we will send you the extra money in the mail. this week was a big week, including on social media. if you remember, when you are watching the channel, on wednesday, mitch mcconnell's campaign account was blocked because there was protests out his house because is he not calling a new special session for gun control legislation. here is part of the video. if you watched the actual video which i did again this morning. there are physical threats against mitch mcconnell. there is curse words all over the place. they are outside his house in the middle of the night and wake him up and somehow convince him or deter him -- convince him what they want him to do. twitter suspended his account, they did it until recently because it's a big win on this one, jedediah. dean: they suspended his account because he posted that. pete: retweeted the video of the threats against him. jedediah: they are saying it violates their policy. if you post a video and there are violent threats made that has to come down. the problem is people are looking at that and saying

it's not universally done. twitter has this way of kind of selectively managing it so that it seems like certain people are being targeted and others are not. team michigan came out with a tweet victory. thank you everyone for helping #flee michigan. #free mitch. big -- the ramsey clark, the national public accept toler committee, a lot of people that buy -- that have a lot of money, the trump campaign, people that buy into twitter and say we are going to take out these ads, give money. if you are going to selectively target conservatives which is how many feel this came about and this happened, we are going to pull our money out. and the question is did that happen or was there a violation of the policy. that's what needs to be explored. pete: twitter put out a statement after a lot of pressure from the trump campaign, republican users and users on twitter this is amazing double standard considering all the violence tweeted elsewhere on the web. twitter folded and after multiple appeal from

affected users and leader mcconnell's team confirming their intent to highlight the threats for public discussion, we have reviewed the case more closely. the video with sensitive label and only where the tweet content does not otherwise violate the twitter rules. dean, what do you think? are you surprised that twitter in this instance finally folded? dean: no, i'm not surprised. i'm surprised it took them from wednesday until now to do it. it's insane. it was very clear what he was doing. if i was getting a threat and reposted i would suspect they wouldn't ban my account. it doesn't make any sense to me. they did the right thing but did it have n. a very slow fashion. pete: you wonder if the public pressure was not there they would have. go on twitter's website users can't share content against individuals or group of people regardless of context. to me, context is everything in life. so if you are not willing to include or understand context, then you are immediatelily banning

things. this is not some bot found and banded: dean: is he a known person? jedediah: to be clear there was violence being threatened against him. so if the question is there policy they need to apply it across the board that way so people can't wake up and say how come mitch mcconnell's campaign tweet gets pulled down but you see violence shown in this account and that account and it's left to stand? you don't want -- twitter has to be really careful. we have some sound from peter thiel, billionaire investor and he talked whether the g.o.p. should be suspicious of tech companies. that's the key here. take a listen. >> you always have the question with r. these things sort of innocent accidents or are they sort of intentional acts of political sabotage? and the republicans, i think, are right to be somewhat suspicious because this stuff keeps happening. and silicon valley is

something of a one-party state. it would be one thing if everything in silicon valley was anti-trump. i don't think thi think the majority are but most people who are republican and conservative are uncomfortable saying that. that's the real problem. it's the sort of political correctness where you can't speak out. pete: silicon valley a bit of a one-party state. dean: a bit. pete: understatement of the day. somebody pointed out on the show as well yesterday hamas has a twitter account and actively tweets. dean: doesn't the foreign minister from iran but nobody from iran can. it's a bit of a double standard. jedediah: there have been accusations against facebook and twitter. you don't want to have that impression out there. conservatives will eventually i'm surprised it hasn't happened already will start to flee these websites and take their money with them. them.dean. pete: once they have the alternative. there are a couple options

out there parlor and a few that are trying to do it. it would take the president of the united states to say i'm off twitter and going somewhere else. dean: that would change things. pete: it may come to that depending on how they treat him. speaking of treatment of the president of the united states about 40 miles -- how far is the hamptons from here? pete: i don't know either. 40 or 50 miles, steve roth wealthy guy in new york city and owns soulcycle and equinox held a fundraiser for president trump. people took to twitter to protest the fact how in the world -- he is also the owner of the miami dolphins host a fundraiser for donald trump. there was outrage about should we boycotting these places? turns out it was a pretty successful fundraiser. jedediah: they raised $12 million. original target was 10 million. they went two million over that target.

check out this tweet from ronna mcdonnell thanks to the mob on the left raised $2 million more than expected. the support for our president is unprecedented and growing. dean, i'm curious to get your take on what do you think of people's reaction now especially on twitter and on social media. when there is someone that you disagree with, you know, hosting a fundraiser. people can come completely unhinged. they cannot handle that there is someone with a differing opinion against someone you disagree with what's going on? dean: it's serious madness. you are supposed to have disagreements and be able to speak about things civilly. i think because we are in the infancy of social media in that sense. i mean, 30 years from now it will seem like this is a small period of time. everyone is sort of overreacting right now. and, you know, the fire brand is obviously the president. if you support him and his administration, then they are going to try and skewer you because they think it's

okay. pete: i don't know the politics of chipotle and i don't want to know. i don't care. they make great food i want to put in my mouth. that's it. if he hosts a fundraiser or elizabeth warren, he or she? i don't care. we have gotten to the point with president trump it's completely unhinged. you may know this gentleman, maybe you do, maybe you don't. he is a hollywood guy. turns out the owner of marvel also is a big supporter of president trump. the guy has given over $600,000 to the president. army hammer is on twitter. he said this. while everyone seems to be on equinox thing boycotting it might be good to mexico that one of trump's largest financial contributors is the chairman of marvel entertainment, isaac perlmutter, just sayen.

my concern is that voters want to hear what democrats will bring to the table that's positive. what do you have to say about jobs? what do you have to say about heck? and if they are always focused on attacking president trump, isn't that to their detriment? >> i think that's where they find themselves having united front. that's their biggest issue to say what do we need to do to get trump out of office? what has happened is that has become the focus and forced other people to ask questions like vice president joe biden what are you going to do and how are you going to handle issues? the more he keeps deflecting to trump, it does take away from democrats and what they have to offer. i think as we move forward and a lot of these candidates drop off they will be forced at one point in time to compete in what is called a primary. we will have an opportunity to hear more. i think they have done a little bit of both. yes, the focus has been on trump because that's who they believe is their greatest threat. jedediah: what do you make of the stage right now there are so many candidates and reports are that tired. ap headline too many

candidates, tired of the massive 2020 field as i just said. are there too many candidates? does it make it hard for people to focus? i remember last time around when it came to the republicans there were just too many on the stage. and you were kind of hoping for that stage to turn from two stages, two separate debate nights, get it down to one and get it down to the cream of the crop here so we can focus. are democrat voters feeling that way as well? >> not me personally. i'm tired of people being tired. no one says we are going to pick the patriots to be the super bowl champions next year. must game must be won at every level. every candidate vetted. people can't sit through 10 more debates to focus on ghem casey crazy. that's shameful itself. this is one of the reasons why i supported senator sanders in 2016 we didn't have a lot of candidates. a lot of the candidates don't have a chance to win. it's important that cory booker talk about criminal justice and other candidates who may not win but important to be heard. without having a diverse

mentioned before we were talking before, baltimore itself shut down all the boys and girls clubs. >> all of them. did you go there i just got back from baltimore. i just got back from maryland. helping these kids in the city and you ask the community why they are hurting right now. that's because they have shut down all the police athletic leagues. the polickids don't have anywheo go after school. 77% of black kids in this country born without a father in the home. you have all these deep, deep issues that are affecting these kids. we have got to help them. i'm talking about democrats and republicans. we have got to start getting into these communities. we have got to focus on our poor black kids. black people are the poorest, sickest and most uneducated people in our country. we need to start giving them the attention that they deserve. we can't keep making this racism and political divide. it's about the poorest and sickest. that happens to be black. it is not just the immigrants on the border that are coming into the country illegally. let's focus on where the civil rights issue started

and that was with black americans. we brought all these other issues in but we have left out the people that need it the most. pete: you are talking about america first. >> america first. pete: get back to the cop dousing with water issue, the speaker of the house said this in the "new york post." has a house in new york. police officers should be respected but i don't know if always proposing new penalties and laws is the answer. we should continue and try to establish more of a community and police response. i think that's more beneficial instead of always saying we are going to lock people up. so, can you do both, have consequences for an action like that but also engage? >> of course you can. listen, we had a criminal justice issue started by the democrats, the party of slavery, the party of jim crow, the party of mass incarceration of blacks, this guy is a democrat, and now he is saying this to allow these kids to do what they want and not instill any discipline in them. that's just not right. if someone pours anything on a police officer they should

go to jail. i'm not here saying all police officers are right. there are a lot of police officers that need to get their situations fixed and need to be reprimanded. but, in a situation where a cop is walking down a street and you are dousing them with water, man, not where i'm from. i'm from texas and we just don't get down like that. [laughter] dean: i respect that. quick question for you as a ball player, you know, we are both ball players. colin kaepernick says is he ready to get back in the game. he said something on twitter 5:00 a.m., five days a week. 889 days without work. i have my opinions on it. i would love to hear your thoughts on where collin sits now three years out. >> pro bro, i want anybody who wants to be able to play a sport to lead. there is more than one league. go play in canada or some place else. the bottom line comes down to if you are a backup in the national football league, you can't bring off the field issues and have a bunch of clouds over you. they are not going to play you. they are not going to let you play. i was a guy that walked on. i was a free agent.

welcome. >> good morning. jedediah: what do you make of this latest update in the dulos case. >> i think it's a fishing expedition. it's harmful to society for people to weigh in mental health records searching and put it out in the world to say there may have been something on the victim's side in this situation. that to me is very disturbing that they are basically trying to go after a way to prepare a defense in this case. pete: lisa, what more do we know about the disappearance aspect of this. >> yeah, i mean, if the reports are true, what we are hear in the news is that there is basically some blood scenes, there is video surveillance. there is clearly enough that they have gotten the ability to indict the folks both mr. dulos and michelle to be at risk of going to court for the murder charges. we don't know whether or not that's going to happen or not. but certainly in this case what i would look at is the 2017 pleadings that jennifer

dulos made when she filed for divorce saying that she was in fear for her life and in the 2018 rule by the judge who was dealing with the custody hearing saying that the children were in immediate physical harm or potential danger. so, i definitely think that there is a lot of evidence that's mounting to say that this woman knew that there was something that was going to be coming and was trying to tell people ahead of time that she felt like she was in danger. jedediah: lisa, i want to get to this second case we are looking at today where an equestrian was allegedly shot by exolympian. we are fearing that equestions strand actually feared for her life in advance? >> it sounds like a crazy kind of story it. sounds like what you have are two equestrian people who are at the top of their field, one who had already retired and was training the other this younger

equestrian shot living on this property, a compound let's say and had her horses at that compound and that there had been escalating verbal conflicts that had required police response the week prior. pete: so you have got two olympian equestrians living, training working together. personal conflict. she said she feared for her life and here we are? >> yeah. this is yet another example of what we as a society and as our viewers are trying to figure out is when is it -- when should we know that we should be in fear? and i think in this case she has clearly posted on facebook look, i'm in fear. it's very complicated. i've got to be careful. so i think that there is probably a lot more that's going to unfold. you've got hundreds of thousands of dollars in horses living on this estate. it wasn't as if she could just pick up her bags and leave. so i think there is a lot more that we are going to hear in the future of what went on between the two. pete: that's a great point.

they have been targeted both individually and their businesses. g.o.p. lawmakers in the house are calling -- there are seven of them are calling on the house ethics committee to investigate congressman joaquin castro's decision to tweet out a list of trump donors and this as his brother, of course, is coming out to defend him because he is running for president. a lot of people feel like it's about time that someone stand up to. is that ethical inside the ethics of the house of representatives for one of your colleagues to be outing donors? here is a portion of the statement those republican lawmakers are putting out this is from representative andy bigs. it's clearly an attempt this tweet to intimidate or publicly shame to cause people to disassociate themselves from president trump and infringe on their free speech and free association rights. i believe that is inconsistent with his oath of office and reflects poorly on the house. jed, i don't know if this goes anywhere. they usually don't at least it's a statement. jed at least it's being talked about this idea of intimidating. we are in a society where people feel inclined to

i'm glad folks in iowa get a big say in this. jedediah: the question is do those candidates who aren't going to have a chance at winning do they make those candidates who do have a shot at winning better candidates? do they challenge them and keep them on their toes? i spoke with tezlyn figaro last hour and she had a lot to say about the size of the field and the impact. take a listen. >> personally i'm tired of people being tired. no one just says hey we are going to pick the patriots to be the super bowl champions next year every game must be won at every level. every candidate vetted and every issue should be heard. if people can't sit through 10 more debates to focus on democracy. that's shameful in itself. this is important. this is one of the reasons i supported senator sanders last time in 2016 because we didn't have enough candidates. a lot of these candidates don't have a chance to win. important to have other candidates up there who may not win but those policies are important to be heard. without having a diverse field we lose that. pete: you know, it's an interesting point. especially if you want a view that's not acceptable inside the mainstream and certainly you have seen that

there are cameras, could manage to accomplish the suicide. when you are on suicide watch in a jail cell under normal protocol they remove absolutely everything in the cell that could be used for hanging. it is always problematic about bedsheets they use, weaker sheets that will sustain the rate of an individual so not sure how he managed to accomplish this unless they violated their own protocol so it is curious. the criminal charges have vanished but there will be a myriad of civil lawsuits. there are already some against him. those will proceed against his estate and there are considerable assets but epstein as a potential witness against others, that has gone.

>> to that point would people be more afraid or less afraid to come out and come forward? does this make it easier for people who may have been afraid to go against him to now come out with more information? >> it cuts both ways. without somebody like epstein who might be in a position to corroborate, people might be reluctant. on the other has given his death they may feel free to talk. it cuts both ways on that issue. >> there were dozens of high profile names of people who were implicated in these child sex trafficking accusations and i am wondering now with the consequences could be for those people given that epstein is now dead. do you have any take on that? >> most of the celebrity or famous individuals that were most recently named in the last 48 hours vigorously denied the accusations.

epstein removed his key witness, that could corroborate the accusers accusations or could help vindicate those who have perhaps been falsely accused but epstein is a wealthy man who surrounded himself with a great many assistants, employees, even on his cell phone island. there would be flight records, pilots records as well. for a lot of that there is physical documentation. it will take a lengthy discovery in order to pull those documents out. >> part of the reason jeffrey epstein is such a high profile connection is his close connection to bill clinton. your reaction to that connection this morning in late of

epstein's death? >> former president clinton has denied any of the suggestions or accusations that have come his way, do not going to the island. this is your good old-fashioned case of witnesses versus witnesses. as i mentioned before, if there are flight records and documentation of that that would be relevant but bill clinton has denied that he had anything other than a cordial relationship with epstein. we will wait and see if other witnesses come. a lot of this would be documented. he does have a written new of security surrounding him. those people would be questioned as witnesses even in a civil lawsuit.

>> legally speaking the file against epstein, does that get sealed or can the evidence from that file be taken out and put in other cases and proceed in court? >> normally that would be up to a judge, the fact that the case can no longer go forward, case against him, it would be up to a judge to decide whether or not to seal that but i would imagine that anybody filing or who has already filed a civil lawsuit against him can seek access to those documents of the -- that would be evidence that would be crucial and vital. any civil lawsuits whether or not the district attorney would be willing to come forward with the feds with their information, we will have to wait and see.

>> one of the other aspects, the local florida angle, the palm beach sheriff looked at, wondered why epstein was even able to get work release. this questions of preferential treatment too. >> absolutely. there is already a re-examination going on of how exactly did a guy like this who engaged in in what are clearly heinous, reprehensible acts get what is perceived to be a sort of sweetheart deal and how is it he didn't have to check in as a sex offender in various venues? those are questions that need to be answered and vigorously investigated. if we are to have confidence in our system of justice and law enforcement, we have to know they are working diligently and following their own rules.

that is just another category in this melodrama that is so sad and tragic. >> this was a vast network of underage girls we are talking about from 2002 up to at least 2005. victims came forward after the arrest and i wonder on a day like today for those representing those victims who have sought justice how are they feeling upon hearing this news and how will they go about finding justice for those who suffered at the hands of this unfortunate tragedy for years? >> it is hard to know how they might feel about this. in many ways their opportunity to voice what happened to them has been robbed them, at least in the criminal justice venue.
