antoine, we'll start with you. did your 2020 guys jump the gun here? >> i don't know if they jumped the gun. there were some who never felt like the kavanaugh scenario, situation, had complete closure. even from the hearing before he was actually confirmed. so i think some of that was a carry-forward. i do think that in this environment, you have the measure three times, cut once, particularly reporters and i think vice president biden took the very pragmatic approach and made it about the last hearing and said we needed more information. same thing with senator klobuchar from medicin minnesot. rob: i want to look at the correction that was made by the new york times. an earlier version of this article didn't include one element of the book's account, the female student declined to be he veer viewed and friends -- be interviewed and friends say she doesn't recall the incident. lilly, how in the world that didn't make it into the new york times story, i have no idea.

julian castro, he should be impeached. the correction here, antoine, when we're talking about a democrat, the same voices would say this needs to be investigated further. when you're talking about brett kavanaugh, they say kick him off the court right now. >> well, rob, again, i will you to what i said is carry-forward from kavanaugh's historic hearing. four of those people who you listed on the screen are u.s. senators who in some way, shape or form participated in the conversation before, in the hearing before. be the to i think was in congress when kavanaugh was sworn in. castro was different. i think in these situations, the facts are very important. you have to follow the facts. i think vice president biden and amy klobuchar took a safe approach, some would say they didn't go far very quickly but i think they took a pragmatic approach. rob: they certainly did more so

$2.5 trillion over 10 years, student loan forgiveness, medicare for all, as well as the green new deal plan. do any of these policies work for any group of people, maybe the low income folks that need help the most. what do you say? >> well, certainly if you're very low income person and he excludes them from the tax increases, then that would help them. the question is where would you get the money? you have to remember that half the population, household income less than 60,000 a year, approximately, if you exclude them, where do you get the rest of the taxes? the reality is, and liz warren and bernie sanders knows this, is our income tax system is already very progressive. our corporate taxes are still a little bit above average. there really isn't a whole lot of room. they talk about taxing wealth. where is 90% of the wealth, 85% of the wealth, it's in retirement accounts. he wants to i'm po imp ofmpover'

temporary workers, and they're talking about opening yo up idle plants that have shut down. this could affect 46,000 union workers across the country at over 30 locations. the uaw president said their demands need to be met. listen in. >> we are standing up for fair wages. we are standing up for affordable quality health care. we are standing up for our share of the profits. >> reporter: i spoke to one woman that's right behind me, she says she works on the money line, they put on door latches on a lot of the suvs, and she said she's never seen a strike, we haven't seen a strike like this in 12 years. if they continue, they'll get $250 from the union. talks resume at 10:00 a.m.
