tragedy at a pennsylvania hospital, three babies have died and 5 more are infected with the bacteria spreading through the neonatal intensive care unit. many demanding to know how did this happen? let's begin with that. >> this, my heart goes out to this family. it lives naturally in the environment and loves the water, and what happens is several things can occur that go wrong in a hospital like if someone doesn't wash their hands, it is number one way to prevent the spread of infection. we have breathing machines and catheters and if it is not properly cleaned or disinfected this could happen and we could

see antibiotic resistance where antibiotics we have to treat these infections just don't work, it is multi-drug resistant. heather: the medical center said these cases occurred in extremely premature infants who are considered severely immune compromised. there is no reason to believe any incoming water sources or incoming water at the tmc facility poses a risk to the general public. who is at risk? >> usually this is an opportunistic infection, it usually doesn't cause serious illness in healthy people. it infects those with weak or underdeveloped immune systems like premature babies or someone who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment or someone with cystic

fibrosis or diabetes. heather: not necessarily just babies. >> usually cause more severe illnesses for those with weakened immune systems or underdeveloped or another type of autoimmune disorder that could affect your but it can affect you and i if we go to a hot tub that is not properly correlated or an ear infection or skin infection, the lungs or the bloodstream but most of us can fight it off with a healthy immune system with antibiotics as long as it is a not a drug-resistant strain. heather: we went through how it is contracted. when people go to the hospital how can they avoid this type of thing? >> the most important thing is handwashing, proper disinfection, strict guidelines and protocols on preventing these outbreaks. heather: appreciate you joining us.

procedure. >> i don't think she has the votes. we see some polling on this but that general question of representatives that support impeachment action, that is not impeachment. how many of those will go to the floor right now? let's see how many we get. if they don't have the votes they should not be going down this hunt, i will call it a witch hunt for now with six committees bouncing around subpoenas, giuliani and his associates in the state department. we are going to need court proceedings to determine what executive privilege is. this is a reoccurring issue with don mcgann, giuliani, the state department, there are outstanding issues and when they go before the district court they better have an impeachment. are they going to make the
