morning reveals hundreds of security violations by dozens of people for sending classified information back in the obama administration. >> aishah hasnie is live in the newsroom with more on this stunning report. good morning. >> good morning. clinton and her aides have always claimed the controversy was overblown. now we have a report that reveals a ton of security violations. the state department was able to review 30,000 e-mails and found 588 violations. 38 individuals were found responsible for 91 of those violationses. but the report was unable to assign responsibility to the other 497 violations and that's because the people involved had already left the department. the report found more than 30,000 records had been deleted. the report stated this. while the use of a private e-mail system itself did not necessarily increase the likelihood of classified information being transmitted on unclassified systems, those incidents which then resulted in

flew from angola to brazil and then worked his way up through mexico and then over the border. this particular migrant then crossed the border, claimed asylum. he didn't get it. he was ordered deported. and instead of deportation he went over to the canadian border, crossed over and a few years later did a double vehicle ramming, just in 2017, that severely injured five canadians including a police officer. what this case represents really is a first known border crossing over the mexico border that resulted in an actual terror attack by migrant carrying an isis flag. so it's significant in the sense that it provides a valuable learning experience and it is something that needs to be studied. >> well, it definitely needs to be 12 studied, you're right, to. i wonder, on one hand it seems

i was there. it's unbelievable we are at this point. is there a chance that the murder conviction that you and i watched happened that day will be vacated or overturned? >> well, it's a very slim chance, griff. bottom line is. this another twist and turn in the jodia arias case. we had to expect it. this case has been odd all along. if you were in this courtroom last week for this hearing, i think you would have been as surprised as everybody else was in there jodi wasn't in the courtroom. she was saying there was such bad misconduct by the prosecutor in this case she deserves a new trial. so we all expected the three-judge panel to really go after that case. to poke a lot of holes in it they did to a certain extent. they went after the prosecution side of this. the state attorney. they asked that state attorney was juan signing autographs and taking pictures with fans he said yes he did it in one instance. was he badgering instances did he say the only reason you are here is because you want to have sex with her?

he said well basically i guess that it sounds like that. yes. and then he evaded the question a couple of times. the lead judge said was there misconduct by the prosecutor in this case? and the state attorney said yes. there was some. but not enough to overturn this verdict, griff. because there is so much evidence here. so about 90 days they should have their decision. again, a slim, slim chance that jodi arias can get a new trial or walk free. as we just mentioned strange things have happened in this case. griff: that's incredible, particularly that the judges had harsh questioning for martinez. if there is in 90 days or so. is there a chance that jodi arias is going to walk out you have prison ivan if temporarily or will she remain behind bars or do you know? >> she is going to stay for now. there is several things they can do. the court can do nothing. basically say everything stands. the court can say yeah, the prosecutor wasn't great and don't do it again. but the verdict stands. they can vacate the verdict. basically set it aside and say all right, prosecutors,

what do you want to do? do you want to try this again? or they could overturn this verdict. now, if that happened, listen to, this griff, jodi's attorneys are already talking about double jeopardy. they say if there was willful misconduct and the verdict gets overturned she can't be tried again and shield walk free. griff: wow. what contact have you had with arias. you obviously had had this rip before this trial started. that's why you got this remarkable first interview with her. i was there just moments after she was convicted. she spoke to you. have you talked to her now? do you intend to interview her again? >> no. so there is a weird tunnel that goes in between the maricopa county courthouse and the jail. i didn't even know it existed. i got down there right after she got sentenced. and she didn't know about it. i was down there with a camera and we got an interview with her. shy wouldn't talk to me. she was very upset. she tweeted that she thought it was a gang rape with me and sheriff joe arpaio at the time. we haven't had any contact since then. griff: out of time, troy.

elections these crises don't seem to change that why is that? >> the people in those states or cities have made their bed. i don't think they should expect the rest of the country to want to live in it. it's one thing to say this is what my priorities are where i li and that's what voter say. the progressives running for president are saying the whole country will embrace these policies. they are pretty extreme policies. you know, beto o'rourke wants to end the religious exemption or the tax exemption for churches that don't support gay marriage. he wants to take away and confiscate guns. kamala harris is musing about slavery reparations. elizabeth wants to take away private health insurance. they are saying that anti-trump hatred will carry the day next year and so we can push all of these progressive policies on the country. and i'm not so sure you can equate those two things. dissatisfaction with donald trump and support for ending the electoral college. jedediah: yeah, but then why are people. for example, elizabeth warren surging in the polls. some polls surpassing joe biden and joe biden was considered by many to be the

judiciary committee but nancy pelosi took the investigation away from the judiciary committee, gave it to adam schiff but in those two previous investigations not only to the minority have equal rights with the majority when it came to calling witnesses and issuing subpoenas but they also had immediate access to all the documents and materials as to the president's lawyer who sat in on their staff meetings, sat in on closed hearings, was able to ask questions, suggest witnesses and at the end of every presentation of any evidence whatsoever he was able to state the president's position and put on the record. none of that is happening in this instance and our democracy is all served by this hyperpartisan effort led by adam schiff. i have had little personal experience with adam schiff. i was summoned to the u.s. congress after leaving the white house to testify in front of the judiciary committee. in advance adam schiff talked about these outrageous charges made by another lawyer from alabama that i had somehow gone after the alabama governor because we feared it was a future democratic nominee and got him indicted and sent to jail, these wild extreme things in advance of the hearing and
