these people are saying we are doing great. it's just a maladjustment of our behavior, but it's okay and we are okay. everybody gets a trophy, it's i am okay, you are okay, no one has done wrong. but you create an uncivil society, civilization breaks down. and nobody has a real purpose and direction about doing the right thing because you called the wrong thing the right thing long enough and it becomes the right thing for those who left
12:10 am
their brains on the bed stand and not taking them to work every day. judge jeanine: they are taking parking lots and making them available for people to live in their cars. can't they figure out a way to take care of the homeless? you have got needles on the street, you have got thiewm feces. there was a woman who was assaulted on the embark der oven san francisco. the guy who attacked her was a homeless guy. then we find out he attacked another woman. is it the air out there? even the judges are off the reservation. >> i had to be in california this week and it occurred me i can't get a plastic straw but i can get a syringe. i can live in a car, i can sleep
12:11 am
on the street, i can defecate on the street. but i can't speed two miles over the speed limit because the law-biding people will be punished for the slightest infraction' but the people who obey no laws are let go. judge jeanine: how do we start to resolve this. this is los angeles, we are hear being other cities. now they are talking about things like applying-type illness. what do you do? >> if you don't have a governor who has the courage to call things what they are, it's not going to get resolved. you have gavin newsom who refuses to accept there ought to be consequences for bad behavior. the reason rudy giuliani was able to clean up new york city is because they quit look the on thered way at the small crimes which also had an impact on the
12:12 am
big crimes. when you take anyize off the big and the small crimes and say they are not crimes at all, these are people that are just habitation challenges, they really aren't homeless. you will have exactly what you are having in l.a., sacramento, san francisco. can you imagine in the united states of america we are talking about people having typhoid. judge jeanine: the president is about to gone it g-7. we have a tariff war going on. and we saw the market drop friday. as if the dow is an indicator of all things in the economy. what do you think happens and ultimately how is this going to play out? >> it's hard to say. but i will tell you what i hope will play out. i hope the republicans will stand up, get strong and support the president.
12:13 am
he's the first montana in our -- he's the first president in our lifetime to have the courage to stand up and say they are not going to take advantage of us and treat us as chumps and americans who don't have jobs because we allowed the chinese to cheat us out of those jobs. margaret said to george bush, don't go rabbley on us -- don't go wobbly on us, george. stand with this president. he finally had the courage to stand up to china and it's about time somebody has done it. judge jeanine: this has been a complaint of many presidents but no one attempted to deal with it. this president has. thanks for the plug on my book.

12:18 am
really? if the dems think their three 4-rbgs land of -- 3rs plan of attack will take down the president, they have another think coming. are you there, dan? he may not be there, folks. but i'm here. so how about we just keep talking about what's going on with the "new york times." the "new york times" chasing a headline that read -- all right, apparently we are going to switch. we don't have dan so we'll talk about socialism with charlie kirk. but first the trade war. can trump and america win? we'll debate it. i may get involved, too. i'm throwing punches with the panel now. all right.
12:19 am
what we got -- we have chris hahn and stephanie hail. let's get -- stephanie hamill. let's talk china and this trade war going on. the president just recently said that he's going to up the tariffs on china, and china of course is pushing back, and what we are trying to figure out is whether or not this is going to benefit the united states ultimately, and what happens in the end here? >> this might surprise you. i'm not totally opposed to calling china to the carpet for some of the things they have been doing. messing around in our economy dan messing around in the world economy. however, i think the president's style in approaching this is dangerous to the economy. he needs to do a much more
12:20 am
measured approach to his attacks on china and be more diplomatic and bring the world community along with him. that's why we are seeing dangerous spikes and dips in our economy because of the way the president is handling it. judge jeanine: stephanie, does the president need to do a much better job? >> i think the president and his administration are taking the right steps to move the country in a better direction for our future. the united states has been getting the shortened of the stick with trade. he doesn't want it to be business as usual. the president isn't wanting the united states to take advantage of other countries. all he wants is fair trade. it's not that difficult. but china is obviously not playing ball. there will be some transitional pain in the process. but in the long run it will be great for our country.
12:21 am
judge jeanine: even your former boss, chuck schumer is in support of the president going after china. you have to admit other presidents talked about it, but none of them had the chutzpah to go after china. whether the president has the world behind him or not, we are the strongest economy in the world. xi jinping, his economy is in bad shape and it's exacerbated by what's going on in hong kong with the protesters. if there was ever a time to strike, i would think this is the time to do it. >> i agree that chain ra needs to be dealt -- china needs to be dealt with. but we have an economy that's co-dependent with china as they are with us. it could send our economy into a free-fall. it's not a good thing to just spout off on twitter about your plan.
12:22 am
the president needs to be patient, diplomatic, he needs to have grace when dealing with it. judge jeanine: we have the best economy in the world. we have more jobs than people to fill them. and you know what? it's base is a straight talker. i will back off and let stephanie respond to you. >> we were talking about grace and not tweeting. president obama never did any of that and look where we are today. we have to tackle the deficit and tackle all these issues when it comes to the trade issues. it's appalling to me that people are up in arms. they are constantly criticizing the president. they want him to fail. it's really incredible that people aren't standing behind this president. they would rather sit back and criticize him. >> no, stephanie, people don't want the president to fail.
12:23 am
they want the president to calm down. i think we are all exhausted by the president's behavior. it's time for him to start acting like a president and not a gamer show host it's time for him to work collectively with congress and rise above the fray. his role being head state, head of party, head of government. he failed at that. judge jeanine: that's enough. this president when you say should be working with congress, all they have done from the day he got elected was resist him. and they are full of revenge because he wanted hillary clinton. would you tell me what the democrats did when the president stayed at the white house over christmas vacation? they wouldn't do anything this president wanted. >> something that we are not talking about is the fact that,
12:24 am
chris, are you one of the democrats hoping and praying for a recession? i don't hear you criticizing them. >> absolutely not. >> i'm not talking about fringe people. i'm talking about pun did, tv hosts including bill maher who said he's hoping for a recession to hurt the american people. where do these people come from. did they grow up in wealthy homes and did they forget where they came from because they are living in this elitist bubble. did you attack bill maher for this? i am so disturbed. it hurts my heart to hear the rhetoric. >> i know you are disturbed, tef anywhere, and sometimes pundits and people say things that might be disturbing. but when the president of the united states whose words matter
12:25 am
most of says he's the king of israel or he's the chosen one. or that the president of denmark is a nasty woman. his word matter most of. judge jeanine: i want to throw up the tweet with respect to the chosen one comment. he said when i look up to the sky and jokingly said i am the chosen one at a press conference two days ago little did i realize the media would claim i had a messiah complex. they my was kidding, being sarcastic and just having fun. i was smiling and looking up and around. the president has said that he
12:26 am
is asking american business to immediately start looking for alternatives to china. what do you think of that, stephanie? >> i think that's the whole point of trump's presidency when he ran for office. he said he wanted to bring jobs back to america. we can make our stuff at home. not only is it good for us in the long run. we are focused on getting cheap products from china. and we can be focused on the long-term goal of improving that. judge jeanine: go ahead, chris. >> there has been 20 years of infrastructure buildup in china by american companies. the president doesn't get to tell business was to do.
12:27 am
that's the definition of communism. including his own businesses who made their products in china. the president need to look at himself first. judge jeanine: let me tell you why you are wrong. there is a law called the under national emergency economic powers act it was enacted in 1977. and it gives the president wide berth in regulating international commerce. >> that's communism. anyway, it's good to have you guys back here, chris, stephanie. and thank you for jumping in early on that. dan bongino they say is back after technical difficulties. we'll hear from him life. we'll be back in a moment. is
12:31 am
12:32 am
russia, racism, now recession. joining me to talk about it, dan bongino. dan, you remember the "new york times" admitted one of the guys admitted they were flat footed after the russia investigation. apologized, thought they were going to take the president down, mueller was going to take the president down and that didn't happen. that was around the same time they changed the headline from trump urges unity against racism to. the "new york times" at this point, russia didn't work. racism thing isn't working. now they are on the recession. talk about that. >> isn't it unbelievable? this was considered at one point the tip of the spear of journalism. the old gray lady, the "new york times." i have no problem with the "new
12:33 am
york times" turning into the equivalent of tabloid journalism. it's perfectly legal to do that. there is nothing wrong with theming about the equivalent of "people" magazine. but stop pretending your journalists. this transstation -- they invested two years, they tooled their newsroom around something they knew was a hoax. and then they move on to another hoax. trump is clearly a racist. now they are pushing on recession with no evidence of that either. journalism is dead and gone, stick a fork in it. it's over. judge jeanine: it seems what they are wishing is that their fellow americans fall into hard economic times because they hate this president so much who has done so much for everyone by giving them scene economy where we have more job openings than
12:34 am
people to fill them. i don't understand why they don't understand how hateful and spiteful they are. >> i'm glad you said that. i know i can be sarcastic sometimes. but you pretty much hit the nail on the head there. these are real people with real moms, real dads working really hard and realize every single day when the recession hits, they will look their kids in the eyes, you know what? mommy last her job today, or daddy lost his job today. people like big march baiting the recession like they are fishing in a lake. do you realize there are real americans busting their cabooses every single day and they would suffer? after 8 years of a dreadful obama economy, people can finally take a vacation?
12:35 am
can eat a steak instead of a chicken a couple times a week. this really horrible. it's unforgivable. >> the president tweeted out our great economy is the talk of everyone. that's around the world. we have the strongest economy in the world. there is something called animal instinct that kicked in in the economy when the president was elected. everybody started realizing the economy is going to get better. when people like the "new york times" keep talking about recession. everybody instinctively starts to pull back and they can almost make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. paul krugman said if trump gets elected there will be a recession. they want it to happen and they act on it. >> paul krugman who predicted 22
12:36 am
out of the last 3 recessions. that guy should return his nobel prize tomorrow. you are right, it's called animal spirits. and the animal spirits are real. they have a psychological component. people consume when they feel like they are doing okay. when they are sitting there telling people the economy is the -- that the hottest economy in the world is garbage. under the crap obama economy they were busy telling us the opposite. saying everything is wonderful web's the greatest president ever. judge jeanine: i never met anyone who had a shovel-ready job. who did they give the money to.
12:37 am
let's talk about cnn and their latest hire. they hired andrew mccabe hot inspector general made a criminal referral to the department of justice for lying, for perjury to the fbi. what's going on here? >> i have been in this news business for 8 years when i left mire prior line of work. i have a pretty decent feel for it. cnn says we have a serious credibility problem. who should we hire to bring credibility back? let's hire the one guy who is under federal investigation for lying about the hoax we have been floating. everybody in the room says great idea. get the champagne. what a bunch of.
12:38 am
now, you hire the guy who told you the banana was the apple the whole time. andy mccabe. judge jeanine: don't they have clapper and who has brennan. all these guys have bern dcial in here is, leakers and liberals, clapper and been northern is where the lying started. >> brennan is over at nbc. they are telling people the collusion was true when it was a lie and they get to advance their lies again with the national megaphone. unbelievable. judge jeanine: the saddest part birth is people should be indicted and i'm starting to lose faith. i am sick and tired of talk about russia. i'm not seeing any indictments yet. but maybe i'm wrong. hope springs eternal.
12:39 am
12:42 am
12:43 am
parents and grandparents worked for for free. healthcare were college education and basic income. one of the things talk about in my book, this is a quote from bernie sanders. take a listen to this. these days the american dream is more in south america in ecuador, venezuela and argentina where incomes are more equal today than they are in the land of horatio alger. who's the banana republic now? it's bernie sanders towght how great venezuela is and now we know it's a disaster. what is it about socialism or is it stupidity on the part of these people that they don't
12:44 am
get? >> it's so easy to be generous with other people's money. it's easy to want to give other people's money to yourself. bernie sanders honeymooned in the soviet union and he has affection towards venezuela. what else it he saw that he liked? it wasn't the people suffering in the streets or the economy. it doesn't make people's lives any better it makes the middle class peer and the people who run for political office extremely wealthy. senator sanders said i could be rich, too. unfortunately time and time again, western democracies fall under the spell and temptation of socialism. we are seeing this happen all
12:45 am
across europe. venezuela has the number one deposit of oil reserves in the world. they nationalized them away from private ownership of minerals. now they are in complete chaos. judge jeanine: now they are saying we didn't mean venezuela. that's not real social i. then they point to the nordic countries. i talk about this in the book, too. i talk about sweden and denmark. they say that's real socialism. but in truth it's not. they are the not true socialist countries. tell us why. >> i'm so glad you have this in your book. this one of the top myths and lies we encounter on college california uses at turning point usa. norway, sweden and denmark, the saind naivian countries --
12:46 am
scarnd naivia --scarnd --sweden. the democrats don't want anything to do with that. also important to remember. the norwegian commonwealth fund is the largest in the world. where did they get that from? possible it fuel. they want a divestment of fossil fuels in america. the nordic countries have benefited tremendously from the assets they are trying to demonize in america. judge jeanine: and they are not too socialist with the free markets they have in these countries. but young kids aren't getting it. they say something like the top part of the richest people in the country will pay for
12:47 am
everybody when in truth in the united states, the top 10% pay for 45% of the taxes, where in sweden and other countries the top 10% only pay for 26% of the taxes. we pay for more than the nordic countries. >> that's correct. the other thing when you talk about socialism. they think that when somebody gets rich, someone else got poor. this is an economic fallacy. if somebody gets rich in a capitalist nation, you need to get other people rich simultaneously along the way. you do it year after year after year ethically. to get rich in a socialist country you run for office, and exploit the citizens. judge jeanine: charlie kirk, always great to have you on.
12:48 am
12:51 am
12:52 am
endorsement from his wife. >> your candidate might be better on, i don't know, healthcare, than joyce. but we have to look at who is going to win this election. maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say i like so and so better. but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat trump. judge jeanine: kayleigh mcenany joins me now. i have got to tell you. i get it when you are tired, you know, your circuits aren't connected. but this guy really has a circuit problem. he doesn't know where he is or when he's talk. but he is according to their polls, he is the frontrunner. why is that? >> it's befuddling. in the last month he told us the prime minister of the united
12:53 am
kingdom is margaret thatcher and rfk and mlk were aat night in 1970s. there is no one else palatable to the democrat base. they are opting for worse. judge jeanine: the frightening part is, limits assume a guy like that -- it's not frightening, if he's the candidate for the democrats, i mean, these debates are going to be popcorn worthy. but it is frightening that a guy who doesn't know what state he's in, i worry he may not know what country he's talking to or who's talking to. so they get his brain surgeon on and they say he's functioning. he doesn't go any further than that. but i think it's frightening to this country.
12:54 am
the next thing we have is a question as to whether or not he'll stay in that position. do you think he'll? >> i don't think he'll. i think he's destined to drop in the polls. he says he wants to eliminate fossil fuels. the democrats have to look at this and say how can this guy negotiate with president xi. how can he go to the g7. how can he handle president trump on a debate stage? he'll rip him apart. no, i don't think he'll survive. >> we have said at the campaign for a long time, this is as rabid field of leftists, and they are trying to placate a
12:55 am
very far left element of the democrat party. it's no longer the party of jfk. this is a party that embraced socialism. elizabeth warren fits the bill. she's rooting for a recession saying the economy isn't good when everyone knows it's the hottest country in history. judge jeanine: starting with the bernie sanders then going down, most of of them believe anywhere yous that are socialist issues, they are not outright socialists. you would think that would be enough to knock them out of the park. we are a free economy. we have the best economy in the world. what are these people thinking? >> they are thinking you have a democrat party where 60% of democrat voters according to gallup support socialism. the next debate will be interesting. at the center you will have joe
12:56 am
biden. to his right you will have bernie and to his left elizabeth warren. the two socialists pushing him as far to the left as humanly possible. judge jeanine: there are signs on telephone poles on the city, has anyone seen this man for deblasio. what are they saying? missing. deblasio. is he on the trail much? >> he's on the trail. but i think everyone is saying get back to manhattan.
1:00 am
there is a lot about socialism and their plan to remake america.greg gutfeld * is comin. >> that may be a real challenge in 2020. >> some people are exhausted. >> people are getting exhausted. >> it becomes incredibly exhausting. >> they wear those maga hats. >> the country is exhausted. people are exhausted by his behavior. greg: trump did say you would get tired of winning. gregg * as the combined ages of th
