hillary clinton, very close but then things in other states started to roll in after that and everyone knew trump was going to be the next president of the united states, why started their? >> no secret to democrats and republicans overtakes florida has a good chance of taking the white house but this time around it is very interesting, florida is very unique. we had a big win with governor ron desantis and senator of florida rick scott. i think what you have is a tremendous amount of support from the republican side going to this election and when you look historically at the northern portion of florida leans republican, the southern portion leans democrat. that i 4 core door, you will see tremendous support because this president has not stopped. he has been campaigning from day

one. he is delivering the promises he made in the last election and floridians realize that and recognize that. shannon: that core door, a lot of people credit that with the president's win the last time around in florida. look at the past winners in presidential elections and see how it has always been close going back to 1980 with reagan taking the stated 55.5% and it moves forward from there. what do you think will happen this time around? >> i think we are going to take florida. there are a lot of states in play. when you look at the economy you have 6 million new jobs. you have 1.6 million jobs more than jobseekers. you look at manufacturing jobs, so with an economic perspective,

from securing the border this president is delivering on his promises and the voters are going to deliver him the results to take the white house in 2020. shannon: not only did he talk about the booming economy in a 76 minute long speech, he picked up all of the results, he talked about the wall that he says continues to be built. immigration, he talked about veterans, the importance of veterans and a group of latinos for trump who had gone all the way from miami. >> that's another thing i should mention about florida, a strong latino contingency and a lot of outreach in the latino community. this president has delivered unemployment rate at historic lows for latinos, african-americans, asians so he has unlocked the democrat lock on the minority voter.

house democrats behind closed doors on capitol hill today, lots of folks were waiting for this. for white house staffer will answer questions tied to allegations of obstruction laid out in the mueller report. she will not address questions about working in the trump administration, writing a letter to the judiciary committee chairman saying this hicks is immune from being compelled to testify with respect to matters during her service as senior advisor to the president. hicks is executive vice president and chief communications officer for our parent company, fox corporation. chicago white sox are extending protected netting at their home field. this will be the first major league club to install mesh screening all the way to foul pole following high profile injuries. we reported on those. a fan within the head by a foul ball last week. a younger a was seriously hurt by a line driving last month.

committee, thank you for joining us, appreciate it. i will start with you. what did you think about last night and how will this rollout the different from 2016? >> thank for having me, it is good timing because i haven't been asleep yet but going on the differences between 2016-2020 donald trump was a significant fundraising disadvantage in 2016 behind hillary clinton, she had used a lot of her influence as secretary of state and being a former candidate for president to have a tremendous fundraising advantage. in 2020 donald trump has that fundraising advantage, the top 5 democrat contenders in their first 24 hours of announcing for president raised a combined total of $15 million. donald trump by the time he announced last night had surpassed that it is going to crush that number and if i'm wrong about that i will come back on your show and kevin can shave my head. shannon: don't know if we want to go that far but i was reading the president had raised $100

million so far. talking that amount of money the president can do a lot with that. >> it is an impressive amount of the original point not much is changed since he wrote down the escalator, still talking about cricket hillary and training of a swamp and not providing a vision for the next four years and i think that will hurt him in the next 500 days as we litigate the november election. i have so many friends and family members that voted for this president looking for change, looking for someone to mix up the system, to tackle healthcare, take on immigration and the fact that he hasn't delivered on those priorities means he has to make democrats the bogeyman, take the fight to them and not run on the record of the last two years. shannon: or it shows he needs another four years to accomplish all that which is what he was saying. he did get into some detail that he got further into the speech. let's look at this. specifically to florida, the

2020 presidential preference in florida, 50% showed joe biden over 41% to donald trump, that is the quinnipiac poll and compared to 2016, the presidential election predicted clinton winning florida 50%, donald from 49%. as we know they were wrong last time. are they wrong this time too? >> i think we learned a lot about the polling business in 2016. they were all wrong. donald trump became president -- nate silver, supposed to be the prodigy pollster said hillary clinton had a 99% chance of winning. back to something kevin said. this president has delivered on his promises. 5.8 million new jobs, 3 quarters of jobs the obama administered produce in eight years, donald trump has been at it to and a half years, 10% of those jobs are manufacturing jobs, obama had a net loss of 200,000 jobs

during his 8 years and he said it would take a magic want to bring those jobs back. got news for president obama and his fans, donald trump found that magic ones because all 57 states are booming. shannon: when he talks about jobs getting into that and specifically he only mentioned biden and bernie last night. bernie when it comes to socialism and bring up that thought and what he said in relation to socialism last night. do we have that? go ahead. >> joe biden is going to flame out like he always has. bernie sanders, being a left-wing fringe candidate to be the democrat party's standard bearer, he will be the nominee. that deal was cut after the 2016 election. i think, i googled kevin before

he came on, i don't think he would want to get behind any of the 23 occupants of the clown car that i the democratic field this time. shannon: i want you to respond to this. we have that sound now. >> a vote for any democrat in 2020 is a vote for the rise of radical socialism and distraction of the american dream. shannon: your response. >> i get behind any of the 23 candidates running, even the self-help guru, over this president. to your point, more jobs were created in the final year of the obama administration than in the first year of the trump administration. the fact i am happy to go toe to toe on economic indicators and tremendous job growth created under the obama biden administration. to the president's point he has to make democrats the bogeyman so he talks about radical socialism, they are coming for your jobs and your guns when he doesn't have a record to run on. we are happy to have that fight.
