once again i really thought that was ironic we went to the entire debate with nothing said about black folks or race let me repeat's answer was poor. it really shows where we are and frustration with the democrat party. i've been saying this for years, whether he said or fox or msnbc or anywhere else, the fact is democrats have taken advantage of the black vote. >> kamala harris also spoke exclusively with peter doocy and mentioned several issues that are not being hit upon in these debates so far. did you think -- we will go to the next highlight in a moment, what did you think about the other candidates and how they handled people to judge in this particular debate because he's leading a couple polls now, new hampshire and iowa? >> for sure tulsi came with what she was looking for. pizza made it clear he came and already. i'm a veteran.

colleagues that are much more qualified technically to be president of the united states than mayor pete and thousands across the country that are but i do think there's a unique case to be made for local elected officials. local government is much less partisan, it's about solving people's problems. with how divided washington is the impeachment hearings just show this even more. there is a demand for local leaders who are less partisan and more problem-solving oriented to rise up in the ranks. that is what he's trying to appeal to but he's also having to appeal to the base of the far left at the same time so it is modeling that message to the american people. >> is not used to dealing with such a partisan divide on all the issues. if he were to make it to dc would he be able to deal with that? your thoughts? >> a lack of experience did not heard the last two people who became president of the united states, president obama the biggest thing they said was he came out of nowhere and had no experience and donald trump came out of nowhere, is a businessman, no experience. both have made their bases very happy so seems like mayor pete is in good company. he would not have the experience but make his voters quite happy. it would make sense. shannon: as you are both discussing mayor pete and his background i wanted to bring up

this graphic. he was the mayor of south bend, indiana since 2012, the first major lgbt queue candidate for president. and afghanistan war veteran which he mentioned several times last night, he won statewide election in a landslide. >> south bend is 100,000 people, relatively small. when talking about the economy of the united states with 350 million people there's a lot of issues, he has to show that he's got experience and ideas both economically and for national security that would qualify him to be president of the united states. he's playing out a decent case for it but he has also got to make the case for why he will bring the country together and i am much or he is doing that because he has to appeal to the democratic base to win in iowa and new hampshire.

heather: elizabeth warren was his over her medicare for all plan. here's a little back and forth between her and pete buttigieg. >> the reason i insist on medicare for all who wanted as a strategy. i believe commanding people to accept the option as senator warren proposes not the right approach. >> here's my plan. bring as many people in and get as much help to the american people as we can as fast as we can. shannon: perhaps unexpected. lots of the candidates raised objections to her medicare for all plan. joe biden, cory booker, and pete buttigieg. >> i talked to my sources about this on both sides of the aisle, they think it is a great plan. a plan people want to hear. warren was pretty genius with this plan but it is the cost that is hurting her.

impeachment was one of the first questions asked in the debate and we will get back to that in a moment but let's talk about the impeachment hearing. gordon sondland stunning both sides of the aisle after his historic testimony in the impeachment investigation. what are the key questions he did answer and which questions should he have answered? here to break it down, former principal -- prosecutor joins us again. thank you for joining us. let's go through quickly some specific interactions with the president. did the president directly tell you that the military was tied to the ukrainians announcing the investigation? listen to his answer. >> was there a quid pro quo? the answer is yes. donald trump never told me directly that the aid was conditioned. the aid was my own personal

or to catch it but ambassador sondland said donald trump said tell him, the ukrainian leader it will be good news and that was in august. jillian: more military aid including legal aid. when sondland said credibility was shaky going into this based on his testimony, why did you change your testimony? here is his answer. >> having access to state department materials would have been very helpful to me in trying to reconstruct with whom i spoke and met and when and what was said. in the absence of these materials my memory admittedly has not been perfect. >> this is my biggest complaint of all. in the real world if somebody changes their testimony everybody argues back and forth

attorneys for navy seal eddie gallagher are slamming atop military admiral for lunch and review to potentially strip gallagher of his trident pen. the inspector general, they accuse the admiral of defining donald trump's order to restore gallagher's rank. it was introduced after gallagher was convicted of posing with the debt isis fighter's body while deployed in iraq. the doj inspector general's report on fisa abuse will be released december 9th according to senate judiciary committee chairman lindsey graham. the justice department watchdog is looking at alleged surveillance as the fbi investigated possible ties between russia and the trump campaign. michael horowitz before the senate committee two days after his report is released. democrats duking it out on the debate stage but it was this
