getting devastating rainfall, storm surge and category 5 winds, the storm is not moving and you can see the eye, the 10-mile wide eye, so they're getting calm weather. it's not moving, so it's like a category ef3 tornado that continues to just pound this area which is going to be devastating, catastrophic, damage that we perhaps have not seen before because of the slow movement, now, we have hurricane forced winds, 140, tropical storm forced winds, 140 miles from the center of the storm and we are about 120 miles due west of florida, so they're already experiencing the potential for tropical storm forced winds and
2:02 am
those outer rain bands are moving across the east coast of florida. here is the 5 amtrak, so we are expecting the storm to weaken but not by very much between category 4 and category 5, you know, not that much relief if you will as the storm moves closer to florida, we think that the center will be just offshore of the east coast of florida but as we go further out in time because of slow movement we will be talking about this not only today but through friday, our closest brush with landfall we think right now will be part of the carolinas as we go through thursday and friday as a major hurricane, but again, if you have tropical storm force winds that are 140 miles from the center of the storm, we will be pounding the coast of the east coast of the u.s. for the next several days, finally, we will see the storm move out we think on friday, but the northeast has to watch the storm because as we

go further out in time, that error, margin of error gets wider and wider, we have advisories here, hurricane warnings for part of the central coast of florida, tropical storm warnings and watches extend up towards the northern part of florida and interior sections and then that uncertainty as we go further out in time, a lot of the hurricanes, most of them you say, okay, well, we are out of here, accelerate but the fact that it's moving so slow, that means we have to watch every advisory that comes in, every report from the hurricane hunters so we can get the latest information but we are not out of the woods, the coast is not clear for florida, the carolinas and upwards towards the northeast. carley: janice, you said the two characteristics of the storm that it's strong and so slow. >> slow movement will be the catastrophic damage that we are seeing in the bahamas, we
