vice president biden, being part of the previous administration he has will have to look back and explain his record, continue to look back. it will be difficult for him to look forward. that is his vulnerability for vice president biden on the debate stage; particularly, with some of the younger candidates who are making the case for the future. that is a vulnerability for vice president biden. i think in addition to just being a terrible candidate, personally. >> tucker: yeah. you get, you know, you run out of energy. at 50, i feel too old to run for president. >> i'm 34 and i couldn't run for president.t. t and i mess up words all the tim time. i'm also not running to be commander-in-chief so there is a higher standard. s >> tucker: great to see you. thank you. >> thank you, tucker. >> tucker: dana perino joins us and we love to have her on and she joins us again for the second time in a row.ov this is where i talk about how smart i am. no, that's not true. i am rarely right in my predictions, but i did call joe biden. it was obvious to me that the

democratic party could never nominate elderly white man as the nominee. i mean, how could you do that? do you think biden is over after last night? >> i think that he has lost a little momentum. let me step back and tell you i think it's too early to say that. because there are nine debates and 31 weeks to go before the first votes are cast in iowa. we have a long way to go. the other thing i thought was interesting reading about polling, a live poll that was taken in iowa with undecided democrats. and they had a group of african-americans. a group of non-educated, and college educated, married, all these different groups. those people are not on twitter. they are just watching and telling you they are dialing it up or dialing it down and whether they like or don't like it. what is interesting to me when kamala harris tore in to joe biden, the numbers for kamala harris went way up. but then when biden responded his numbers went way up too, with african-americans.
9:11 pm
it's too early to say, i think, what will ultimately happen to him. i do think that somebody like michelle goldberg at the "new york times," she very much wants a democrat to win. believe me, she does. but she always felt that biden won't be there for them at the end.s because he won't be able to have the new energy. i remember president bush talking about elections. and that especially the democrats, they like to look forward. they like new. and what biden did today when he tried to clean up his debate, he went right back to looking at obama. and biden -- and hanging on to that. not looking forward. so that probably will hurt him in the long run. >> tucker: but i would say -- i agree with everything you said. but kamala harris also looked back almost 50 years at school busing, forced busing which is remarkable to me considering there has never been any support among black families, nor among white families for forced busing. it didn't serve anybody. nobody liked it.
9:12 pm
have you ever seen a poll that showed majority support for forced busing among african-americans? we'll take your kid and bringl them across town to go to kid with white kids and you should feel grateful for that. there is no poll that shows that, is there? >> no, there is not. i don't really talk about this too much, though i did write about it in my book. denver, colorado, is one of the first cities in the country to try to integrate the schools through busing. that is where i lived. from kindergarten to third grade, i walked three blocks to school. but when i went to the fourth grade, i had to be bused. i took an hour to get to the school. i was one of only five white children there. nobody was prepared to handle the dynamics. all that happened. it was a tough two years. the way it has handled didn't serve me well. the way it was handled, didn't serve me well.

by watching this along with us. we've got to talk about those weapons purchase they were just talking about, it sounded like the president sort of defending this weapons purchase that has kind of been a source of tension. talk about what he just said. >> actually, it has been peer to the president just acknowledging there that he is making progress with china, that these trade negotiations that have been ongoing with the united states and china, massive trade fight, tariffs are supposed to increase about $300 billion in chinese goods in just a few weeks, so the president is saying he is making progress. we don't have any details, plenty of business groups would like to see the u.s. avoid that escalation when it comes to the trade fight. when you're talking about this missile program and turkey, this is a fight that has been ongoing for a couple of years now between the u.s. and turkey. turkey wanted to buy a missile defense system, there was a disagreement between the united states and turkey when it came to buying the patriot missile program.
9:21 pm
an american missile program. turkey wanted to produce some of them and turkey. when the u.s. and turkey couldn't reach an agreement over that program, turkey turned to russia, purchasing the as/400. the president said earlier today that turkey is on track to purchase that program, they expect delivery by the next few weeks of that missile program, but the problem is that turkey is a nato country, and a russian missile defense system, according to defense officials within nato, say that is not compatible. the united states, members in congress and the pentagon have threatened a number of different things if turkey takes a delivery of this system. at the first would be that the u.s. could impose sanctions on turkey for purchasing this weapons system from russia. the second is that the united states has threatened to stop turkey's participation in the f-35 fighter program. turkey has purchased those plans from the united states and the
9:22 pm
u.s. would then essentially say to turkey, we are not going to train your fighters, we are not going to help keep you up-to-date on this program. it's been a massive fight between the u.s. and turkey and that is supposed to be a topic of conversation between the two presidents, which is just starting now. >> we heard a reporter asked the president about the murder of journalist and jamal khashoggi. he didn't answer that question. do you suppose that is a question that the president of turkey will bring up? >> it is a big difference between the united states and turkey, at least in the ways that both governments have discussed at the killing of jamal khashoggi. remember, he is a saudi citizen and was killed in the saudi consulate in turkey. the turkish government has been very critical of the saudi government for this, accusing them, rightly so, of essentially committing murder within the borders of their country inside the saudi consulate.
9:23 pm
the trump administration, while it has criticized the saudi government for the murder of jamal khashoggi, has stressed that it is waiting on the investigation for more details. it has revoked the visas of a couple of dozens of saudis into the u.s., says it's responsible for all of this but has fallen short of really criticizing the president, saying that they are still waiting for more information to come out of that investigation. there is certainly some difference here on the response towards saudi arabia between the united states and turkey when it comes to the killing of jamal khashoggi. >> yeah, we saw that earlier where the president was all smiles with the crown prince of saudi arabia, so that will be an interesting conversation. of course, this meeting is highly anticipated because it could go well and it could also go bad. of course, iran, especially
9:24 pm
iranian oil. that is going to be a tough subject to negotiate. >> it was another point of contention between the two countries. turkey was purchasing iranian oil. once the united states decided to sanction oil purchases from iran, it gave turkey a few months along with a few other countries, a waiver. it let them continue to purchase iranian oil. a month and a half ago, that all stopped. the united states ended all waivers from countries that were purchasing iranian oil. turkey is one of them. turkey requested an additional waiver, they wanted to continue buying iranian oil, and the united states said no to turkey, china, japan, and other countries as well. the issue, of course, is that turkey not only has that oil relationship with iran but is also neighbors with iran. it has a much better relationship with the iranian government to certainly the united states does. so that is also a bit of a contentious point between the two countries, how they view
9:25 pm
iran. the united states is trying to create this coalition and get countries around the world to contribute to its maximum pressure campaign, to try to isolate the iranian government, isolate its economy and try to bring iran's leaders to the negotiating table. it thus far, iran's leaders have said no way, we are not coming to the negotiating table when you're trying to basically threaten us to come to talks. >> it sounds like from what we just saw, the little sneak peak of their meeting, there was a question asked about a possible state visit to turkey. could that likely happen this year? >> it's a good question. in fact, president erdogan said earlier today according to a report that there is a visit in the works for the president to come to turkey sometime this month, but it is a pretty aggressive timeline because next month is just a couple of days from now, the president refused to say specifically when he would consider going to
9:26 pm
turkey, whether that have been agreed to, what the timeline looks like. we haven't gotten any word from the white house thus far as to when there could be a visit to turkey or if the president makes it a single visit there or tries to visit other countries in the region, but it appears as though, given what the turkish president erdogan said this morning and the president's response to all of this, that they are very much considering and discussing a presidential visit to turkey. >> we have about 2 minutes left, if you could, right before this meeting, the president met with china's president, president xi, and he mentioned that meeting went really well. have you heard anything on the ground about that meeting just yet? speak of the most we've heard is from what the president just said there, he went into his meeting with xi jinping, left it, so these developments are happening pretty quickly here. you've got world leaders at this summit and our meeting and pretty rapid succession with one
9:27 pm
another to try to get this business done. the president says he had a better-than-expected meeting with the chinese president. of course, the backdrop on all of this is that the u.s. and china are in the middle of this massive trade fight. the u.s. already has tariffs on $250 billion worth of chinese imports into the united states, and is on track to essentially sanction and put tariffs on the rest of china's imports into the united states. any type of truce or stalling that or a second move to negotiations is something that many of us have been looking for at this summit, deceive the united states and china would agree to at least a pause or a truce to this. early indication that these talks went better, given what the president just said they are. also before the president met with the chinese president, he sent a tweet that was directed at kim jong un. after this, the president is going to seoul, south korea. he says essentially, while i'm in the neighborhood, i would love to meet with kim jong un at

the demilitarized zone. it would be a historic moment, something for the cameras to see, the president of the united states going to the dmz and doing the same dance he did with the south korean president last year. the president floating that while he is in the neighborhood. unclear if that is in the works or if that is actually going to happen, but the president on twitter for the world to see inviting the dictator of north korea to come on down to the dmz and shake hands and check in while he is in the neighborhood. speak at the president always making headlines, making news. more headlines to come from this press conference, we will see you in a few hours and touch base with you then. thank you for all your insight. that is the latest from osaka, japan. still ahead tonight, president trump's live press conference, which we will have for you right here on fox news channel, but for right now, we are going to bring you the very latest on this g20 summit in all the happenings

story number three, aoc, and one of the more bizarre moves i've ever seen, is joining the protest against beds for migrant children. listen, tucker, regardless of your position on immigration, no one wants to see kids sleeping on the floor. so the government did what? they went out and tried to fix an obvious problem,ey right? went out and bought beds for children. not controversial. well, apparently not for aoc, who celebrated the wayfair protest by some of the employees, not the company in general, about selling beds to the government to put kids in beds. this is a head-scratcher. i really don't get it. even for liberals, it seems like a very bizarre new low. but you know, whatever. i'm done trying to explain liberals. >> tucker: totally bizarre. >> very bizarre.e. all right, story number two. >> tucker: that is probably smart. >> democrats are now all in on what i think you and me and many other people have known for a long time. big swath of the party, they are all in on open borders. listen, they have been trying to evaporate the border for a long time.
