9:00 pm
we are hearing more about the president's deal announced by the state department to curb illegal immigration at the southern border and top for now president trump's plan to hit the country with tariffs that were supposed to start monday.
9:01 pm
mexico will send thousands of troops to the border. mexico also agrees to take steps to stop human trafficking and smuggling organization. it's a big win for the president. here is my opening statement. he is the first president in a generation willing to tackle america's worsening intractable, out of control problems, and he's willing to do so single handedly if he must. congress would rather deny him the win on immigration and let the problem proliferate no matter the harm to the american people. even his own party failed him again. last month 144,000 people come
9:02 pm
through our border, violating our laws. they want a better life in america. who doesn't. this is the greatest country on earth. but we aren at risk of losing our greatness. they surge through our borders because they know we are powerless to enforce our laws. we give them buss to get to the entireover of the united states. we give them courts and lawyers and food and housing before they even get there. those who respectfully wait their turn and get a visa and come here legally who want to learn our history and want to skrimp and save, they have to pay for their own lawyer while the illegals get them for free. as they surge our borders with numbers increasing day by day. last month 144,000, the highest
9:03 pm
number in more than a decade. they know at some point u.s. has to smarten up. yes, congress continues to fail us not only block the president's efforts, but actually passing a bill that would give 2.5 million dreamers amnesty. a signal to illegals not only will they let you in and pay for food, housing, education, medical and travel, but sooner or later they will give you amnesty after thee release you into the interior providing another incentive for illegals to cross. they say to themselves, what have you got to lose. yet the house does nothing to address the crisis at the border, and the bill does nothing to security border or enforce our laws. the president has offered a bill that did both. but no one in congress was
9:04 pm
interested. legal status for dreamers? temporary protected status and money for a wall? these republicans supported the democrat effort that provided no resolution to the crisis at the border. don bacon, mario balart. brian fitzpatrick, will hurd, dan newhouse. chris smith and fred upton. congress has goints own way while attempting to give itself a raise. this is the kind of answer you get from the left. >> what would you do? you said the president should pass a law. as andy just explained isn't how it works. i am waiting for one suggestion from you as to something else that would be concrete that would stop the influx at the border right now. specifically. >> okay. i can give you three.
9:05 pm
but let's start with financial aid to the enforcement community that they would allow asylum seekers to come in and apply according to u.s. law and that if they were granted asylum, then they would be allowed to come in legally. >> come on, there are already laws to apply for asylum. the left doesn't have a plan other than to fill the democrat voting rolls. in fact, now that i think of it, congress ought to be fired for forcing this president to negotiate with a foreign power to solve a national immigration crisis that our own government won't solve. either because it's a manufactured crisis -- are you side and lining or do you hate the president so much you rather we americans suffer the burden
9:06 pm
of the children illegals into our already too small classrooms. not having the budget to hire the teachers to deal with the variety of languages they speak. not to mention ms-13 gang members in schools who killed students in a high school on long island. who pays for this? given this last month, 11,000 unaccompanied kids came in who are entitled to an education. i get. but get ready. if you think your property taxes are high now, strap in. the president sits in the white house in december waiting to strike a deal while congress goes upon vacation. and now as he negotiates with mexico, they do nothing. while illegal immigrants continue to set record day by
9:07 pm
day crossing the border, knowing they will be released to disappear. congress would rather sit on their hand and give themselves a pay raise. i have an idea. fire the whole lot of them and by in every family who has been affected by illegal immigration. including the legal immigrants who have to wait their tush. and every flame that might have had a job. and every family affected by crime committed by an illegal. it all comes down to one thing. the strength of the president to again defy the odds, the naysayers, and the doubters. to do what no president has done. fiction this mess. this is donald trump's moment in history. and i for one believe in the man and the moment. so should you.
9:08 pm
that's my open. tell me what you think on my frontal boundary page on and twitter #judgejeanine. congressman devin nunes joins me now. as you know, the president was able to work out an 11th hour deal with mexico, holding off the tariffs. and mexico has agreed to certain conditions, and i think that we have got a screen of some of those conditions. troops to the border as well as migrant asylum seekers who will stay in mexico, giving migrants the chance to get a job and stop human trafficking and smuggling organizations. how can we make sure mexico stays with those particular
9:09 pm
requirements? what leverage do we have? >> the easiest way to do it would be by actually passing a law in congress. last congress republicans tried to pass something and got zero democrat votes. this year the democrats have yet to pass anything to do with immigration reform. even though they campaigned on it, they don't do anything about it. judge jeanine: this is a do-nothing congress. but my question is, how can we make sure mexico complies with those conditions that were agreed to. several months ago as i recalled, mexico agreed to hold those asylum seekers in mexico, and now we are back to it again. everything fell apart. what leverage do we have with mexico? >> the only way we docket is the way we are doing it. nobody wants to do that because it's not good for the economy.
9:10 pm
mexico send their foreign minister here. if we continue down that path working slowly with mexico, with our allies and with the canadians, if we can pass the u.s.-mexico free trade agreement. we can put together a work permit program and take care of the kid who were brought here illegally. things are things it takes the congress to do. judge jeanine: it's not being done. the democrats and seven republicans from the house, i put them names up in my open. these 7 republicans agreed to give a path to citizenship or amnesty i am not sure what it was to 2.5 mill dreamers with no resolution to the crisis at the bordered. >> the problem with passing something like that you don't get -- if you just make a bunch
9:11 pm
of people legal and give them amnesty you don't take care of the permit problem where you need people to work in agriculture and the high-tech sector. you don't take care of the criminals and secure the border. one thing only doesn't work. the democrats haven't put anything on the table. when the republicans did do it with the support of the president the democrats didn't vote for it. so elects matter. and i think at the end of the day the american people have to demand reform. judge jeanine: as i said, they should all be fired. now i'm going to ask for the call board for nancy pelosi. she made a statement on the trump administration's threat to mexico. she said president trump must stop sabotaging good-faith, constructive and bipartisan efforts in congress to address
9:12 pm
this complex problem in a humane manner. what do you think she is talking about? what are those bipartisan ets she is talking -- efforts she is talking about? >> those are probably only happening in her own mind. she is lying. there are no bipartisan talks going on. i have been involved in those talk in the past. there is a bill out there, these are mysterious negotiations nobody knows about because they are not true, they are not happening. judge jeanine: when she talk about sabotaging good-fat d-faih efforts, the president has to use the leverage which i think is the only hammer he's got. mexico has no incentive. you have got to use a hammer. they have no incentive to follow
9:13 pm
through. i understand monday there will be some hearings in congress. what is going on monday? >> next week we start the impeachment hearings. this is where the democrats are planning to fuel their base and they are bringing john dean monday the former nixon guy. judge jeanine: wasn't dean convicted of a crime? >> yeah, he was. and then wednesday the house intelligence committee will bring in a retired fbi agent to tell us how trump obstructed justice on a crime he didn't commit. but the republicans get a witness this week on the house intelligence committee. we are bringing in andy mccarthy, retired department of justice lawyer. 20-year prosecutor. very accomplished man. but the show starts this week.
9:14 pm
this is where the democrats begin to throw fuel on their base. they have been poisoning the american people for 2 1/2 years. but this will be their road to impeachment. i am shocked they are going to do it. just by having hearings like this, judge, this does no good. they all know the dossier was garbage. they know they paid for it. they know there is zero edof trump colluding with -- zero edof trump colluding. we know harry reid, the former democrat leader in the senate had the dossier before the election. the press was in on it. now they are having these hearings designed to intensify their base. judge jeanine: thanks for being
9:15 pm
with us. here with more reaction to the democrats. former trump campaign manager, corey lewandowski. thanks for being with us. one of the point i was trying to make with the congressman is that mexico is not agreeing to do any this stuff voluntarily. and nancy pelosi criticizing the president because he's doing egg he can, and unfortunately he has to go to a foreign power to solve a problem in our country. there was bipartisan objection to the tariffs. why was that? >> the reason is because they are so afraid this president is going to solve the crisis on the southern border they have polite sighed for the last 3d they have politicized for the last 30 years. the democrats and republicans had the chance to fiction the
9:16 pm
problem -- to fix the problem on the southern border and didn't do it. he said we are going to put a 5% tariff on monday if you don't fix it. they showed up in the united states and they are putting 6,000 troops on the border. the republicans failed for two years. paul ryan and his band of merry men failed to fix the problem donald trump is fixing. judge jeanine: i don't understand what the problem is with the tariffs. the tariffs is the only thing i think got mexico to the table. 6,000 national guard they sent to the southern border and interior of mexico. are they sending them to the guatemala border and places where it really matters?
9:17 pm
who is going to monitor that? and what do they mean by saying they are going to give him a chance to get a job? that doesn't mean they are going to give them a job. they say they will stop human trafficking. they should be doing it on their own. the president should have reciprocal tariffs with everybody. if they thanks us, we tax them. end of story. >> that makes so much sense. congress should do that. congressman duffy from wisconsin has that bill. this temporary stay on the tariffs is a 90-day stay. mexico hasn't held up their end of the bargain. judge jeanine: i don't think they can provide jobs or healthcare to these earl -- thee
9:18 pm
illegals. the president said dow jones has had the best week of the year. what's going on with the stock market, corey? >> you know, if you look at the dow this week, it's up 1,158 points. the stock market is up 4% because they see what the president is doing. it's because the tax cuts and being tough on the trade issue and making sure america has a chance to compete in the global marketplace. he created 6 million new jobs since the election. hispanic americans, african-americans, asians. if you put a tariff on us, we'll put a tariff on you. cut taxes on american workers

9:25 pm
received that tip on july 31. that is official fbi story through leaks. july 31, 2016 the case starts against trump. but that can't be possible because the fine is in london two weeks earlier meeting with who? christopher steele who writes the dossier on trump and george papadopoulos is nowhere in that dossier. so the fbi story about investigating trump july 31 when two weeks earlier they were meeting steel in london doesn't make sense. those are the questions i believe durham is nailing people to the wall on. judge jeanine: barr is clear there are things that don't make sense. fbi is sticking to their story it started july 31.
9:26 pm
do you remember peter strzok in the congressional hearings? they said it started july 31. then when trey gowdy went after him, they couldn't give further information about that. then when the fbi told him he couldn't, he forgot. they are so focused on not giving us any information on the comments of that counter-intelligence investigation. that alone tells you something. >> i'm on my second book on this topic. this has been my life. judge jeanine: you and me both. >> i know, you have been dig into this, you have a prosecutor's mind. judge jeanine: i'm and prosecutor. >> headline. this is not about just donald trump. i know this will shock people. it's bigger than this. this was about a rogue intelligence operation being run by the obama administration
