what do they known they will give them a chance to get a job. that doesn't mean they will get a job. fan they say they will help' stop human trafficking. big deal. they should do that on their own. i think the president should have reciprocal tariffs with everybody. if they tax us, we tax them. >> i think lindsey graham is going to introduce that bill in the senate wednesday. this tell prayer i stay on the -- the -- this temporary stay on the tariffs is a 90-day stay. judge jeanine: i'm not convinced they can keep any of this, jobs or healthcare or anything else
