"hannity" is next. >> dan: thanks a lot, i am dan bongino in tonight for sean. independence day is right around the corner. and this year president trump is planning to honor america with a very special fourth of july celebration in washington, d.c. complete with military aircraft flyovers, historic tanks from one of the biggest firework shows in history. but not everyone is excited. per usual, the mainstream media is trying to rain on the parade. literally. checkli this out. >> it is just obscene, it really is. and i just hope that it does not spoil the whole day. >> you see that this is really problematic to the d.c. city council for several reasons. >> as a native washingtonian, i find this to be offensive.

because i'm often worried about what eisenhower said about the industrial complex, and i talked to several veterans today, and to the gulf war parade, and i turned it around. ai understand what the president is trying to do. he is trying to celebrate patriotism. he is trying to celebrate the freedom that the military has rapresented and represented for thee united states. i have to confess honestly. when i first heard about it i was less happy about it. but once again, the president has way better instincts than i do about the american people. >> dan: has very good instincts. he always has. geraldo, i will go to you on this. is this the dumbest business move in modern american history by nike? are they just rolling all of us? when i make an out of this? this is a ground ball, the american flag, not some partisan symbol, what is going on? >> you know, in terms of nike, i would love to talk about the parade also, the whole world loves the parade. they only hated because

president so much that they are willing to just put a negative spin on anything. how many times have you seen a flyover and an athletic event? everybody loves them except for when president trump is the one proposing them. >> dan: you get goose bumps with the flyovers pray to speak of the super bowl. >> dan: i remember apr secret service agent being at the world series when george w. bush throughout the first pitch. there were no democrats and republicans, it was only americans. >> that is the thing, the polarity that geraldo is talking about, you have a really bad corporate strategy on nike. they do so much more trying to bring everybody -- >> dan: i hate to play devil's advocate, but it is fair, someg of the response i have heard from liberals is nike stock is up and the sails have gonee up. >> you did not ask me as a capital manager. capital manager when the stock .fell off, i looked at it and said they are making the right bed, they will sell more sneakers if they do this.
10:06 pm
here's the problem, you have to be long-term greedy in a society in a culture, because the pendulum will swing again, dan. there will be way better off being more inclusive than just focusing on the short term of the strategy. >> dan: i agree with anthony 100%. this was a dumb long-term move. i love a this country. i bleed red, white, and blue and always have. it is a long term really silly play, but the constant reflection by the left on the negatives of america. focusing on our original sin rather than the blood we have left on world soil, free nations pray to cemeteries have with the greatest generation left there. every country is some fourth of original sin, many countries were born out of some violence or aggression, but the united states has done such wonderful things, what is with this constant harping with the left on the negative all theed hatime? how is this a winner? >> part of the problem, dan, and anthony is that we do not have unifying moments anymore.

look right now what is happening.yien our women's soccer team is in the world cup, they are going to the finals for the third year in a row. under ordinary circumstances we would be right on, we would be watching in theta bars and high-fiving them back slapping each other, but because someone asked megan rapinoe, the cocaptain of the team whether she would visit the white house if they won the world cup, sheem said no, because she opposes his policy, so the performance of our national team in the world cup, something we should all be ldextolling, the virtue and our kids should be watching and wanting to play like they play, instead it is do you like trump, you don't like trump, you visit the white house, you don't visit the white house, it is melancholy and sad, i am objectively speaking that the country is doing great. the economy has expanded for 21 straight months.s. minority unemployment is g at historic lows. the wealth gap for the first time in many years appears to be lessening.

10:12 pm
that is misrepresenting herself and misrepresenting what she saw at the border patrol in texas, i was on the phone all day today as well, talking about the claims that she made, they are absolutely false. they say because mainly they have video cameras inside all of these facilities, so if people were forced to drink out of toilets or if agents missed treated the people that were o being held, then they would see that on the tapes. and they have seen no such thing. so right there, she needs to come clean and talk about -- like she did when she said they were not getting shampoo and toiletries. she eventually had to come clean and had to admit, yes, that then not to admit, yes, the border patrol agents, the department of homeland security is providing those products and those toiletries to the people were crossing the border. it is absolutely insane. >> i have decent sources and deborder patrol, i'm sure your b you do as well.
10:13 pm
i've heard the story about forcing a woman to drink from a toilet, which if true, someone should have been prosecuted, is absolutely categorical nonsense, that it's false. if making it up. i don't know if she miss her something or she's making it up, but my question to you is the accolades have told us for months, have been, that there's no crisis. everybody look the other way. i thought it wasn't a crisis. now it's a crisis a crisis all of ath sudden. >> the narrative they've been living on is a manufactured crisis. it is absolutely crumbled. if you look at polling today, there's a majority of all people and all parties and persuasions that say there's a crisis on the border. the cohorts that come in and say these are concentration camps, those are accurate either.
10:14 pm
they believe in this kind of method -- you keep telling lies about the stuff, keep making it up. to facilitate their narrative because they don't want trump to get a political victory there for open borders and that's really what's happening here. it's astounding to me, like sarah i was on the phone with my contacts today and they are like this is crazy. it didn't happen, and you saw that from a group of pastors that where in there at the same time. where she coming from? >> what's fascinating about this case. they always start the story in lwthe middle. these facilities are overcrowded in the conditions of the park deplorable, which we should look into. then you ask the obvious question, misshe ocasio-cortez,e haven't done anything about flora's. there's no is wall. very little being done before donald trump and central america to stop the flow.
10:15 pm
you were down there, you saw the report. if we stay on the floor we couldn't have an overcrowding problem. >> that's absolutely true and i want to>> say one thing and i spent a lot of time of the border. for many, many years i've been traveling to the u.s.-mexico borderg as well, not just central america. really working and watching what was happening with agents on the ground and a lot of the immigrants that were trying to come across. and you know what ig can say, dan, what i saw over and over again? agents that put anyone on the line. people that were actually coming across the border who sometimes were ill, first hospital they saw a border patrol agent delivering them to safety or trying to help their child, and i think this is what is not coming across to the american public. >> congressman, i saw a picture today that's very touching. border patrol agent in the water, throwing himself into the river to save a young migrant child who was clearly in distress in the water. you're up in congress.
10:16 pm
i'm sure you're familiar with a few bad apples up there too. these are heroic men and women. they put themselves on the line. they are not getting rich. living life as a police officer, i'm sorry. it's really a shame they've used him as a ping-pongng ball here. >> absolutely right. sarah is right and you are righ right. 70,000 monthly agents personnel and border patrol and you might have a couple of dozens the vast majority are giving their best effort to get this done. don't forget, never forget this, but the people that are complaining, making up -- looks like they are fabricated. it just doesn't make sense. want to illuminate all of ice, eliminate border patrol. they don't want internal enforcement of our laws. they are politically biased all the way.
