syrian border. the syrian border is vital to our national interest says mitt romney without explaining exactly how. the syrian border is who we are as people, the poem on the statue of liberty commands us, commands us to maintain syrian territorial integrity. it's so important, we must send troops there immediately to secure that border. an overwhelming majority of both parties republican and democratic voted to condemn the withdrawal of american troopsra from syria. someone sponsored a bill to construct a wall, yes, a wall on the syrian-turkey border, there's no question it would pass congress by a wide margin. that is how worked up they are and you can't blame them. it's hardd to stay calm when you see footage like this. [speaking foreign language] >> tucker: terrified, those poor kurds. that was a war zone footage but it was not from syria, in fact, it was from mexico, our neighbor to the south. we share nearly 2,000 miles of border with mexico so you think our leaders would pay attention to what's going on there. if they did, they would be worried. tonight, the mexican government appears to be losing its war with the sinaloa cartel. recently, the government of mexico captured a man named guzman lopez, he is the son of el chapo. they released so much violence at the mexican government caved and released el chapo's son. that is shocking by american standards but in mexico, it's routine. last year the country of mexico

reported 33,000 murderers, that's almost double the number of murders we have here in this country but mexico has one-third as many people as we do to put it in perspective. this year, they may break their own murder record, you would never know any of this by watching american media, our press does not cover mexico except in the most caricatured terms. our leaders bring their hand about the syrian border but ignored a failed state right next to texas, arizona, and california, isis is very scary, they are a massive threat along with iran but they don't seem to care at all ou about the sinaloa cartel on our southern border. isis is awful but in theory they might kill americans in terrorist attacks but this in the lower cartel is killing thousands of americans every year. how? it's the single biggest smuggler of fentanyl into the united states, nobody talks

about it, it's completely ignored in washington. that says everything about the priorities of both parties. mitch mcconnell denounced the decision to withdraw troops froo syria, we can never leave syria, it would be a grave mistake to leave syria he tells us. for two years when the republican party had complete control over congress and the white house, mcconnell and the rest of his party did nothing to secure our border, our actual border. if only the kurds were battling with fentanyl epi epidemic, maye washington would then care. maybe mitt romney would consider the crisis ine mexico worthy of his attention. we invited mitt romney on the show, he declined. derek moss is the former head of the dea special operations division. from the video that has been coming in all day, what looks to
