parole. they said this henry ford cut off his ankle bracelet in june and mailed it back to his corrections officer. "the detroit free press" reports he lied to the marshals and then lead them on a quick car chase before they stopped him and arrested him. henry ford was reportedly driving a dodge. a flock of birds running into a plane with hundreds of people on board. the pilots landed in a cornfield and everybody survived. we will show you that landing and talk to an aviation expert about what people are calling a little bit of a miracle. but first some nature for you on this thursday. folks in minnesota capture this video of a bald eagle. they thought at first it was injured, see here it kind of looks like it, right? that was not the case at all. it happened on st. croix river on the border of wisconsin they say that the bird, clearly it looks like the bird was hurting.

shep, sally had 3-4 times more altitude than this gentleman had. there were only reports of saying it was 750 feet above the ground so was awesome is that they did what pilots are supposed to do. they didn't screw anything up. they landed straight ahead, they didn't get distracted by checklists or air traffic control. they didn't fully around with the landing gear, they just went straight ahead into that cornfield and made a perfect landing. this was a great day for aviation. >> shepard: it can't be easy to land on the service that you don't know what's there. >> actually, i think this was a little easier than what sally had to. this been done before preinternet area there was error mind that landed on the levee outside of louisiana but i never got any publicity because it was about three years ago in a 737. this has happened before but like i said, they didn't panic, they didn't stall the airplane and that's what makes it so wonderful is that they actually did what they were supposed to
