people are counted. it is really disgraceful. and it's not the founders what they had in mind. >> jesse: text like that not stopping. the trump administration from going forward. attorney general barr said doj has to work around to include the citizenship question. >> yes, we think considering all the options, and constant discussions with the president ever since the supreme court decision came down, and i think over the next day or two, you will see the approach we are taking. i think it does provide a pathway for getting the question on the census. >> jesse: okay, one williams, explained to me why democrats don't want the federal government to have an accurate read on who is in the country? >> juan: we do. i think democrats do very much. i think the constitution says very clearly and the enumeration clause, article 1 commit says clearly that it is an actual count of all the people.

out? space >> greg: throw up the granny. >> katie: hissed this is really about race maybe we should stop asking people about what their race is on the census which might be more racially prone than asking if a citizen or not. it doesn't have to do with race. so that is the first thing. the second thing, the supreme court when they came down with 5/4 decision they said it was legal for the justice of commerce department to ask the question but they just didn't like the justification for it which for conservatives, the supreme court said it was ridiculous. the legality of the situation. democrats don't want account, an accurate account of illegal immigrants because precisely what you said, juan. the census counts everybody in order to distribute power in washington, d.c. in nancy pelosi is objecting when she says it is trump that when certain voters and actually democrats don't want an accurate count because then it will display how many illegal immigrants are being counted for

democratic leadership and democratic positions in washington, d.c. because most of them live in blue places. but it's not about racism or about making sure people answer the census because they are scared. it is about giving a political power because the census allocates and they want as many people as they can get legal or not. >> juan: wait a second. let me quickly respond to katie. katie it's not about adding but about subtracting. if you count everyone. >> katie: you mean illegal immigrants wouldn't be counted in washington, d.c.? >> juan: in other words, that is what the 14th amendment calls for. >> katie: used to allocate in washington, d.c., when they are not citizens of the country. >> juan: that is your issue but i'm just saying -- and this is why three federal judges have ruled against it. >> katie: no one is saying they won't be counted. let's count them to see what kind of people around the country and doing it by race, citizenship and we are asking

has a feud with aoc and the others. and that was the a block which is clever from a communication standpoint, i know how to turn this around. i will say trump is a racist. that unites with her and she's able to talk about this. i do feel if bill barr had been the attorney general from the beginning, the commerce department would not have made this grew up and they would not be in the legal jam that they are young. he's doing his best to try to figure out way to do this. but they are late to it, and we do need to have a count. i also think it could turn out that there could be some republicans who were kind of worried that you might not count all people and distribute it that way. not because of power in washington but because of money that goes back to the state. if you are in a state that has a lot of people who are here illegally and if they aren't counted but those are people that use the roads, they are on public transit, florida, absolutely. this might not be so partisan when actually gold gets through the wash.

now the sensible democratic party is in hiding, terrified of the voices and unlikable mess of identities grammars that sympathizers who throw milk shakes for exercise. maybe these two johnsons will lead the way for others to stand up and shout stopping crazy. the bully -- if only people would listen. but right now the democrats are approaching cold status. one that rejects all mainstreaming shrinking in size as they alienate everyone who isn't woken up. for the new left, any deviation from resist makes you complicit and evil just been born to make a racist. but this strategy is for losers meaning if only four people by your tiny little definition or woke that means the remaining 340 million aren't. if you wish to condone -- condemn the unwelcome to say goodbye to all of them. you will be the world's smallest party one that no one wants to attend. you know, dana, if i were a team sport, i would have trashed the johnsons, right? i don't want the dems to list

[laughter] >> jesse: you never know. and something that i said two or three times already if you are a democrat running for president, you can't win the general with socialism and you can't win the primary without it. here is the conundrum, 60% of americans oppose giving health insurance to illegals. 60% oppose eliminating private health care. 60% oppose reparations and overwhelming majority oppose gun sanctuary cities. but the democratic primary left-wing voters support all that stuff. so there is a huge disconnect between mainstream consensus american thinking and democratic primary voters that puts them in a huge blind.

notice how they have tabled the traditional bread and butter, kitchen table issues, like jobs, wages, trade, manufacturing because the trump economy is so hot. and all of the mass of wage growth is taking place amongst the bottom half of wage earners, especially among blacks and hispanics. it is the bottom up recovery as opposed to the obama paiute for coverage mostly from the top. to dana's point, the democrats have not been able to recreate that obama coalition. hillary couldn't do it. they are trying to replicate it again. minorities, young women, millennials, they are just not going to be able to do it. so i just think trump scott this walked down to the max and barring an unforeseen, it is reelection in a landslide. >> greg: you are one of the people that talked about the need for a center lane and stuff like that. the problem is, the people who are supposed to be in the center or wiggling out of it. they should be like the johnson's and say, we want the

ex-presidents, billionaires so the fix was in. he would not serve any really hard time. it is sad because most people if they did what you did and they would be behind bars many, many years. >> dana: the other thing, juan apparently didn't share of the plea agreement with the victims which is a normal practice. that is another reason there is controversy. >> juan: the victims never got to speak. the way i think of it. you know, that is why, you know whom i don't want this to be interpreted in the way we argue, left, right but when the president doesn't say anything about the people who may have been victimized, you think -- >> dana: bill clinton in his statement didn't say anything either. >> juan: i think they need to understand the damage that was done. i appreciate your point that the young people, the young women hurt never got to have anything to say about what happened with acosta plea deal with epstein. but the point, the big point to be made here is that this is a guy as jesse said, a rich man

with great political connections and guess what? they were protecting, he was protected, i think to buy his rich, powerful friends and those rich, powerful friends according to many reports are now trembling that their names are going to come up in this new york case. >> dana: one of the big mysteries of all of this, greg, how did jeffrey epstein become a millionaire in the first place? he's been asked and nobody knows. >> greg: once it is interesting once you become a billionaire, you are a billionaire. but they don't say how did that happen? all the business journalist kind of miss the story. god knows what they were chasing at the time. obviously, climate change stories in here you have a guy who's got billions and billions of dollars and nobody knows where it came from. but think that this story is not being politicized. everybody has asked him to resign. we knew who he was yesterday right? >> dana: they brought it up several times and he's kind of had nine lives on the issue and

the tenth one though. >> greg: i have to hand it to donald trump. hillary clinton was in the white house, the story would be deeper than jimmy hoffa. the absence made this story possible the same way her absence made the harvey weinstein story possible because she was in the white house. that story would have been spiked like one of bill cosby's drink. >> katie: can you imagine the story with hillary clinton in the white house? the answer was, it would not have come out. but they are asking now for other victims who have been not part of the investigation. >> dana: they said like over 100. >> katie: they are encouraging him now because he's behind bars with federal charges, to come forward with more information. to seek justice for them and the other victims. the political side, there is more pressure, the tenth time essentially he's been able to get away with this. this will not go away overnight. this is not something a controversy today and that the white house can go forward with that won't go away because there

will be a trial. there will be evidence presented now that reporters will be in the court room, all of that will be and we have social media as well. back when the plea deal was struck early on in early 2,000. it will be proliferated everywhere. and acosta will be dragged down into that mess and the administration as well. and i don't think they want that to be part of their legacy. >> dana: i don't know, do we have time to play the other sound bite? james patterson is internationally known best novelist but he wrote a nonfiction book working with three investigators. on the daily briefing this is what he said about the issue whether alex acosta had the evidence at the time. >> in the book, we have the police and reviews of them when they were kids and what happened. and that is devastating. and the police had it all. >> but then you have to presume alex acosta and then the u.s. attorney, now the labor secretary had it too? >> the rumors, for sure, for sure they had the evidence.
