they are feeling the pain of inflation. there inflation is pretty high. if they impose tariffs on us goods they will feel the pain greater. >> they will feel it greater. this is a strategic move. there is going to be a compromise and you never win 100% in negotiation. he knows what he is doing, this is his strategy. i think, china already blinked. the only thing that will concern me, china could retaliate, the second largest holder of us treasuries -- treasuries. >> farmers are hurting, they were paid a lot of tariff money and it is holding steady.

months. the deficits are awful. multi-trillion dollar proposals. the deficit fits them. >> this is something we can't afford, we didn't borrow that much money to fund these initiatives. as long as the economy is good donald trump will be reelected, that happens with good economies. they have to find a way to get to voters. socialism is not the answer. only 18% of the country believes in a socialist agenda. i looked up the numbers to make sure, 50% of the country believes in bigfoot. 80% do not by the socialist agenda, if they are the counterpart to donald trump i don't think either of these two

have a chance of being elected. >> of those numbers are true, i never doubt my friend john, what about the fact that both bernie and elizabeth warren poll higher than donald trump? >> market watchers are skeptical of the polls because we far poll numbers that were not accurate. the market looks at the spending like john said. it worries this economy won't be able to sustain it long-term. we discussed before that potentially what happened last time was a lot of people looking to two candidates that were so extreme and both felt they were bad choices so they took the lesser of two evils and that could happen here if you get a bernie or liz that gets the nomination. be careful how extreme they go and we discussed the exchange

8:18 am
elizabeth warren's green initiative is more than what hillary had on the table. and more importantly voters are mostly elderly homeowners, they don't want to pay higher taxes to make all student loan debt go away. that is why student loan debt is tax deductible at high incomes and home mortgages are because the voter likes home mortgages, doesn't care so much, students don't want this. 44 million people with student loan debt, if they voted you would win a general election, they don't vote and people that do vote don't have student loans and they don't like these handouts so it might help in this primary, not the general election. >> keeping your pull americans hate socialism even joe biden, the most moderate of all the candidates in the democrats run for the presidency, is now talking about a green plan, getting rid of all fossil fuel during his administration. by your calculation americans care or about an issue than they

do about a person that means trump is reelected, right? >> i think so, joe biden has a problem. the one thing in a room full of crazy -- joe biden is a moderate that has a chance against donald trump in the general election but i don't think he can get to the primaries, primaries on both sides, i don't think he can get by. it is more about donald trump then who is running against him. is about clinton more than who was running against her. people didn't turn out to vote. if you look at the demographics fewer people voted for her than president obama according to population growth. the same about donald trump. it is his to lose, his to win. it is based on the economy. of the economy is good it is a shoe in. >> that is the difference between this election. one of the people running has a track record and that is donald

trump and as long as that track record stays okay until the election looks better than the trillion dollar promises which are pie in the sky. >> he is in a tough spot because all eyes are on him and how he handles trade negotiations going forward. you saw the market volatility up and down and all over the place because these headlines come out, there needs to be a resolution to this trade situation for the markets to gain confidence and let go of that uncertainty and for it to keep moving strong. >> let's give the benefit of the doubt to the democrat candidates and their proposals. bernie sanders has admitted medicare for all will cost $40 trillion, a doubling of the federal budget. we have to get rid of the fence spending, something else.

joe biden has a green plan, not as expensive as the green new deal but what would happen to the american economy if we adopt these plans? >> to be fair to bernie he started admitting the tax structure would have to be more like europe which means middle-class people would pay taxes, by overpaying through their jobs, health plan, they would lose or whatever but the bottom line is there is no way to soak the rich to pay what is on the table. that is part of it. >> every american would have to pay. >> the tax burden of the middle-income person across all the countries that offer programs similar in scope isn't much higher. >> we will see if that happens. you can catch a show called bulls and bears every weekend on the foxbusiness network. we have discussions about all these issues we have discussed today. very smart panel. i'm their too. we will be right back. ;
