5:28 am
the mueller report had unlimited resources, grand jury, subpoena options, everything that we don't have, how is our committee who can't seem to get through a hearing yesterday without looking like a total joke, how are they going to investigate better than mueller who was fully funded and after a specific reason, we won't be able to do that, they are trying to tar the president. brian: we saw the scope memo, written to jerry nadler, the attorney general will be looking into what started the investigation. we know that john durham in place at this for a while. horowitz is about to release his report. >> if i was in the position that the democrats were in with promises that they were made, if they were going out there saying there's collusion, all this and that about the administration, i would be doing everything to rehabilitate my story, when the origins come out, the strzok, page, comey, mccabe, john dean is the godfather of using
5:29 am
governmental resources to spy on campaigns and what we are finding out now is this was nothing more than coordinated effort by the obama administration department of justice to actually go after a candidate they didn't like, so the democrats know that this stuff is coming out pretty soon, they are going to have to do explaining to the american people of why they tried to take down the president while at the same time realizing and not wanting to look at what was there. one more thing, brian, what mueller did say that we had foreign interference in our election, they tried to schedule a hearing on trying to find out exactly what mueller did find in the affirmative, no, all they want to do is go after the president to satisfy base. >> doug collins and had flashback monday where he had to look at 70's next, coming up next. appreciate it. >> take care. brian: 30 minutes left in the

5:35 am
other things. steve: explain that, how méxico is doing more for the united states at our southern border than congress? >> well, it's simple, the democrats are doing absolutely nothing while the mexicans are stepping up working with the president to try and stop the illegal flow of immigrants coming into the country. they've taken some unprecedented action over the course of the last week, worked with the president and his team to implement these things and we are hopeful that we will see some of the effect of that over the coming weeks and the numbers will start to drop but at the same time democrats in congress for the longest time refuse to acknowledge the fact that there was a problem, now we are starting to see them acknowledge there was a problem but doing absolutely nothing to fix it which may even be worse, now they know there's a problem and they still do nothing, they are so focused on attacking the president and trying to beat him up because they have no message, they have no agenda, that they can't even look at the real problems we have and do anything
5:36 am
to try to fix them. >> sarah, maybe you can expand on this, the deal, more troops in the border, money to give these would-be illegal, some type of job opportunity, health care and shelter in méxico, i get it, some talk about this third-country deal that could be in the works that méxico has to pass through legislature and that the president indicated it's there, nobody else says it's really there, can you tell us what this other side deal will be coming our way? >> i won't get ahead of president trump and president of méxico on making further announcements but we've had had discussion and you can see in joint statement that they released where they said that within the next 90 days further action could be announced and that we will continue those discussions as exactly what we are doing, and exactly what we are talking about, we already have agreement on the way for other action that will help
5:37 am
again solidify méxico's commitment to stop illegal immigrants from coming across our southern border, we have seen them step up in unprecedented way. they went through doing process in 3 to 4 locations to border wide which we think will have a great deal of impact on the number of illegals coming into the country and we are thankful that they've been willing to work with us and we hope that that cooperation will continue and only get better moving forward. ainsley: yesterday we saw john dean testifying in front of house judiciary committee, he was the exnixon aide, he lost his license to practice law, he was convicted of obstruction and he spent time behind bars, here is what he had to say yesterday about the mueller report. >> the last time i appeared before your committee was july 11, 1974 during impeachment inquiry of richard nixon, in many ways the mueller report is to president trump what the so-called watergate road map
5:38 am
officially titled the grand jury report and recommendation concerning transmission of evidence to the house of representatives was to president richard nixon. stated a little differently, special counsel mueller has provided this committee with a road map. ainsley: so what were your thoughts after watching that yesterday? >> frankly, i was really just sad. i think that the display that chairman nadler and the path that he's gone down is true embarrassment to his committee, certainly to the country and i think it's a great disservice to the american people, they deserve far better than what they are getting from democrats in congress. they don't get to redo something because they don't like the result, they didn't like the results to have election, now they don't like the results of the mueller report and they are simply trying to do it all over again, the thing that they did yesterday, this dog and pony show of trotting out dean, is
5:39 am
simply complete embarrassment. let's look at the people that they brought before their committee to make their case, michael cohen, convicted, had to go to jail, now john dean is latest witness and another person who was convicted for lying to congress. the fact that these are star witnesses tells me everything that they need to know, there was no collusion, there was no obstruction and it is absolutely time for them to move on and start working with the president to fix some problems like the crisis at the border, like infrastructure, lowering drug prices, we have a lot of things that we could be doing instead the democrats want to play the games and i think it's a sad, sad day for mostly for them but certainly for the country as well. steve: curious to see democrats and i know it's loud at the white house, fire person drove by, curious what the democrats' reaction would be haven't heard it yet to the department of justice letter that was sent to jerry nadler yesterday by
