it's a disgrace. no other president should have to go through it. the vote was a totally lopsided vote with many democrats voting in favor. as far as i'm concerned, they already took their impeachment vote and the impeachment vote was so lopsided, it was a massive victory. you know what? at some point they have to stop playing games. they're just playing games. you know, i won't be watching mueller. >> [question inaudible]

of those vessels. >> i completely agree with you. what struck me about that is that he was very measured in his response. he said iran is nothing but trouble and has been trouble for a long time. he took another shot at president obama's deal with them. he said he was going to talk to the u.k. about the situation with the british tanker that has been seized by the iranians. seemed quite measured and i agree. not aggressive at all about a response. doesn't mean that won't happen but he was not sending a signal that we're anywhere close to escalating the situation there in response to what iran has done. >> trace: now on to the squad. it doesn't appear he's backing off. some say he will run against joe biden or kamala harris or elizabeth warren but the squad will be the face of the opposition. do you buy that? >> he can now. there's not a democratic nominee. ultimately in 2020 there will be and that will be the face of the party. but it doesn't hurt for him

politically -- i said this before we heard from the president to go after their policies and their statements doesn't hurt him at all. even though there's a big split inside the democratic party, the big story before the president's tweets last sunday was the split between aoc and nancy pelosi. it doesn't hurt for him to make the face of the party and to try to link the democrats together. where he gets into shakier territory is when he talks about sending them back to where they came from or they don't like the country, they should leave it. if he's on policy, he's on fine ground. a target rich environment to go after the squad but he has to be more measured. can i say real quickly? we have stephen miller, the white house senior policy adviser. one of the president's top people, speechwriter. we'll talk about the fight with

to isolate them politically and economically is working beyond expectations and the best thing i've seen in 39 years of any administration pushing against iran. and what is happening to the iranians, i have never seen them as inept as they are in some of the mistake that they continue to make before our eyes and trying to create a crisis environment so pressure will be put on the trump administration to back off the sanctions. one thing after another they have tried nothing. they haven't increased any of the pressure on the trump administration. they have a long playbook to go yet and they're going to continue with provocations to be sure. but in reference to what you said, this administration is very much aware that what they're doing is working. and that is not responding
