interfere with brain development, nerve development and even maybe down the road who knows if it can lead to seizures or cancers, bladder cancers, that's why we are so concerning and on alert now. >> baby food, 95% tested they have these kinds of metals, although chuck schumer just said them, it's arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury. do you think this has happened all along, i don't think that the stuff should be in human like adult food let alone baby food? >> it's not new and a couple of years ago fda assigned a team of scientists to find ways to reduce the exposure of the neurotoxins to newborn baby so they don't have potential long-term consequences and impacts on their health and they did find that the levels of exposures and levels of

chemicals and toxins have decreased but still a lot more that can be done and still a lot more that we should be doing. >> i don't think a lot of parents have enough time to make their own baby food, do you have any recommendations on what parents should do? >> simple changes can actually reduce exposure of the toxins and metals by almost 80%, for example, they found that the culprit is rice-based foods, so instead of rice puff snacks, try to avoid the rice cereal using instead multigrain, avoid juices, they were found to be in juices, try to use water instead, not for newborn babies, older kids. be sure to watch them and monitor for choking and this sort of thing, fda and companies have to take measures to using alternative irritation practices

one-third is always on duty, two-thirds maybe off, you have somewhere 20,000 police officers, off duty protecting and serving our community, you take away their weapons, let's say i'm in off duty and in a bogea or armed robbery or somebody at knife point, i don't have any weapon, what am i supposed to do, take your weapon, you stop the crime, you save potentially someone's life. >> another candidate that's run if for same seat, sammy revelo says disarming the police will negatively impact poor communities and communities of color where violence is higher due to socioeconomic reasons. >> look, that's a point, that's absolutely right. when i was a kid growing up everybody knew the cop on the block, the cop in the building, when there was trouble they ran up to the apartment. i know i did it as a kid.

it's good to have presence of police officers. they can't protect themselves, how are they going to protect you? >> what you are alluding to cops to get into communities and really form those bonds, obviously this notion, this tweet is born out of sort of disaffected notion of these communities versus cops, what can officers do to really rebuild these bonds with communities so we don't see tweets like is this? >> police officers in my opinion are psychiatrist, they're a babysitter, they're a doctor, confessor, people comes to cops, the folks that i know embrace their community because they are from the community, nypd is more diverse now than it's ever been and to take that away you are taking take -- taking that away. >> so much respect because they put their lives on the line
