here to react robert charles, thank you for your time this morning, it's hard for people on the other side to argue the timing of this, isn't it? >> it is, the logic of this entire thing begins to line up behind the president now and i say that because it's playing that both bidens knew that their behavior was unethical at the time, if you know it's unethical to take money from a foreign company when your father is running for president, then you also know that it was unethical to take it when he was a sitting vice president, and also puts a bright light on december 2013 trip that the two bidens took together on air force 2 and within 10 days, hunter biden, joe biden's son held a billion dollar contract in his hand for his company. i think it also corroborates now the idea that there was public corruption involved in the biden 's trip to ukraine and finally gives the lie of impeachment because if there was

some kind of claim for violation then it was appropriate for attorney general and perhaps also for a president to take a look at what the underlying facts were and to those who say, well, you shouldn't be investigating a candidate, i think you have to ask the flip question if every candidate is immune from investigation into a prior criminal act, then i think we've missed the boat. [laughter] rob: i would certainly say so especially when you're talking about the president of the united states. let's look at the statement, if you're going to quit your job doesn't look good, why are you quit if there was nothing wrong, here is a statement of hunter's attorney. he never anticipated the barrage of false charges on him and his father from the president of the united states. basically saying hunter got his

job because as vice president but it's not going to affect his job. >> think about the inference that the americans draw from taking trip to ukraine threatening a prosecutor to leave if he doesn't drop charges or investigation against your son and taken a trip on air force 2 with your son to communist china and turned around and ten days later he has a billion dollar contract in hand, the inference itself is the indicting point and i think every american who is really seriously looking at this will understand that, this looks to me a little too little, a little too late, this is like the cabinet member in the scandal giving back the money and saying, we are all good now, right, i don't think it works that way. >> i'm curious what you think about this statement, this is another statement from hunter biden's attorney but this is on comply if joe biden is elected president and this statement says, quote, under biden

this was donald trump, jr. alleged to have done something like this, do you think that the media would have accepted a ukrainian investigation into this and washed their hands of it and said everything is fine? >> well, no, think about the irony of this, you're saying you don't need to investigate it any further because the country that joe biden was over there saying was politically corrupt has concluded that you weren't politically corrupt, i think there's an irony there and in china we are talking about communist china putting in the lands, i mean, this is all public data, putting in the hands of joe biden's son after a trip on air force 2 over there a contract worth a billion dollars, the obvious inference is the problems here and the larger question at the end of the day isn't whether this amounts to something that the president should or shouldn't have had more information on, it really is about the fact that the former vice president has really acted in ways that are not ethical and that at the end of the day i think this is going to be putting candidacy into a tail spin.

democratic strategist sasha burns, a lot of people have different opinions, sasha what do you make of this, what are the cons and pros in your opinion? >> i want to make clear i'm very respectful of pro-life opinions. it's very difficult and very personal issue, but the relevance is a legal once, the right to an abortion is law of of the land and states have right of restriction as they should and in this situation students at the university generally see healthcare providers at the student healthcare center. this isn't a candy bowl of condoms, you go and see healthcare provider, you have your exam, you speak with a

counselor, the medication is provided by a licensed legally authorized healthcare provider in the room with you and so it's simply, you will pose abortion, but -- jillian: hold on, i don't know that -- let me interject because i don't know that that's fair to say because there's other places off campus that students will be able to go and some people are making the argument that if you have readily available on college on public university campuses that it almost gives the portrayal that you're not -- you don't have any repercussions for your actions. >> look, abortion is legal, it's a right. whose idea of repercussions, that's a personal feeling about it. it has nothing to do with whether it's a legal healthcare

procedure that someone is allowed to access. jillian: let's go to jenny beth, what's your opinion on what you're hearing? >> well, universities and colleges should be institution for higher education and should not become abortion centers and that's what this bill or law now is going to do, they're going to start with abortion pills and they will continue to expand from there and -- and i don't think that it's a correct thing to say that if you oppose the bill you oppose abortions, california's own finance department opposes the bill and i guaranty you that most of the people who work there are liberals who support abortion, yet they understood that the cost for this bill would exceed to meet the requirements that would exceed the grant funding and they are very concerned that it's going to cost taxpayer dollars out of general fund to pay for additional personnel

upgraded facilities and more, it's not just a matter of handing out pills, a lot more requirements on top of that. jillian: rely on private donations an not state dollars for pay for services themselves, it's interesting to know that jerry brown vetoed similar legislation last year, just last year, let's take a look at gavin newsom tweet, california first state to require public universities to offer abortion pills on campus while other states have attempt today roll back a women's right to maintain control over her body, california continues to expand reproductive freedom across our state and then another statement here, this is from the pro-life statement, governor gavin newsom support on campuses will put students lives at risk and schools at risk of lawsuits as conscious rights are violated. one final word from both of you, sasha, i will start with you.

to be the arbiter of conduct when it comes to politicians and what they are putting out in political advertising, if we look at traditional advertising, other forms of media they typically, you know, people are holding facebook to a separate standard than we told traditional media. rob: as you said tv ads, radio ads, they don't have to sensor things if it's not true, if you make an ad that bends the truth a little bit which a lot of politicians do, happens all of the time. >> we are still in new territory when it comes to social media advertising and what's going to happen and facebook is trying to figure out what their role in all of that is and the role of social media advertising in 2020 will be interesting to see where that goes. rob: she's gone on the attack, mark zuckerberg doesn't want her to be the president of the united states, we have heard that, a statement from facebook on the ad, facebook believes free speech should be protected f senator warren wants to say things to be untrue, facebook
