death of 9 americans in mexico. rob: griff jenkins with the latest this morning. >> reporter: possible major developments, reports out of mexico that an arrest has been made from sonora justice department posting to their facebook pages. fox news is working to confirm or as we learn about this horrific massacre. according to a relative who spoke with fox news, three wives departed the mormon community just outside town. one vehicle gets a flat. the other suvs return to town, after dropping the men they continue on their journey only to drive up and over a mountain and into an ambush. a hail of bullets from arrival cartel. we learn of one good story, a 13-year-old boy who survived walks 5 miles to get help, protecting the surviving

year prison sentence. rob: and ms 13 gang member will spend four years behind bars after illegally reentering the country and sexually assaulting a minor. walter martinez following assault convictions and leaving the scene of an accident. the el salvador and man returned to the us and was arrested again for sexual misconduct in 2014. the department of corrections released him to the feds in january. the man accused of a shooting at a college homecoming party is released from jail. brandon gonzalez was charged with capital murder after two people were killed at an off-campus party, the sheriff's office says they have new evidence in the case. they refusing to cooperate is want the attorney to drop all charges. jillian: the white house lately newly released testimony from key witnesses in the impeachment push. rob: the us ambassador to the eu is revising his original statement in an interesting way. the former us envoy to ukraine

jillian: election day across several states. republican lieutenant governor read defeating jim hood in the race for mississippi governor, donald trump congratulating read who he endorsed a rally last week but his support may not have worked in kentucky. democratic attorney general andy bashir claiming victory over republican incumbent matt bevan though the race is too close to call. in virginia democrats taking control of the state legislature for the first time in 20 years. rob: not all high profile elections are wrapped up, donald trump hitting the campaign trail for a final push in louisiana governor's race. the president stumping for republican looking to unseat the democrat, john bell edwards in the runoff election. activists plan to hold a separate rally but the event was canceled due to a lack of law enforcement resources. jillian: people in the big apple

the mexican criminal cartels control everything, no alien smuggling or drug smuggling occurs. approving the plan. they are pushing family units, moving bed people and drugs to the other area. they control the border on northern mexico. rob: the violence in this country is a joke and it gets worse and worse. if you look the number the murders are up almost 5%. there have been 17,000 killings in mexico since july. that is about 100 every single day. the president doesn't really want our country's help with this. do you think he can handle it on his own? >> now, he had can't. law enforcement in mexico is corrupt. i know that for decades working on the border.

they need our help and expertise. the fbi and homeland security investigations, they can dismantle these organizations by attacking their transportation infrastructure, their financial infrastructure. once you attack their money you can dismantle the organization. jillian: a lot of people make the argument we have a lot of drugs, got across the border and through ports but why should people be concerned about the violence going on their? >> several reasons. violence will cross to the united states. we have a demand problem. we have to stop the demand but while there is a demand drugs will come across and violence will always be part of the drug trade. there is something else no one is talking about. as the violence continues to increase this put at risk our border numbers because border states are at 56% right now but

once a court determines mexico is no longer a safe country, the remain in mexico program, waiting for their hearings that is going to end, mexican nationals claiming asylum. once that gets out of control mexico is not a safe third country and border numbers skyrocketing so we can told people in mexico to wait for their hearings. once the word gets out the numbers explode to the border. rob: with the nine that were just killed we are up to 27 americans killed in mexico in 2019. when you see a story like we are seeing right now and you see kids brutally killed, does that help people to understand how serious this is? does that swing people who thought the president's rhetoric was too much or maybe he has a point? this was by the southern border. >> i hope so but in the last few months, horrific stories to

history buff and you know everything about history. for those people who aren't, when you were doing the research for this book and you did so much, you shot stories in the summer for this. how much information is things you learned that i didn't even know that? >> there are three main stops, the vikings built it, if you go to this area there is the alamo which is packed every day. it has historians who tell their story and provide material for the story and in these locations it doesn't add up. george p bush is the land commissioner and has the original documents, how the property was divided up. each stop gave me more information and it was fought nation that sent me to the alamo, this could be great for fox nation but it is proud ground for the alamo. wait a second. if i tell you what led up to it, maybe i have something different.

deal to fix the problem with china? >> two things. will we get a china deal? it is likely we will get a deal that will ease tensions and pull back on tariffs that hit consumer goods at this time of year, tv and coffee tables and so forth. i doubt that will resolve it more completely. it is more like a christmas cease-fire on mash. it is important to understand what it is. what will sink into business, a permanent situation disengaging from china gradually and once they get that through their heads they will invest in new places and do it inefficiently. part of the problem with china was so much unemployment. that growth is going to spread around to places like mexico and vietnam and america.

those people buy from us when they saw from us, the chinese don't. jillian: talk about the numbers, the dow up 30 points on tuesday, on monday was up 115 points. significant increases. for months now people have been claiming a recession is near. how do people continue to make this argument nowadays? >> to the new york times -- something that has to happen. he predicted we were going to have a recession because he was elected. that mentality pervades the economics profession today. rob: there is some credit to the idea that the cycle we are in is not going to last forever, we are going to slow down. jillian: people are claiming it is here ever since - >> has my mother would say piano, piano. we used to have a business cycle that was a built in clock, manufacturing and agricultural economy. we are 70%, 80% services.

economies like that don't have the same inventory cycles they did that the manufacturing economy and did. ever consequence we get a recession when somebody does something dumb. elizabeth warren getting it miraculously congress puts through her legislation with regard to private equity and 6% wealth tax. that will give you a recession. if we have a war in the middle east and the flow of oil gets cut off that will give you a recession but there is nothing that says we will get a recession like spring is going to come and the economy is changing and as it goes through its changes it absent flows but it doesn't have a natural cycle to go negative. rob: you have an op-ed on warren's healthcare plan of the taxes she wishes to use to pay
