this point in time, we've all heard about the sunday deadline before the white house must declare its intention to participate in the proceedings. then, how about december 6th?he that's the deadline for the white house introduced evidence and witnesses. 9 and the committee gets a chance to consider the matter. the white house white house is greatly concerned that what happened with adam schiff, and they say as they have said repeatedly this will be grossly unfair process. the committee chair gets a chance to approve or disapprove of them. but this phase should be a little bit different in that the g.o.p. should have more levers to pull in the process. as they have noted repeatedly,

matter. once unfolded though has been in on seriousness that we seen. at the same time when we think about the possibilities constitutionally, that's no real requirement that they send this to the senate when they are done. is it possible, if it's not a censure -- and governor granholm had mentioned this,, that the just hold onto it. what do you think we can expects >> actually if the house impeach the president, which is pretty much -- if a president is impeached it will go to the senate. the constitutional architecture here, he goes to the senate for trial. i certainly expect that the president would be acquitted but the question really is, in what format that would take place in the senate. opefully there are some

accounts like the obstruction count which is so specious, but he's insisting on his constitutional prerogatives to withhold witnesses and documentary evidence. most things couldn't go down to the trial but i'm actually looking forward to it because it would put immigrants back down the trail. >> i think that is part of their nervousness, about losing control of this because then it's in the hands of the senate and the president will have an actual opportunity and his defenders with make things. but listen if you could to what former solicitor general neal cattrall said about republicans, insisting that this entire process is unfair. >> they are just trying to attack the process and i think the attacks on the process are kind of silly. they are saying we have rights of a criminal defendant, but that's because we are at the

but the way they unfold in this process, unfortunately they are sending a president that trivializes, vocalizes impeachment. and as many things that have happened in our history in the past, the problem is we depend on counsel and i'm afraid it will reset some of our baselines. it's not just the process that's about it, the fact that they are trying to impeach the president -- foreign affairs, dealing with the ukraine, like it or dislike it. >> tammy: i think this says it all, what representative nadler was saying about the impeachment and why it was necessary. let's listen to that for a second. >> personally i think the president should be impeached. impeachment is imperative not because heov would be removed fm office, the senate don't doesn't that >> tammy: they are doing

something they haven't convinced anyone else about and yet they say they are doing it for the constitution. that action is an affront to the constitution. >> one important point that david makes very well is this has been a moving target the entire time. when this first came out, and most certainly they had convicted before they ever heard the evidence. before the first witness testified, everybody, the democrat side was ready. then it became a quid pro quo and then bribery. and when that pulled poorly apparently, then they started to say abuse of office. it's ridiculous. a person ought to know especially in this context what the charges are, what the facts are and there ought to be something other than just one side pursuing it. >> tammy: this is an extraordinary time especially with nadler who is the chair of the judiciary committee who is supposed to be now looking at the evidence to assess it, and
