rob: scary moments when a 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocks southern california. it was hit by the largest quake in 20 years. carley: aishah hasnie has reaction, everyone has turned their attention to the aftershocks. >> reporter: having overnight into this hour, there was an aftershock an hour ago and more than 100 have been reported across california. seismologists are warning there is a high chance there might be a magnitude 5 or bigger earthquake in the next few days. >> we should be prepared for the big one. this does not make it less likely. there is a one in 20 chance that

this location will be having an even bigger earthquake in the next few days. >> thursday's 6.4 magnitude quake is the strongest quake to hit california in 20 years. it happened 150 miles from la. this surveillance video shows bottles and food thrown from shelves in a convenience store. look at this video showing panic crowds running when they feel the quake happened. the earthquake caused multiple injuries, house fires, gas leaks, even cracked roads. >> i could see the ground shaking and it is really happening. it was intense. >> a rolling earthquake, 30 seconds long. >> reporter: california governor gavin newsom approved an emergency proclamation for the earthquake in kern county and the aftershocks, grateful for the work of our first

thank you for being with us. they say his economy dump her -- only benefits the rich. income growth has gone up so much more under trump's economy than obama's insecticide construction, retail and mining and really key swing states like florida, ohio and wisconsin. what say you to that? >> the economic boom accelerated very quickly during the administration, tax cuts, a lot of people said it was sugar high but it is not a sugar high. individuals saying again and the rest of the economy is booming and the thing that holds back business from making investments is too much regulation and tax incentives, that is what happens.

todd: so many places one can play politics with to play politics with an economy where you talk to rich people and poor people everybody seems to be doing much better than they were eight years ago. on place for the democrats to take their chances. >> the economy is such a winning story the only thing they can do with attack that story and give the obama administration credit for it but the fact of the matter is you've got to look at the numbers. the president talked about the stock market a lot of the stock market is a bit of a proxy for the economy. what goes up can go down. if you look at the underlying fundamentals of the economy they are very strong. carley: almost all the candidates said one of the first and they would do in terms of the economy is rollback trump's tax cuts. if they do that what will happen? >> there are two versions, the

corporate rate down tremendously and the individual rates. they keep talking about those benefits going to the rich. that is fake news. 80% of americans got the benefit of the tax cut. to take them away you are penalizing 80% of americans. i don't think that is a winning strategy. the question is are they talking about corporate tax cuts? >> probably corporate. >> take away the tax incentives for businesses, what they won't do is create jobs. todd: a big jobs number today. the scuttlebutt on the street is that will lead to the feds dropping the rate a quarter percentage point. do you think they will drop it? is it a good decision to do so? >> everyone is betting on the drop. i don't think the job number will be influencing that. buried in that jobs number is another important piece, the wage curve rate is twice the inflation rate.

if you want a positive story the fact is people are making more money and making twice as much money. todd: why drop the rate when we had a record high? >> the concern is how do we keep a 10 year economic boom going? do you stimulate that to get it to continue? there are arguments on both sides. quarter points don't make that big a difference but it is symbolic that the fed wants to keep the boom going. todd: 27 after the are, deadline day for demos. will a close immigration loopholes like the president asked? what is somebody doing in my ear? or watch the follow through with ice raise. border state lawmaker ways in the growing crisis next.
