we learn a seventh american has died in the dominican republic. aishah hasnie, he has ties to hollywood. >> if you watch shark tank you will know the connection. what a major pr nightmare for the dominican, they have made some headway in the ortiz situation. authorities on the island holding a press conference to announce they arrested a group of criminals offered close to $8000 to kill david ortiz. head of dominican police held up the gun used to shoot the former red sox star. there is in a plastic bag. among the 6 suspects is the accused shooter, 25-year-old known as sani. police are looking for as many as 4 more suspects.

this comes three days after ortiz was shot sunday night at a nightclub. you see the crowds scatter as shots are fired. he is recovering at a boston hospital. his wife updating a saying in part david was able to sit up as well as take some steps. his condition is guarded and he will remain in the icu for the coming days. he is making good progress towards recovery. that is good news to share with you. in the meantime the mystery deepens into the depth of 6 american tourists on the same island. now we are learning shark tank star barbara corcoran's brother also died of similar causes in april. jonathan corcoran was found dead by a friend in his sleep at an unknown dominican republic hotel. dmz is reporting no one knows what led to his death but corcoran told the outlet she was told it was a heart attack and now this is fueling even more suspicions for the families of the other victims. >> you are in the process of grieving and all these other instances come out where it adds

to the pain of not knowing what happened. >> there have been plenty of people especially in the dominican that said this is all a coincidence but the cdc is on the ground now conducting tests of these resorts, the fbi is investigating and the embassy is being kept in the loop. these are clearly signs that officials have at least considered the possibility of something other than natural causes causing these deaths. >> such good news that david ortiz is on the road to recovery hopefully. thank you so much, much more to be looked into. in the meantime breaking overnight the u.s. navy is assisting two tankers attacks in the gulf of thoseman forcing bishops to evacuate after they were reportedly struck by a torpedo. the alleged attack comes amid rising tensions between the us and iran. four oil tankers were targeted of the nearby coast of the united arab emirates just last

that is what we are looking at with everything, got with the democrat so it would have to be something with the intent to interfere and something of value in terms of spending on that information. >> which is what the dnc by spending money on the seal dossier. >> absolutely. if you have a journalist which is different from a government entity, they have journalists all the time from the foreign news sources that write things that are bad information about an american political candidate and that is perfectly fine to use in the context of the campaign. >> in a caveat being if it is to interfere in the election but you don't know if the information is to interfere in the election if you don't get the information first. >> for someone coming in saying i have this information that in and of itself, you can't help if you are approached so it all depends on the context and democrats making such a big deal of it, we've known since donald trump was elected their goal is to impeach and they are going to

they are taking a calculated risk and pandering to the farthest left in my party. i get it particularly are for beto o'rourke because he is in fifth place right now so he's trying to drum up some support from more progressive people but i think this is a mistake. i want them to pay attention to michelle obama's words when they go to we go high. shannon: perhaps they should pay attention to the polling that continues to be done, the majority of -- oppose impeaching donald trump, 61%, pretty overwhelming. >> absolutely, democrats have themselves backed into a corner. not only the 2020 candidates for president but the speaker of the house, nancy pelosi, who said she wants to see the president in jail, the leading candidate, joe biden, he is the moderate, saying the president of the, quote, x essential threat.

it is amazing. this is become the line going into 2020 for the democrats and there is no question, look at the polling you put up for your viewers it is a losing strategy but here's the thing. the extreme left has declared victory in the civil war within the democratic party. shannon: what about that? to the extreme left, is that a wise move or does that mean donald trump will prevail and when? >> my take on that is that leaves a really good opening for the more moderate candidates, amy klobuchar who hasn't had much press lately. this gives her an opportunity for caller heads like hers to prevail. roller coasters are fun for only so long. that is what we are seeing right now. eventually you crave stable ground and there will be candidates like her and mayor pete that can provide that and might gain traction.

shannon: we are not hearing stance on different issues and one of the things they can't talk about is the economy. >> indeed. it is very difficult to campaign against 3% unemployment, record low unemployment, record wage growth etc. and so again now that the civil war is over and the extreme left has declared victory all they do is throw the lock am of stuff on the table and i wish senator klobuchar the best of luck but in today's democratic party she has as much chance becoming the democratic nominee is me. >> i just want caller voices to prevail. i wish her the best of luck.

technology especially considering the fact that china is looking to be the leader in artificial intelligence by 2030. they put in his grand plan because they said whoever controls ai will control the world and what this technology is about is control, manipulating people. deep fake technology is not fully mainstream. there is still -- it does take a level of sophistication to produce these videos. there is often glitches and pixelation issues that make it obvious to determine these videos are forged but the technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that we may very well see the day in the near future we won't be able to tell the difference between what is real and what is fake and this accessibility of this artificial intelligence is making it easier and easier for foreign adversaries to manipulate us through it. shannon: for people who haven't seen this we want to show you this, this is not mark zuckerberg, this is altered video. see if you can tell the difference.

could be simultaneously promoting the start of a nuclear war. imagine our conversation right now live being manipulated away that users and viewers are seeing what we are saying different than reality. this is something that absolutely congress should be concerned about and it will be up to these technology companies to do something about it. shannon: here's what the house intelligence committee set on the threat of these deep fake videos. these raise profound questions about national security, democratic governance and individuals and voters no longer able to trust their own eyes or ears when accepting the authenticity of what they see on their screens but then we have facebook. this surprised me that they won't take it down. we will treat this content the same as all misinformation, they will filter it. basically they will make it pop up less on your feed so people have less access to it but they won't take it down because they said we don't have a policy that

stipulates the information you post has to be true. >> quite odd to me, mike zuckerberg said he was going to de-prioritize these videos. that's not good enough then one of the things that will be introduced this week is a deep state bill that will focus on what we can do about it and in this bill what they want to do is generate some buzz that we need to start requiring these companies that are making this technology to put in watermarks or logos are you can tell it is forged and required technology firms to add manipulation detection software like youtube might detect music that has been pirated and finally looking at even potentially imposing fines or jail time for videos created in a way to impact national security. we are going to see a bit more of this but it is good the conversation has started now as the technology advances. shannon: we appreciate it, thank

of random. this is all thanks to earmarking and people at home who might not know what earmarks are. pork added to appropriations bills and these porkbarrel projects often have nothing to do with the original legislation allowing members of congress to funnel tax dollars to pet project in their home districts which is how we end up with these absurd expenditures that are insulting to taxpayers. shannon: and favors being handed out in their home district, $12 million for an aquatic plant control program. >> i don't think anyone can tell us what that even means. some of this stuff is so absurd and earmarking in the past, force taxpayers to foot the bill for things like half $1 million on a museum in north carolina or $200,000 on a tattoo removal
