are the firefighters making any progress at all? >> reporter: it certainly seems firefighters are making progress in san bernardino and to the north inventory the county, just started at 6:30 local time and in a matter of hours, already burned 5000 acres, 7500 people under mandatory evacuation and firefighters are dealing with strong santa ana wind gusts and single digit humidity. firefighters believe the fire will run out of fuel and have a maximum blueprint of 12,000 acres. they say santa ana winds fueling it will subside by midday. >> that is our goal and our intention is to keep it there. we are actively engaged in structure protection as well as protecting the agricultural assets with the avocado and citrus orchard which have

heather: what was your reaction watching that exchange? >> i was disgusted. the last few times i testified it wasn't about getting to the truth or passing legislation. it was about attacking men and women serving this administration. it is a sham, political theater at its worst. these hearings are nothing but political theater. what is really sad is witnesses like ken cuccinelli doing a fantastic job, he is under oath and they are not, they work for us. they should answer our questions. the american people would enjoy that. then they could hear what little congress has done to address the immigration issue. heather: we should set that up and air it. i know you are ready. thanks for joining us. have a great weekend.

are fair-minded it confirms a partisan effort. kevin mccarthy indicated, adam schiff and jerry nadler. and bipartisan support. they have been called out what the state of play is. heather: what do you think they should do or will do? >> i don't know what they should do? i would like to think there would be a recognition is not in the best interest to travel down that road and get on with this and concentrate on the 2020 campaign. what we will have if there is any meddling in the election, a partisan attack by the progressive wing of the

democratic party with the ascent and acquiescence of leadership to proceed down the path of impeachment to damage the president's reelection prospects. that is not in the country as best interests. it is not for me to decide. it is for the country to decide. i hope the country sees this for what it is. what i think will happen is there will be articles of impeachment that will pass the house judiciary committee and on to the united states senate. when that happens, promised to likely be before thanksgiving, now that doesn't seem to be the case but it is not clear to me it will happen before the end of the year but at some point the senate will have to take the matter up. heather: you know what you're speaking about because you have been through this before. can you compare this to 1998? this is revisionist history to say it was in any way similar to procedures, the process that happened in the past? >> you can focus on the process

but it the start i would like to focus on the substance of this. this is impeachment in search of a crime. much of what the discussion is by the democratic party doesn't ever work its way around to high crimes and misdemeanors, treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors, it starts with abuse of power argument. the difference between this one and 1998 is you didn't have to search far to be able to understand in connection with the clinton impeachment there were crimes that were set forth in the impeachment referral and no one was left to wonder what those crimes were, perjury and instruction of justice. this one -- it is the opposite. they have yet to establish or substantiate how this would rise to the level of bribery or extortion or campaign-finance violation of law, they are avoiding the issue because that is not what they want to talk about. it is abuse of power. that is another way of saying

where do we draw the line for free speech. here is video columnist stephanie hamel and sports lawyer anthony hall. we appreciate it. let's begin with you. which side of the aisle do you fall on this? >> i am an advocate first amendment person, i do think this is the right move considering the mood of the country and where we have been the last 2 or 3 years with regard to election interference that has been well documented in 2016. foreign interference was done on platforms like twitter and facebook so because of that i agree with the private company, we have a right to say we won't have these ads on our company for our site. i think it is a smart move.

heather: what do you think? >> this is an attack on free speech and i think this is another attempt by twitter to censor conservatives. i was looking at the numbers, an article that laid out how much money the democrat candidate spends on twitter ads and if all the democrat candidates combined, they've not spent as much as donald trump. twitter was looking at how they could tackle this. also on facebook donald trump's campaign has spent $20 million on facebook ads and the top democrats didn't get close to $5 million. i will point out in 2012 barack obama's campaign spent $50 million on social media altogether and everyone praised him. he was a social media genius. i find the timing of this curious and the silence from democrats curious because this will affect lesser-known

candidates. this is something they need to speak against. heather: i will get your response to this was the political ad comparisons she was referencing, facebook, political ads. on twitter just 3 million in 2018 and since the differences by democrats and what is being sent by republicans, does that have a lot to do with it? >> possibly. what this has done is put pressure, we know what mark zuckerberg has been through and we know the scrutiny he has been under and this puts more pressure on him. stephanie has a good point. i do think may be there are some underpinnings to this situation
