and the power size is rather dubious. well, it starts with an eye and it ends with a cheap. you get it. impeachment. cnn has learned that the joe house judiciary committee is preparing to take a vote in just a matter of days they could open the way to impeaching president donald trump or the vote is expected to take place as soon as wednesday and will lay out the ground rules for conducting impeachment hearings. >> laura: this is unbelievable unbelievable. a record case in prosperity and their answer is impeach the guy. it leads people are just jokers. forget passing the usmca, that was the trade deal that trumps stellar team successfully negotiated with mexico and canada. almost ten months ago now. by the way, it's a deal that will help all three countries, especially the u.s. and mexico. but at last i hundred 37 democrats want to begin impeachment proceeding against the president and that's despite

poll after poll showing that majority of americans including many democrats do not want to see trenton impeached. monmouth is reporting that 59% of americans said trump shouldn't be impeached. it lets a number that's remained largely unchanged since mid-2017. try and try again. well voters correctly understand that impeaching trump will be of bitter divisive fight, that's only going to further and damage the country. but the democrats who never accepted trumps election as widget enjoyment in the first place, they just don't care. >> i'm not too much interested in the polls is what's actually going on in administration pittsburgh i don't get to the mistake for them to take this to the next step. i do think the stuff they are taking is the appropriate step. it speak of the evidence of wrongdoing was so staggering that we had to -- quickly so i decided we had to support -- >> laura: what wrongdoing question my daily wrongdoing

we are going to fight and push and push and push with every fiber in our being. >> well, while many americans want background checks and may be some red flag laws as well, according to a new abc washington news post poll, more respondents said that her mental health treatment would be more effective than gun-control at reducing violence. fact. at today's democrats want fewer law-abiding americans to own guns. at the same time, that they want more lawbreaking illegal immigrants to enter the country to become u.s. citizens. wrap your mind around that for a second. they claim they want gun-control to keep us safe but the man brace sanctuary policies that allow illegal alien criminals to live here. and of course, get rid of public service as well. and in the case of that recent horrific report of marilyn's, allegedly murdered a 21-year-old man. all of them illegal.

well, because of president trump's leadership, thankfully, things are beginning to improve along the border. the number of illegals are is down for 56% since may. you don't see that much though, do you come in the mainstream network? the democrats, they want to undo all of that progress and treat border crossings like jaywalking so it will be like okay, hi, here's your ticket, and i go on your way and have a nice day si sir. report for your hearing later on. while, more americans i think will learn in the coming months how the democrats plan a massive power grab. that will ultimately find their socialist fantasies. like the green new raw deal. that will rob you and disempower you. and empower a giant new job scaling federal bureaucracy. on immigration, on trade it, and on the economy, trump has

demonstrated results time after time after time despite a democratic congress blocking him at every turn at a bunch of renegade judges as well. the new democrats though, they really have become a complete ongoing "saturday night live" skit of themselves. "snl" actually really covered it early. they are seething, they are angry, and their activists are fueled by a deep hatred of some of our most cherished traditions. even our history. for the better you do and the happier you are, the more money you will have in your pocket to spend, the more freedom you have to just live the life you want to live. the unhappier they seem to get. they are miserable. i remember, they want to drive the car and choose your destination for you. don't let them. not unless you want america to end up like this.

the left. speak of the media that freaked out when they heard that they are hafted dealing with this for possibly the rest of this live and the real thing is, one of them to understand that this is not just a one election or to election thing. this is a movement that is going to continue well past into the future. >> laura: i want to move on to some other topics. first i want to get your opinion that warren and hillary clinton are talking behind the scenes as the 2020 race intensifies. a lot of people think she is going to be the nominee. biden is ultimately going to fade away so warren is on the rise. let's say she gets the nomination of your looks like hillary is going to finger some advice. >> i think this is funny. i hope she gives them all kinds of advice. stiglitz talk about what else is happening is the democrats plan to slip a number of states. everyone wants to flip states or call them, that's how you went great i want to play something

that was said recently about this. watch. >> how many do you think you could reasonably flip? >> six. and you know what, we are coming at you texas. we dove to the word to exodus and i think it's genius. i love it. they've got an issue on their hand. >> laura: i have friends in texas who are not thinking it's going to be a cakewalk. >> i think those elections that are always tough. i still think texas is clearly in the win column for the president. i think there's a couple of seats that have kind of conduct. i don't think texas is in play in 2020. i think from the left, this is something they want to hear. i think this helps them fund raise. it helps them fund raise. they want that because right now all they have his hatred for my boss. they have nothing else to run on so they are trying to say hey, there's something occurring.

>> laura: what candidate concerns you the most? >> we can prepare for all the candidates. it's not like i designate one. right now the game plan is to build out a large operation across the country and i think that we are showing that. we're going to have 2 million trained volunteers. as multiples of what we had in 2016. there are states where last time our budget was $30,000 and the stomach of the 20 or or 30 or $40 million. we are expanding that math. minnesota is in plano, new hampshire, nevada, new mexico. >> laura: what about new mexico? new mexico, i'm hearing from a lot of people that the illegal immigration issue there, among latinos, it is incredibly motivating because they don't want it. >> and they are fighting against china and what's going on there. they love that issue. i know that the president is fighting for them and their jobs and their economic futures. as well as that, they actually see what happens with illegal immigration in their states and i think the president is going to win there and in every poll

is this criticism of your organization warranted? >> know and i love what drew brees set a right at the beginning of this controversy which is that christians, we have two commandments. love the lord your god with your heart soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself and we believe in that too. we are not anti-anybody. we do hold to traditional definition of marriage which is one man and one woman and for that, we paid a price and now drew brees is paying the price. the one where you surprised at this instant online -- and it was created by a publication no one had ever heard of, that is run by a publication in new orleans. so what was recorded by an online publication that has disgusting articles in it about stuff that we can even say on television and then i got picked up by all of these major media

outlets. again, you use to try to i think intimidate other players or anyone in public life from ever doing anything with a christian organization that has its own views about a lot of different issues. but that's what the goal was, was it not? >> i believe so and it's the muzzling of fact, the intimidation of fact. and it's unfortunate because we live in a pluralistic society. we've got to learn how to live together, even with disagreements and what's so difficult in this country right now is that we can't subscribe or hold to a viewpoint that is different from the cultural elites and i'll tell you what. that's going to be very dangerous. i came down here tonight to support drew brees so i'm at the stadium watching the game and it's been great but we need to support one another through's free speech, the freedom of religion, and that's why we do bring your bible to school so that kids can exercise that same freedom.

>> laura: it was interesting at the saints game before the game started, raymond went out and interviewed a lot of people. that was a representative sampling of the people who were willing to chat for a minute before they were going into the superdome and there is this overwhelming love for breeze and it was because they know him and, you know, he's not into politics but he's a christian man and he's a family man and they loved him and that came through in those interviews so it wasn't about hating anyone or hitting any group of people, because that is not a christian thing to do, hate people for who they are. >> absolutely right. and drew brees embodies that so well. he has done so much for the community here in new orleans. people love him because he puts his faith into action. he's a great husband, a great father, and a great citizen here in new orleans and i think all of that together is what people

care about and what's so unfortunate as there are people in the culture who want to break people down who believe in god and that's obvious. in fact there was a survey averages the other day that says that 40% of adults are afraid to talk about their political convictions and 75% of college students. >> laura: we have to go but you just missed a hell of an ending of the game. the games over it. sorry about that. i right, joining me now, someone who is not only a former teammate of drew brees but he has done work and focused on the family as well. former tight end for the new orleans saints who just came out of retirement to play for the patriots, all right, then, you came out swiftly to defend drew on twitter and then you were called week for standing up

for another grown man by the editor in chief of black force online. what was that all about? your response tonight? >> i'm not sure what that was about but i can say that when we talk about the bible and we talk about scripture, it's very clear that only by the blood of christ aren't we made right and whether we are christian or nonbelievers, we understand that we all have sin that needs to be forgiven, that's why we believe in his love and we hold ourselves to the standards of the scriptures so we are all under the same bible and it's really encouraging to see the support that came out for drew. it's going to be really encouraging to see on october 3rd how many kids bring their bible because we do have the right in this country to celebrate our religion and we do have the freedom of religion and the ability to exercise their religion however we see fit. >> laura: benjamin, they're so much focus on some of the more controversial players and former

players, kaepernick, et cetera. why isn't there more focus on so much of the positive stuff that is done by athletes, including christian athletes? obviously have done an enormous amount for new orleans as have a lot of your teammates and i'm not just focusing on the saints because the saints, may come of the patriots do a lot as well for the boston community but it seems like it's just all kaepernick state type stuff all the time. he gets lauded by the elites but someone who just says, you know, live your faith, live your christian faith, he's just lacerated by "the washington post." "the washington post" writes a piece saying he defended himsel himself. so they focused on that but it seems like an inordinate amount of attention goes to the positive on cavan about the

negative on something like this. >> we have talked a lot about collin and i said that i supported his right to take a knee but what sells is either a circus or a crisis. coaches have said that to me all the time. it's either a circus or a crisis. people are always looking for a second story so when it comes to things that are controversial and maybe it comes to something that can play in the media, something that would create a great headline, something that plays to whoever has the loudest microphone, that's what you're going to see. there are plenty of players who do great things in the community. i want a team of plenty of them. over the course of my career had been on locker with guys whose have stand for sex trafficking, the poor, racial inequities, things like mass incarceration, criminal justice reform, we have guys that are very passionate about our community and sometimes you are right. that goes under the radar because it's not something that will spark an interest and spark kind of a fight in a time where we live in a culture that's very divisive.

certain things are kind of like fish food where everyone wants a bite. >> laura: have a cat. i want to get a quick ration to someone we covered last week where jamaal hill created a stir with a piece in the atlantic was argued that black athletes should stop attending white majority colleges. what's your reaction to this? >> welcome i read the article and when i read the article, i agreed with her. she had some great points in that article there when you look at the history of black colleges in the hundreds of thousands of people that have come to the schools over the course of the last several years since they've been created and you look at what's been lost since integration has happened, what she was saying is somebody that is athletic and a multibillion-dollar business. i wanted to historically white universities that have a lot of money based on athletics but what she is saying is look, we live in a time where there is a big racial wealth gap. the average white family has an

income net worth that's ten times that of a black family so if we are able to pass some of these athletes that create so much in common, go to some of these schools, now that white students don't go, we live in times where everybody can go wherever they want to what she what she was saying was simply we are trying to pump money and revenue into some of these communities that are still big disparities. this may be a way to do it. obviously that's in a vacuum for other factors to figure into that but when you read her argument, look. she lays it out very cleanly and it's actually something that i agree with. >> laura: all right. well i think duke would have not been thrilled about you are not being there but we will leave it at that. college sports would certainly be a lot different today if -- if we went on a color-coded way during college admissions. that's re-segregating the country. why do we want that? >> no because segregation as you know is government mandated.

>> laura: my next guest has spent weeks poring over details that show a shocking level of hypocrisy at the highest level. real clear investigations of mark hemingway says that he found that it shows that those who shaped hillary clinton's failed would be a policy are some of the same folks of which the phony steele dossier. mark hemingway joins me not to unpack it all. mark, we are going to take the audience through a couple of the biggest findings but first, tell us how the clinton players have been involved from libya to steal. >> well actually we learned that holy clinton had a fight private email address first because her longtime email got hacked and as part of that hacked, we learned that he had a particular

interest in the libyan affairs and was constantly emailing haley clinton into reports about what was going on in libya and working with the ex-cia agent and this other longtime clinton awful person named cody share. and for a long time we wondered what the particular interest was and these fbi information was giving reports to ask when a motive for that which was recovering libyan assets and which would've been a very lucrative scheme for then. it and they would've gotten a portion of any of that money that they recovered. now as of today, city blumenthal is on record denying he had anything to do with us but the fact of the matter is the fbi was given all this information in june of 2016 to peter strzok's team and as far as we know, they did no investigation of it that we know of. >> laura: well who will come other than you, who is doing an

investigation of this now? i may and can we conclude that this is being examined by the doj or others? >> i've got no comment on the fbi or the doj on any of this. it there is some really stunning allegations that are put out there but they are exactly the kind of thing that seems to merit investigation. the important thing though is that if you contrast that with the fbi behavior, shortly after this report, they got another partisan source report the main shocking allegations about donald trump that they knew contained falsehoods and that was an all hands on deck affair for investigation whereas this other report that contained shocking allegations involving clinton appears to be ignored. >> laura: as far back as 2015, trey gowdy and others were probing these emails of the blumenthal center hillary. so he wrote that at the same time the blumenthal was pushing secretary clinton to war in libya, he was finally pushing

business interest of his own that were stood to profit. so what you're reporting is more evident of what gaudi originally found, correct? >> yes. well what it is is information was given to the fbi that was very specific of allegations being them involved in this acid recovery scheme that would give them a profit motive it motive for engaging and a profit motive for wanting to sabotage donald s campaign. again, these allegations are as yet unproven but there were other questions that were asked about what they were doing in libya at the time in 2015 from independent reporting like propublica and "the new york times" involving -- >> laura: the whole thing is that why was he going to benghazi? why is the investor going to benghazi when they knew how dangerous it was? i mean that just goes back to the whole question of benghazi. it was so incredibly bad that they were already warned about this as a separate matter in

libya. that was another question. >> absolutely. yeah. actually earlier reporting added in 2015 show that the ca officer was working with city blumenthal and was actually a consultant to cbs news in 60 minutes and may have been responsible for spiking critical benghazi reporting that they had done. >> laura: unbelievable. the clinton web always gets woven tighter and tighter. and speaking of the fbi and hillary clinton, new emails and covered by citizens responsibility and ethics in washington show just how much the fbi was scrambling with the fallout from the 2016 clinton investigation. now the email specifically shows a concerted effort by a former deputy director andrew mccabe to work with the process and reveal internal fbi deliberations and surrounding the former secretary of state. here now is former counsel fox news contributor against our to great to see it. it seems the fbi, mccabe

specifically, spent more time trying to clean up their conflict then actually pursuing wrongdoing here. >> yeah. sort of a lack of focus on what's really important as the savior says do what you need to do to preserve your job or whatever but that's right from the kiev's own which we now have. we see now that he was scurrying around, in fact he said he spent the better part of the day working at "the wall street journal" trying to shape the story and so forth instead of doing what the fbi should be doing. and all of us had to do of course with andrew mccabe's alleged conflicts because of his spouse and sized to the clintons through the governor of virginia and so forth. we need the fbi to focus on what's important and andrew mccabe did not seem to be doing that. >> laura: i want to go on to another couple of issues. the impeachment mania that has just gripped the democratic party, pelosi comes

out, she was asked about this today. a new step toward impeachment. let's watch. >> do you support the revolution that chairman adler had put forward? >> i do. i think we should really stand behind it. we should all work together. >> laura: she wants to set the agenda for impeachment or is it just to mollify the radicals and the democratic party and just hang a little piece of meat over the edge of the porch and maybe they will come? they will be satisfied to take and they got it. >> they've got to keep the howling dog is happy. satisfied and busy. this continues to be the impeachment movement, fringe movement, you've looked at the numbers. you show those numbers on the numbers haven't changed. what we do know from history is that impeachment is not going to work. when you have zero republicans in the house of representatives, zero republicans in the
