certainly heavy rainfall and isolated tornadoes as we go through the day, we still have tornado watches in effect, we have at least 2 reports of tornadoes, one of them moving through the heavily populated dallas region, of course, we will continue to see the damage reports as the son comes up, this was a nocturnal tornado, it came when it was dark and people couldn't visibly see it but if you had your weather radio on and listened to forecast you would know that we were under severe weather watch for several hours, there's the watches right now, those are tornado watches as we go through the next couple of hours stretching from texas through louisiana up through arkansas and even parts of the tennessee and ohio river valley and we have a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings for northeast texas and towards arkansas, the risk continues today through parts of texas into louisiana, mississippi, up towards tennessee, again, there's where we have the watches and the warnings for the next couple of hours, that line

democratic nominee and i think he's pledged to do that again this time. jillian: headline from politico magazine that really says a lot in few words, aoc-sanders endorsement won't change 2020 but eight might change the democratic party and you can go onto see a quote there, talks about the timing of the endorsement, sending sharp message to the party establishment and progressive movement. so my question to you is, okay, so maybe this isn't necessarily going to change the party in 2020 but what's to happen beyond 2020? >> well, there's no denying that the democratic socialists of america have begun to expand, i believe 60 new chapters have popped up in the last year and surprisingly it's not in new york where you would associate some of the far-left factions or in california, but it's in areas of the rust belt, areas where trump had a lot of success and areas that propelled him to victory in 2016, because the message that the socialists are

beating the drum about is resinates with people in those areas, when you talk about the fact that healthcare premiums have increased more than wages have increased, or the rising cost of tuition which continues to skyrocket and 8 times -- going up 8 times faster than wages are going up. when you look at the numbers and the fact that people feel as though the people at the very top are getting wealthier and wealthier and it's not trickling down to the middle class or lower class, you see the attraction of socialism particularly among young people. rob: there's a way to combat some of the issues and there are some issues with capitalism but there's a way to do that without being a socialist, that's kind of what elizabeth warren is all about. let's look at the platform policies here of bernie sanders and also aoc there in the picture, you can see this is an extraordinarily expensive platform that they have. tell me why elizabeth warren who does back at least medicare for all at this point, why is she

not left enough you think for democrats or at least the far left wing of the democratic party? >> well, i think for the socialists she's not far left enough because she doesn't go as far as bernie sanders does when attacking the ultra rich, he's come out and said she's a capitalist to her bones and that's something that bernie sanders has called her out about saying he's not a capitalist and he doesn't think billionaires should exist, she tries to tell the loin and say that while he wants to rein in some of the wealth and make sure people pay their fair share, she's not going to completely attack the entire sort of base of billionaires that are out there, the 100 or so billionaires in america, she's not going to completely eliminate them but wants them to pay their fair share and dodged on questions whether or not her healthcare plan will increase taxes on the middle taxes and that's something that people want to take a harder stand on, done

tulsi has stated that she has no intentions of running as a third-party candidate and she will be a democrat. rob: what's your response to this, when you see this? what do you say? >> well, i say that hillary clinton just cannot get over the 2016 election, she's seeing russians literally everywhere including in her own party and it's beyond irresponsible to call tulsi gabbard a russian asset, she's a decorated military vet and a sitting congressman but what it shows to voters now that trump is not the target, it shows the lengths at which the democratic establishment will go to destroy a political opponent, it's actually destroying america and face in political system and shame on them because essentially hillary clinton invented the russian hoax and eventually mueller dismissed it and she was never held accountable and she can do it to whoever she wants. rob: let's listen to tulsi get back to hillary clinton.

benjamin and laura and jason from the petco foundation, thanks for coming on this morning. david, we will start with you, a lot of people come back from war and they're messed up, what can a dog do to help that? >> it's a nice transition, rob, to get us into productive members of society again where we don't want to talk to anybody, fear judgment, a dog doesn't do that, right, just like god spelled backwards. jillian: someone said to me once benjamin that really stuck with me and said dogs are a big part of our lives but we are their entire life, you come back from service and you have this dog now that you're his entire world. >> that's very true, when you're in the military they spend a lot of time in training you for the fight that you will encounter and down range and they don't

talk about coming back at home, veterans transition from full-time active duty service to working in private sector and having a companion that's there with you, that's your entire world to help ease that transition, give the individual purpose, a mission, comfort during those dark times, those quiet times that are all too often with veterans this day and age. rob: i think you have a story if i'm not mistaken, you had a dog who actually saved your life? >> shiyan, pit bull mix, two of my friends commit suicide, one before we deployed and one after we deployed. i found myself at 45 pistol in my mouth, as i was squeezing the trigger my rescue pit bull and the door was latched by the way, jillian, rob, she walked in and saved my life and big way of getting this, what we have personally sacrificed which

isn't a lot to me compared with ben, petco helped saving so many lives of dogs who are no choice in their fate and military heros who deserve credit. rob: that's a story there. jillian: how has jolene saved your life? >> i came on active duty on 2016 and, you know, by every measurable means that you could -- you know, by every quantifiable means, i spent time as enlisted man as green beret and later on infantry officer but i still found as small business owner transitioning very successfully but i still had a lot of trouble kind of integrating myself back into the private sector, finding time for myself and finding a lot of structure that existed in my personal life, professionally it had always been a significant demand but personally i had never been to my own devices, so to speak.

getting jolene gave me structure and something to care about at home and really gave me the type of love and affection in my personal life that up until that point i hadn't had for a very long time. >> that is really cool. laura and jason at the end here working with the petco foundation. >> it's great to support organizations like david companion for heros and do that with petco foundation and offering grants and investing in servicemen and women and their companions and setting them up for a successful future. jillian: laura, talk about how the dogs become service dogs and companion dogs, a lot of the dogs have been sitting in shelters, they are facing euthanized and they are saved. it's like everyone is saving everyone right now.
