hearing calling it highly partisan inquiry. and president trump as blasting democrats rescheduling the hearing while he is meeting with our nato allies at a summit in london. we have team fox coverage, chief white house correspondent john roberts in london but first, mike emanuel reporting live for us on capitol hill. what are we expecting on wednesday? >> it will be in the judiciary committee with experts looking at the constitutional and historical relevance of impeachment, but the panel's top republican says he doesn't have much more than that. >> we are going to have an academic hearing on wednesday which we don't even know who their witnesses are yet. we don't even know how to prepare. we asked for fairness and have not got an answer back on that. this is another slideshow. >> on the other side, senate judiciary democrats as a little historical context is helpful. >> i see it simply as a global

president to have a lawyer present evidence was in the initial hearing. that was denied to him and therefore this has been a completely partisan process in the process has really been broken. he really can't fix it now. >> trace: i want to get jerrold nadler, the house judiciary chair on record here. he said this if i could put this on the screen just a short time ago, late last night the president and his counsel turned down her invitation to participate in wednesday's hearing. his response is unfortunate because allowing the president to participate has been a priority to the house from the outset. the american people deserve transparency. the president thinks the call was perfect and there was nothing to hide, then he would turn over the thousands of pages of documents requested by congress, allow witnesses to testify instead of blocking testimony baseless privilege claims and provide any exculpatory information that refutes the overwhelming evidence of his abuse of power." your thoughts on that, congressman.

>> trace: of school resource officer got a classroom of students to safety before he exchanged gunfire with another student to refuse to drop his gun. that's according to "milwaukee journal sentinel," this happened about 15 miles west of milwaukee. police say the suspect was the only one hurt and that he is currently in custody, the building now safe and secure. nashville police say they're on the hunt for four dangerous teenagers who escaped from a juvenile potential center over the holiday weekend. among the fugitives, accused of killing the lead singer of a local rock band. >> describing these teams is extremely dangerous, two of them are accused of murder, two of them are accused of armed robbery. this all happened at 9:40 p.m. in downtown nashville at a juvenile detention center.

>> trace: new laws on reporting sex abuse could leave the catholic church on the hook for billions more in payouts. journalists who interviewed more than a dozen lawyers and clergy abuse watchdog groups of the big ones. this week, new jersey will open as to your window for survivors to report abuse even if the statute of limitations has passed. the three year time frame starts in january but church leaders say since many of these claims are from so long ago and most of the accused priests are dead, it would be very hard to find out exactly what happened. a breaking news investigative reporter at the associated press wrote the story coming you've got attorneys now in various states soon to be new jersey running ads looking for potential victory. >> the analogy may be bad but it's like the asbestos cases. all of these lawyers are piling

on now because suddenly, eight states have opened called windows allowing these lawsuits, it is allowing these victims to file suit. >> trace: these are the eight states and the look back window which means a statute of limitations, there is none and they are new jersey, new york, california, montana, hawaii, north carolina, arizona, but we are talking about billions of dollars. the last thing the catholic church wants is for these cases to go to trial. is that a fair assessment? remake that is fair. so one lawyer i spoke to who was unsure whether the payouts would be 2 billion, 4 billion, if that is more than the catholic church has paid to date and if you ask victims, but that one said the x factor is trials. will the catholic church fight these and will the plaintiffs go all the way to trial?

flights canceled, 400 delays and we will see what that means tonight as well. i want to send things over to my colleagues over in laguardia in new york. >> thank you, molly. what we're seeing here is a lot of traffic coming into the airport, let alone all the delays. we have to wait 30 minutes according to some taxi drivers just to get here, they track flights. they are saying that now laguardia is the worst airport when it comes to flight delays across the country, followed by new york and new jersey and o'hare. unfortunately for all those travelers, what we're seeing today is 4,000 delays in 600 cancellations. i spoke to some passengers about their experience thus far, listen in. >> it's been interesting. i came from columbus and that was delayed a little bit.
