america. if we were going to pay reparations to slaves, that should have been done immediately after the civil war ended. 150 years later is not the right time. it's more racially divisive. there have been a multitude of government programs to rectify the seasons of slavery. a massive transfer of wealth. we can debate whether the government programs have worked. but to create a government agency that would then take the documents and these family trees for millions of black americans and issue payouts to them, think about how many lawyers would get involved and create an enormous racket. if you are black in america maybe you don't have time to go through your family tree and you can't procure all these documents going back to 1863.

you hire a reparations lawyer. all these reparation lawyers pop up, they charge you 30%, 40% what you are supposed to get. these lawyers are going to prey on black americans. they will never get their payout. it will be a massive and colossal mess. and to be honest with you, the country already lost 600,000 americans fighting the civil war. this country went to war to end slavery. think about all the white americans' fathers in the north that died freeing the slaves. are they entitled to anything? i think it will make things worse not better. >> it will make things worse. these black leaders in congress are trying to exploit black people and exploit the pain of our ancestors. and they want to dissect history
