general ron rosenstein claimed he was joking when he and andrew mccabe discussed recording the president but now some new memos written at the time reveal he was serious so how should the administration respond to this? david bruno says we need to take anything mccabe says with a grain of salt and he joins me to explain, thanks for joining us. can't listen to mccabe. what do you think happened? is going on? >> on the key piece the inspector general referred to the department of justice and more recent news said that the part of justice are inviting. we will see but here is what i think about the story. i think this brings credibility to rosenstein. because rosenstein had towed the line on both sides. he started by writing a memo recommending firing comey, then

appointed mueller, oversaw the mueller investigation and i think the last and final part which is most important to this conversation is he and ag bar shut the door and obstruction of justice. the mueller report closed down conspiracy but left open obstruction of justice and that the time we didn't know why but now we know it is because the memorandum in the department of justice said no sitting president can be indicted but when ag bar got the memo he was with rosenstein and he and rosenstein came to the conclusion the evidence was insufficient to charge donald trump change what about looking back at this quote from mccabe on the rosenstein wire, the deputy attorney general propose he could wear a device to collect additional evidence on the president's true intentions. he thought it might be possible because he was not searched in

we appreciate it. a topic to hit on this morning has been so prevalent in the news. i will begin with a young girl herself, greta thunberg. what damage could this be doing? we know from her mother she is on the spectrum, possibly as burgers, adhd and other things, she has development all challenges. >> i want to be careful. i want to applaud her energy and enthusiasm and devotion, very courageous but as someone with as burgers i worry about her being exploited. if you listen to her speech and some of her language there's very little -- i don't believe she connects with what some of that means. it is very sophisticated language and she's very upset which is typical of asbergers to be assessed with a cause which is very good but she make little

connection to the social work, nuances, when you see her speak it is almost here he, as if there is no real connection, the hatred, the anger is not typical. a little scary for someone that age. heather: i do a lot of work with children on the spectrum who grow into wonderful adults, families working with them throughout their lives so we don't mean to disparage those folks but let's talk about the damage this is doing to children who are listening to this message. you hear aoc, the world is going to end and 12 years, things like that. >> kids are very concrete until -- they start around 8-10 depending on their maturity level, they take things very literally. when you hear the world is going to end and it is very polarizing, there is a group of people just wanting to make money and destroying the world for the rest of us it is hard

for kids to understand what that means, it is very scary and it is like a superpower. heather: this poll was done showing most americans are frightened by climate change, 57% of teenagers feel afraid about climate change and another poll we did said climate change should be a factor in having kids. 38% believe climate change be a factor when -- many of them choosing not to have children. >> an interesting statistic because it is more important to think about what we can do to prevent climate change. you want to bring kids into the world and raise them so there's awareness and consciousness on an internal level and how they can interact socially with the world. it is a global overreaction for kids to be afraid to bring kids into the world. heather: one of the reactions is using children in this way when

combating terrorism, defeating isis, having a new iran engagement. on the other side he talked about the need for our partners and adversaries to put their national interests first and in that way we could work together with more clarity. heather: yesterday, what he had to say in reference to iran at the un, let's listen to that. >> a lot of pressure on them right now, more pressure than they ever had. a lot of things happening with respect to iran then you would know. heather: the european joint statement on condemning iran for the saudi oil attacks, they say iran bears responsibly for the attack, there is no other explanation. to accept negotiations on a long-term framework for the nuclear program. my question is what response do you think donald trump will get

from the un and will he get the credit he deserves when it comes to work and successes he has had? >> those are important questions and your sentiment is right. the response to him will be very positive this year because iran's behavior suggested the president was right with the maximum pressure campaign all along, to have the europeans issuing a statement that iran is responsible for the saudi oil field attack and to understand the british prime minister for example declaring we need a new iran nuclear deal that includes regional stability. this fits with what the president has been doing from day one. he is driving the process at the un general assembly meeting this year based on facts on the ground.
