impeaching, removing a president from office when you have hearsay testimony, people who heard things second or third hand and don't have the opportunity to hear from the person who started it all. in a criminal trial for shoplifting you would have the ability to hear from the accuser, and the actual incident, we are not getting any of that. it doesn't exist, what law protects the whistleblower's identity. certainly whistleblower statutes protect the whistleblower from reprisals but not from having their identity named especially when talking about criminal or quasi criminal proceedings that flow from that information, violates every american notion of fundamental fairness and due process. heather: lieutenant colonel vindman said he spoke with the second individual from the intel community and also knew that he could not release that person's name.
