mark: it's been a pleasure having you, keep up the fight. join us next time on live, liberty and levin. [♪] jesse: welcome to. "watters' world," i'm jesse watters. left wing hypocrisy. this week donald trump use sad word, democrats used the same word in the same way, but they freeked out. here is what truck said. so some day if a democrat becomes president and the republicans in the house even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the president without due process or fairness or any legal rights. all republicans must remember what they are witnessing here, a lynching. but we'll win. lynching is and racially charged word, a painful word to use.
5:01 pm
i would have used a different word. but we are all adults. its answer analogy. the way democrats are running impeachment feels like a mob action done in the dark without due process. democrats are telling witnesses they can't have attorneys. they are threatening witnesses. republicans aren't aloud to call witnesses. president trump can't see the evidence presented against him. republicans can't see the transcripts of the testimony or listen to the tapes. there is an impeachment going on and the american people don't get to sight. it's being done in secret rooms in the basement of the capitol. they leak part of the testimony to the media and spin to it make look trump bad. republicans are coming out of these hearings and saying this
5:02 pm
is fake news. the mainstream media reporting that he provided evidence of a quid pro quo involving military aid is false. neither he nor any other witness provided testimony that's ukrainians were aware that military aid was being withheld. >> john ratcliffe destroyed this witness. there is no quid pro quo. jesse: a president is being impeached in secret and his party has no rights. this whole process is a threat to the republic. donald trump is expressing frustration when he used the phrase lynching. it was used before in the 90s a lot. >> even if the president should be impeached, history is going to question whether or not this was just a partisan lynching org whether or not it was something that in fact met the standard,
5:03 pm
the very high bar set by the founders as to what constitute an impeachable offense. jesse: this is what biden said. trump this week. impeachment is not lynching. it's part of our constitution. to even think of making this comparison is abhorrent, it's despicable. peter doocy asked him about it. >> when you called president trump despicable for comparing impeach to the lynching, did you know there was a tape of you saying that. >> yes, i did, and i apologized for it. i didn't it's as a dog whistle. he's use it as a dog whistle. jesse: have you in the only liberals hear dog whistles. >> i don't vote for this lynching in the people's house.
5:04 pm
>> what you have going on is a very unfortunate process much a verbal lynching. >> what's happening here is not a prosecution, it's as persecution and a political lynching. >> we are taking a step down the road to becoming a political lynch mosh. we'll find a robe, find a tree, and ask a bunch of questions later. jesse: hillary said trump rallies remind blacks of lynching. democrats have called president trump hitler. controversy and the media is going nuts about it. take a breath, take a step back, wait 24 hours and every single time the democrats have done the exact same thing. or worse. just remember, they are all hypocrites, and don't take the bait. here with reaction and making her "watters' world" debut, white house press secretary, stephanie grisham. any reaction to watters word? >> this is a mob action happening by the dems. there is no due process. there have been over half a dozen dems who used that word. so as you said, the hypocrisy abounds. i would also add we are getting a little bit of blowback for saying human scum, and maxine waters said that about
5:06 pm
administration officials, that we are all human scum. there is strong language everywhere because there is a big partisan divide. what is happening on the hill with the farce of an impeachment hearings it is a mob lynching type of situation. jesse: when you speak to the mainstream media reporters opposite or off the record and say you are making a huge deal about something the president said, well, you guys in the media have said the same thing or max seen waters said the same thing, and you guys are always asking. transparency. you are the least transparent people out there. why doesn't the media want to see what's going on in those secret hearings. do they listen to you, or do they continue to lie and spin? >> i have got a million points there. first of all i don't talk to them off the record anymore
5:07 pm
because off the record doesn't mean anything to the press. they break it. we have people fired at the white house because they have broken off the record. in terms of transparency, that's a joke. they want to shine sunlight and spotlights into the darkest corners of government but they are letting all these impeachment inquiries and hearings happen behind' closed doors. their answer to that is they know donald trump so well they seem to know what context he is and they throw around the word racist and that's all that matters to him. prior to getting into politics, i did think people who talked about the mainstream media sound a little nuts. but now that i am in politics and i see it with my own eyes, i see it with my own eyes and the american people are not being

you on a lot more. republicans fed up with adam schiff's secret impeachment trial are taking matters intheir own hands. he stormed their way into another closed door interview. matt, you bring your guys in there, all hell breaks loose. have you shamed the democrats into opening this up or not? >> we hope we have had the opportunity to bring light to the inequities that exist in this system. we have no due process for this president even what was afforded president clinton. jesse: we remember when they didn't care about her secret server with classified information. they said all this classified information that can't get out. a lot of hypocrisy sit would seem to me.
5:11 pm
>> i try to avoid that hypocrisy by being critical of democrats and republicans who wants closed door meetings. when there were secret interviews into the hillary clinton' email investigation. i stormed in then and they asked me to leave. i am and advocate for transparency no matter who is holding the gavel. jesse: the media has twisted this thing. you have cohen, the congressman eating a bucket of fried chicken. you have adam schiff reading a fake transcript. that's another stunt. the media glamourized the democrats when they did the sit-in on guns. >> ordinary sit-in on the house floor stretches into the early
