6-year-olds and or the crash was on parole. the crime sweep began with raymond walters junior, stabbed his father and stole his car on his way to a mental hospital. he crashed the car install a police suv. dashcam video shows them driving backwards through dayton, ohio. moments later he slammed into a minivan packed with kids at 97 mph. the two little girls were killed. walters was released from prison two weeks ago. he will be charged with her murder. an update, actress lori laughlin and her husband keeping a united front as they fight charges and the college admission scandal. the couple waving their right to separate attorneys despite a judge's warning it to be a conflict of interest. a backdoor to avoid the media. laughlin and her husband are accused of paying $500,000 to ensure their daughters got into usc and they face 40 years behind bars if convicted.

policies are? ron the teller joins us with more. we appreciate it. let's bring up as we begin our discussion the five illegal immigrants charged with rape in montgomery county, we know the latest and the one right before in mendoza were both on and ice detainer, trying to clarify the final 3 but the bottom line is sanctuary cities protecting individuals like this at the risk of their own legal citizens. >> time from an, recounting and other jurisdictions to cooperate with ice. these are preventable crimes. they are in the country illegally so they are across the border, overstay their visa regardless of circumstances and then they commit another crime, very disturbing situation going

on. the county executive issued an executive order saying they will not work with ice to remove these people from their communities. they are here illegally and should be removed, counties and other jurisdictions should work hard to cooperate with ice. threats like this don't exist in the community. >> when ice files detainer does it mean individuals should not be released until ice is there? ice can in fact go into the jail they have to arrest them in the parking lot? >> the safest way to do it is with cooperating jurisdiction and there are many across the country that do that. they allow ice access, when somebody is released on state and local charges ice could take them into custody in the same setting. otherwise they have to find them in the community. it is more beneficial to everyone involved for this to occur?

>> who knows if they will find them before they commit another crime which has been the case in several sanctuary cities. this is what other officials had to say. >> the county executive is aware of this, we have received numerous phone calls and email. we are reviewing and evaluating all of them. shannon: i just found out all five of those individuals in montgomery county were on ice detainers but we see what has happened time and again. how many changes will they? >> they should change it, it would make their community safer, protect their citizens better, the detainer is a simple request to ask assistance, when that person is done, they get a simple phone call to ice, send an agent, an officer to the jail to pick that person up in the safest way possible. shannon: what is the thinking behind this?

people sitting at home are thinking this isn't common sense. does it have to be across-the-board the same for everyone kick you you would think someone accused of rape or murder or assault there would be different policies for them? >> it is against the law for these folks to be in the country whether they cross the border illegally, a simple request for assistance to that jurisdiction to turn the person over makes everybody safer. it is more efficient for the governor as well. those are preventable crimes for people here illegally. shannon: anything the government can do on the federal level? >> a number of programs within ice can help counties cooperate. the 2807g program, a number of things shares and local jurisdictions can do to cooperate with ice in an efficient way.

google engineer accused of stealing self driving trade secrets before going to work for uber facing federal charges was a grand jury indicting him on 33 counts of theft and attended theft of trade secrets. he is accused of downloading 14,000 secret files before leaving the company. he could spend decades behind bars if convicted. 16 women come forward with accusations against jeffrey epstein and calling for an investigation into co-conspirators to continue, the judge considers dropping his latest sex trafficking charges. brian ines with more on where it goes from here.

great to have you here this morning. 27% decline among nypd. as a former officer what do you think is going on? >> it is a direct reflection of poor leadership from these police chiefs and commissioners trying -- tying hands behind officers back and not letting them do their job. the job of a police officer is to protect and serve. they do it with honor and the police chief support them. when you don't officers are not going to risk their pension and risk their lives to do proactive policing which helps the communities lower the crime rate and allow citizens to feel more safe. >> look at these videos, the water incidents, three or four recently in new york city where people are attacking police

officers who are trying to do their job. the officers not responding at all because they know if they do then the officers are the ones who are going to get in trouble. >> it is shameful, a bad precedent moving forward. people are going to try officers more. officers are afraid and going to get killed more because they don't have capacity to work like they should. every single police chief running police agencies should be ashamed of themselves. they have no spine. it is about serving the public through empowering your police officers. if you feel there is an issue you don't need to pile legislation on them. give them adequate training, help police officers support them. >> let them know you will support them. is what nypd had to say about the drop in arrests, the brave women and men who join nypd did
