tv   Watters World  FOX News  June 22, 2019 11:00pm-12:00am PDT

11:00 pm
thanks, kat, tyrus. >> i'm greg gutfeld, i love you, america. [cheers and applause]"l"l"l"l"l" [♪] jesse: welcome to. "watters' world," i'm jesse watters. president trump kicking off his 2020 reelection bid in orlando. the central theme was restoring power to the people. here is how the president framed it. president trump: together we stared down a corrupted, broken political establishment and restored government of, by and for the people. we did not merely transfer power from one party to another, but we transferred power back to you the proud citizens of the united
11:01 pm
states of america. we took on a political machine that tried to take away your voice and your vote. they tried to take away your dignity and your destiny. and that's why the swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently. our patriotic movement has been under assault from the very first day. it was all an illegal attempt to overturn the results of the election, spy on our campaign which is what they did, and subvert our democracy. remember, the understand policy, they went after my family, my business, my finances, my employees. almost everyone that i have ever known or worked with. but they are really going after after you. that's what it's all about. it's not about us, it's about you. they tried to erase your vote.
11:02 pm
erase your legacy of the greatest campaign and greatest election probably in the history of our country. and they wanted to deny you the future that you demanded and the future that america deserves and now america is getting. our radical democrat opponents are driven by hatred, prejudice and rage. they want to destroy you, and they want to destroy our country as we know it. not acceptable, it's not going to happen. so if you what to shut down this rigged system once and for all. then show up november 3, that's your day, big day, and vote, vote, vote. we are going to have a big, big day. remember the only thing these
11:03 pm
corrupt politicians will understand is an earthquake at the ballot box. that's what they will understand. and together we'll make america wealthy again. we'll make america strong again. we'll make america safe again. and we will make america great again. thank you, orlando, thank you, florida. jesse: here with his reaction the president's son, donald trump, jr. the president is leading a movement. it's not just a campaign. no one really understands that. it's people versus the powerful. it's completely transformational. we have never seen anything like it before. explain to me the bond your dad has with his base.
11:04 pm
>> it's incredible. we got there early that morning. people had been camping out for 48 hours. i don't mean two or three people in a tent. tens of thousands of people. it was a thunderstorm before think started letting people -- before they started letting people in and we didn't lose a single person. they were out there in the rain and the heat of summer. when i look at the competition. the people we are up against. they are lucky to put 7 people into a room. you just can't compare them. it is a movement. he's the first politician in modern history who doesn't really need this job. he had a pretty darn good life. he could have stayed at home. but he decided to jump into at swamp. something else that's uncustomary for our politicians
11:05 pm
to do the things you said you were going to do. you can feel the love in the room. jesse: how do you think your father tapped into that? we know he was a big-time developer in manhattan for decade. he works with people who work with their hands. electricians, people who work with steel and concrete. he's given a voice to the forgotten men and women of this country whose jobs were shipped overseas and felt the rest of the political establishment wasn't listening to him. how do you think he formed that bond over the course of his career. >> he wasn't just an executive in his office overlooking fifth avenue. he spent an inordinate amount of time on the job sites. he spent time listening to what the guys on the ground said. jesse: that's what he's doing
11:06 pm
now. he's listen to to the people. we have sound to demonstrate that. your father polled the audience for his reelection slogan. president trump: i'm going to ask you to vote on it. let me hear from your cheers what you like. make america great again. not bad. keep america great. [cheers and applause] i'm ay, maga country, but that wasn't too close. i thought you had it won. but then i heard that cheer, my ear drums will never can the same. jesse: that kind of give and take you don't see in politics. >> you don't. but this is not something new for him. in 2016 he was the same. he didn't need to do scientific polls to find out where people are. when you have 25,000 people in an arena in the rust belt and you hear the things they are
11:07 pm
passionate about. that's all you need. that's what they should be focused on. he hears what matters. and he focused on what mattered. jesse: wasn't it the clintons that took a poll to determine where they should spend vacation? i don't think your father does that. the media was totally disrespectful of this speech. you have an incumbent president officially launching his candidacy for reelection in primetime in a key swing state in florida. and they don't seriously analyze the these and how he's framing the issue. listen to how they tried to denigrate your dad and the audience. >> it turned into a lock her up
11:08 pm
chant. >> we'll not become an angry twrieb tribe. everybody charnts. maga, maga. >> it was a grievance palooza. >> there were people wearing their flip-flops and cargo pants. >> no disrespect to the king of rock 'n roll. but this is elvis. lumbering across the stage, sweating. jesse: the more they attack the president the stronger the bond is. >> they see the results, they see it in their jobs. the media and the left, they have done this incredible thing to try to frame, the people who voted for trump. they are stupid, they are deplorable. they constantly try to do that. they showed up to florida on a
11:09 pm
rainy day in florida in flip-flops. that's their formal attire. the level of hate and disdain the media has for these hard working people, now they are getting it. we didn't fore -- we can't forget that. these are good people. guess what, guys? they get. they see it. they are a hell of a lot smarter and most of of these people in the media who have five friend who all feel the exact same way. they talk to themselves and say it's over. trump can't possibly do this again. they will never understand the americans and their plight. jesse: it reinforces the president's theme that an attack on him is an attack on them. all the spying, lying, investigation, they are not attacking me, they are attacking you, as he points to the crowd, and that's what galvanizes the
11:10 pm
audience. you also galvanized the audience. you took a shot at sleepy joe. let's listen in and you can react. >> i hear brilliant guys like joe biden -- no, no, no, it's wonderful. it's so stupid. well, you know, to his group of about 4 people in the audience, government has failed you. usually as he's groping someone. it ain't pretty but there is something off with that guy. government has failed you. i go wait a second, joe, i actually agree with you. government has failed us. the problem is, joe, you have been in government for almost 50 years. jesse: the crowd ati that up.
11:11 pm
now the democrats are going after sleepy joe because he had some nice things to stay about segregationist colleagues from many, many years ago it looks like he can be in trouble. >> i think so. they have given him a free pass. the only thing he accomplished is he was barack obama's vp. look at his finishing statement the other night it was a rambling three paragraphs of hmm and uh. he does a rebuttal trying to attack trump. he literally had to read it. he's flip-flopped on every policy issue major to his party within the last two months. i don't know if he knows where he stands on these things. the amount of hypocrisy.
11:12 pm
i spoke in my speech, joe biden's son, hunter biden going to him to china. he's a journeyman investor. hunter biden comes back miraculously five days later with $1.5 billion from the chinese. i said to the audience. let's play role reversal. what do you think the media would say if donald trump, jr. took $1.5 dollars from china. but joe biden's son can take $1.5 billion. jess require was you then pence and then the president. have you ever considered running for office? >> my primary focus is getting
11:13 pm
my father elected. he's a far it, a patriot, an american. as someone lore has bent number two tarring it of the russia hoax and the collusion hoax they perpetrated on the mayor can people and are still running with. i want to make sure that never ever happens again to either side. this should be a bipartisan issue. sadly, it's not. if i do well with the base and have community bronx that's great. but i want to make sure we leave this country in a better place for our kids. my father is doing that. look at wall street and unemployment against every minority group in this country. he'll never get credit for that. look at the things he's doing that conventional republican things. prison reform. that's not a republican issue.
11:14 pm
it's just the right thing to do. that's why he's doing it. i don't think he cares or expects props. the american people see delight. they see through the disdate and media has for them. they love having someone who actually does what he says he's going to do. jesse: that was a dodge, don. you thought about it. there have been people pushing it. but i like the campaigning. who knows about the day job. maybe in time. my father got into politics -- what is he, 68? i'm 41. i have got plenty of time to figure it out. jesse: diamond and silk are fired up over reparations. and later, o.j. rears his head with videos.
11:15 pm
flashback to when i quizzed folks on the juice. what's going on up here? can't see what it is yet. what is that? that's a blazer? that's a chevy blazer? aww, this is dope. this thing is beautiful. i love the lights. oh man, it's got a mean face on it. it looks like a piece of candy. look at the interior. this is nice. this is my sexy mom car. i would feel like a cool dad. it's just really chic. i love this thing. it's gorgeous. i would pull up in this in a heartbeat. i want one of these. that is sharp. the all-new chevy blazer. speaks for itself. i don't know who they got to design this but give them a cookie and a star.

mno kidding.rd. but moving your internet and tv? that's easy. easy?! easy? easy. because now xfinity lets you transfer your service online in just about a minute with a few simple steps. really? really. that was easy. yup. plus, with two-hour appointment windows, it's all on your schedule. awesome. now all you have to do is move...that thing. [ sigh ] introducing an easier way to move with xfinity. it's just another way we're working to make your life simple, easy, awesome. go to xfinity.com/moving to get started. jesse: an historic hearing on capitol hill as congress listened to testimony for the
11:19 pm
first time in more than a decade on whether the u.s. government should pay slavery reparations. >> the state-sponsored policies fueled white supremacy and racism and have disadvantaged african-americans for generations. >> we cannot tell ourselves the truth about the past. >> this is a moral and political mistake. thank you. >> thank you, mr. hughes. >> chill, chill, chill. he was presumptive but he still has the right to speak. jesse: here with reaction is diamond and silk. i will admit that there is a privilege that goes along with being born white in america and i will also admit there is a huge privilege in being born in america.
11:20 pm
if we were going to pay reparations to slaves, that should have been done immediately after the civil war ended. 150 years later is not the right time. it's more racially divisive. there have been a multitude of government programs to rectify the seasons of slavery. a massive transfer of wealth. we can debate whether the government programs have worked. but to create a government agency that would then take the documents and these family trees for millions of black americans and issue payouts to them, think about how many lawyers would get involved and create an enormous racket. if you are black in america maybe you don't have time to go through your family tree and you can't procure all these documents going back to 1863. you hire a reparations lawyer.
11:21 pm
all these reparation lawyers pop up, they charge you 30%, 40% what you are supposed to get. these lawyers are going to prey on black americans. they will never get their payout. it will be a massive and colossal mess. and to be honest with you, the country already lost 600,000 americans fighting the civil war. this country went to war to end slavery. think about all the white americans' fathers in the north that died freeing the slaves. are they entitled to anything? i think it will make things worse not better. >> it will make things worse. these black leaders in congress are trying to exploit black people and exploit the pain of our ancestors. and they want to dissect history and cherry pick what they can
11:22 pm
use and can't use. but it was the black africans that sold black people into slavery. so they were the ones that started it. when we talk about reparations, we have ancestors that were slaves. so do my taxpayer dollars help pay into the reparations? are you going to make just white people pay for reparations? when i hear them say they want to start a committee or commission, all these black elitists want to do is rip after taxpayer dollars is what they are trying to do. i am not for reparations. we were all dealt the same hand when we got here. let's start on uniting us based on the fact tham that we are americans instead our race.
11:23 pm
>> it's all a scam, jesse just like the project. this is just another project to exploit black people. >> that's all it is. >> when they know darn well black people ain't going to be getting no money. >> we don't need the handouts. they don't get to buy my silence. we'll never let the democrat party forget they are the party of kkk and jim crow. and the party segregation. all of the atrocities destowed on black people, the democratic party have don't. even those black elitists have gone along with it. >> the ladies are concerned about the wealth gap. but when you have diamond and silk and sheila jackson concerned about our wealth as black women, about a peacely
11:24 pm
thousand some dollars as black women. i think it's a shame, i think they need to be called out. i think black people need to wake up and stop being used. jesse: we had a couple topics slated to go. but you were so fired up about the reparations i just let it go. you know what? when you have a commission in this country, that's just a dead end zone. nothing ever happens when there is a commission. i think the democrats are creating a commission to make it look like they are trying to do something but they are never going to do it. diamond and silk on the road. the chit-chat tour is going on across the country. ladies, thank you very much. still ahead. clash of the morning co-hosts. ed henry and pete hegseth finally settle their score on.

"watters' world." a professor says dodge ball is legalized bullying. she'll come in here and debate me next.' world."
11:26 pm
11:27 pm
11:28 pm
11:29 pm
>> remember, dodge ball is a
11:30 pm
sport of violence, exclusion and degradation. when you are picking players in gym class, remember to pick the bigger, stronger kids for your team, that way we can all gang up on the weaker ones, like winston here. jesse: dodge ball, the legendary schoolyard game that we all played at one name our life may be a thing of the past. researchers in canada stay the old-fashioned game is a tool of oppression and triggers bullying. joining me, one of the researchers who authored the study. why is dodge also bad? >> first of all, we are not the first to raise this topic. i don't know if your viewers are
11:31 pm
aware, but your national physical education association in the u.s. has been into the whole shame in 1992. it's been banned by many u.s. school districts. about seven of them. it's an elimination game. we don't recommend those in the p.e. curriculum. jesse: what's wrong with elimination games. >> it's systematically eliminates players. jesse: the same thing as ring around the rosie? >> exactly. jesse: are you against ring around the rosie, too. >> that, i believe and dump dump guys also in the hall of shame. jesse: you are against dumb dump goose and ring around the rosie. >> games that systematically eliminate players.
11:32 pm
we have many wonderful team sports. we encourage people to play together. jesse: doesn't baseball systematically eliminate people. you go up to the plate and you strike out. >> a similar thing. what we are finding, a lot of people who are contacted as a result of the media we had are saying that they had a really bad time with it in schools. not everybody. jesse: kid have a hard time with things in schools. sometimes it's lunch, sometimes it's math, sometimes it's dodge ball. just because a kid has a hard time with something doesn't mean we should eliminate it. kids learn through resilience. it's you a physical education activity. you are learning to play, you
11:33 pm
are learning your limitations, your strengths. if you are saying -- if you are some fat slow kid you are not getting targeted all the time. you can catch the ball and the other guy that throws it has to go to jail, isn't that correct. >> check out our p.e. programs here at ubc and simon frasier. we are not against risky play and challenge. we understand kids bump into each other. i have been in the e.r. several times through basketball injuries. it's not about risky plays or challenge. we support all team sports. it what's we do. but dodge ball is the only game that uses the human body as a target. the only game that does this. the students and adults both are reporting it's a vehicle for bullying. in a climate where we have a
11:34 pm
problem with obesity and bullying in schools, we don't recommend it in the curriculum. if grown-ups and kids want to play it, extracurricular activities. jesse: we agree to disagree. i love dodge ball. i had a great time playing it. i turned out all right. i know people who were targeted a lot in dodge ball. they make much more money than i do now. they had very happy and successful careers. maybe that was a motivating factor for them. you never know. professor, i have to run, thank you very much. >> thank you. jesse: a former flight attendant tells us the crazivest, most of inappropriate and disgusting things that happen on airlines. a. jesse: crazy scene on board a bulgarian plane after severe turbulence tossed the flight attendant on to the ceiling of the plane. watch this. incredibly the flight attendant was not hurt at all. tough cookie. believe it or not, turbulence is not the biggest threat to flight attendants it's passengers. a former flight crew manager joirns me now. what are some of the most of inappropriate things passengers subjected you to on a flight? >> the usual sort of tapping on the behind to get my attention.
11:40 pm
that's inappropriate. i wouldn't tap anybody on the behind. things like that. i have had caught passengers try to sneak into the bathroom. jesse: the mile high club. >> oh, yeah. jesse: if you catch someone trying to join the mile high club? do you stop them? how do you deal with it. >> depends on if i like them. if they are nice people and they are kind of discreet. i think you kids have fun. jesse: you worked for virgin airlines. i guess there are different rules. sometimes you have severely intoxicated people, popping pills, drinking wine. what are some of the worst things you have seen on that level? >> i think it worst time for me
11:41 pm
was a guy who had taken sleeping tablets and snuck on his own alcohol and had drunk a bought of wine himself. but the two together can create a reaction where you don't know where you are doing. so this guy he went around and stole all other passengers' shoes and was trying them on. he didn't recognize his wife. then he thought he wanted to get off so he tried to open the aircraft door which meant we had to jump on him and restrain him. jesse: did you have to put handcuffs on him? >> we were going to. you can't open the door midnight. jesse: that's a big no-no. >> we pinned him down and then he passed out. so then he became a medical situation. jesse: what happens when someone
11:42 pm
gets physically addressive. we have seen people throwing punches. >> the protocol toys try to calm the situation down which we'll always try and do. we have training to go through situations where you try to diffuse the situation. jesse: has someone tried to throw a punch at you or of any our colleagues? >> not me personally. but one of my friends from a celebrity. jesse: was it charlie sheen? >> no, female. jesse: was it greg gutfeld. jesse: you are not going to tell me how it was. >> no, i am not. jesse: it sounds like survival of the fittest up there. i congratulate you for dealing with people so politely. i bet -- did you ever lose your temper? >> once when a passenger swore
11:43 pm
at me and said it was my fault that the plane was delayed because i had been doing cpr on a guy. jesse: thanks for not snapping at everybody and thanks for your liberal mile high club policy. thank you very much. >> thank you. jesse: pete hegseth and ed henry battle each other on the weekends. we'll explore their very, very competitive and complicated relationship you have next. moving is hard.

11:49 pm
the producers think this is a great event you guys did. are you wearing a hat? >> a fidora. i was able to hold this. this is a "fox and friends" -- it looks great on tv. it's probably worth $7.99. jesse: you have given the producer your unofficial tallies. ed thinks he's ahead 6-4, pete thing he's ahead 6-5. >> the rules are never well-defined. there are accusations of cheating. there is never a clear winner. sometimes we go to twitter for the winner. >> people don't understand, this is a four hour show each day sat dane sunday.

say they are journalists and they hate the president. >> i think one of the shows on camera -- he's a good guy. he likes to bring people in. he's the pair everywhere he goes. he brings people in. >> he brings both side of issues and exploring the issues. >> he left me these golf balls recently that said a gift for my ed. once again, i did not buy these. he got these for free. but we get along fine. jesse: we got to go. i will see you guys later.
