not the medium of, we simply seek the truth. guess what, let not your heart be troubled, laura ingraham is next. >> laura: i'm laura ingraham and this is "the ingraham angle" from washington tonight. the white house rightly smelled a rat, telling nadler and the judiciary committee they will not participate in monday's show trial. republican judiciary committee member tom mcclintic is here with reaction. also tonight, shocking reports claim adam schiff scooped up 3,500 phone records during his impeachment inquiry. that's all? how may members of the press and the g.o.p. did he snoop on? and why isn't this thing investigated? sara carter is here, she is all over that issue, plus nancy's televised breakdown, and which famous actress thinks climate change will force us to actually eat our pets.
11:01 pm
raymond arroyo has all of it in friday follies but first, the last laugh. that's the focus of tonight's angle. when president trump was mocked by canadian prime minister justin trudeau this week at the nato meeting, of course our press ate it up. see, we are not respected in the world. >> they were essentially laughing at the u.s. president there. that's remarkable. imagine getting laughed off an entire continent. this is how they talk about our president. >> when people are laughing at you, that means you are the joke, the brunt of a joke right there. >> that's going to be haunting the president at least through saturday night live this week. >> wrong. wrong, wrong, wrong. >> laura: i wonder if justin is still laughing. >> we are covering this breaking news that the canadian economy is shedding more than

70,000 jobs in the month of november. this is the largest jump in the unemployment rate when you look at sort of monthly performances since 2009. >> laura: not doing so while there in canada. we want you to do better but no. remember french president emmanuel macron was also there giggling alongside trudeau, but perhaps he should have been taking care of business at home. >> the situation in france is unsustainable. you have employment at nearly 9%. huge unfunded pension liability this is absolutely unsustainable. >> of course british prime minister boris johnson hosted the nato soiree and was also having a good time. too bad the same cannot be said for his own middle-class. the u.k. economy is in the worst shape since 2010 and things are not any better in italy. here's yesterday's headline. italy's economic growth of such remain weak in near term. but germany is doing better right? here's what things look like
11:03 pm
there, created german orders resume credit defying hope for a factory rebound. so maybe that's why merkel also looks like she's sat on a pinecone especially when she's next to trump. after japan thinks aren't any better there. japan's economic troubles offered a glimpse of a sobering future. i'm showing you all of this because every day, american workers should think the good lord that we have a president who actually gets it. we have a tight labor market that means wages are going up. we have more deregulation that frees up businesses to grow and hire and gives them a lot of incentive. we have lower taxes, that means you keep more of your own money to spend it as you see fit. the democrats, they don't trust your judgment. they want more control over almost every major decision you make. they are also of course trying to impeach a president on nothing during one of our
11:04 pm
greatest economies in the past half-century. >> 256,000 jobs in november. that blows away expectations, we don't take any glee in this at all. it's heartbreaking, but the president gave us no choice. >> this is the best thing i've ever seen in my life, you can't contradict that these are the best number we've seen in our lives. >> i speak for my colleagues when i say that we do not take this lightly. >> everyone should be thrilled with this praise to get to great jobs number has let this market go from strong to better. >> we do not delay when the integrity of the next election is still at risk. >> this is a good number for a reelection. >> laura: well, this dissonance here -- amazing economic news and glum morose, horrified democrats. they want to impeach this economy. i'm glad the white house
11:05 pm
dismissed democrats' 5:00 p.m. deadline for cooperating on impeachment today. why do i find it hard to take pelosi, nadler, schiff seriously? because they are fundamentally unserious people. bloomberg gave it all up yesterday in an interview. they know they can't win with biden in the game. that's why he jumped in. their entire 2020 campaign strategy consists of one word impeachment. they are just not serious about working on important issues that could actually improve your life, not usmca, not prescription drugs, not infrastructure, despite pelosi's claims to the contrary. >> we have 275 bills that we must legislate, investigate, and litigate. >> laura: she should have added regurgitate, okay? it's the same thing over and over again. it's a farce! in 2018, moderate democrats
11:06 pm
campaigned on this idea that they would work with the president on key issues but they have only worked to out him. they should all be talked out. none of the 2020 democrats argue that they can do a better job on the economy. they can't. they don't even really try anymore. when they are not pushing a totally baseless impeachment they are catering to groups like planned parenthood, the nea care, and of course the e.u. who by the way loves them because the e.u. can play them. this has been a phenomenal week for the president and for the country. he was derided by the elites on the international stage and by academics on the domestic stage and he ended it with a sako economic report that is the envy of the world. the democrats aren't mad because president trump and his policies aren't working. they are leaving because they are. i'm not sad for them and our carnival act of a party but for
11:07 pm
the rest of us, we are to keep working hard and playing hard. we are going to be counting our blessings and staying focused on what really matters, especially this time of the year. it's faith, family, and our country. that's the angle. here to respond, tom bevan cofounder and president of real third politics and scott rasmussen, poster and editor at large of validopedia. tom, how would you americans way impeachment against today's -- i mean, this off the chart job numbers? >> it's a reminder of how resilient and great is economy is and you just pointed out how it relates and is relative to the rest of the world. if these numbers continue, we haven't seen this kind of economy in the last half-century so it's obviously -- it's still the number one issue on the minds of voters in 2020. donald trump's approval rating on the economy is ten points
11:08 pm
higher than his overall approval at 53% so when you step back and take a broader look, the president run for reelection will under this kind of impeachment prosperity, that usually when reelections. >> laura: when you look at these other countries that are limping along and they kind of look down their noses at the united states, i just howled because i was actually here during the second reagan term when the same kind of smearing condescending attitude was heard and felt over in europe whether the president was traveling through berlin or to paris wherever it was, he was going to blow up the world, he was sleeping in the afternoon, he was stupid, he was an actor, you know, the whole chimp joke and they were ridiculing and so i think this is a great thing for trump especially with our economy. not just because it's a cycle
11:09 pm
but because he freed up the businesses to do their investments prayed sorry, that's a long question but i have a lot on my mind. >> i'm sure there's a few questions and they are but it's not just people overseas that are making fun of the president there are a lot of people in the reagan years and today who said these policies can't possibly work. how can the economy get better than it was under barack obama? well, the reality is it has gotten better. the economy is in great shape right now. it is the envy of the world and the economy matters far more to voters and to people in their everyday lives than anything that is going on in washington, d.c., at this moment. >> laura: there was a question thrown at pelosi last night at that cnn town hall about basically what if this whole thing doesn't work out great a watch. >> if you wake up the day after election day 2020 and the exit poll shows that impeaching president trump helped him get reelected, would you have any regrets? >> no. this is about patriotism.
11:10 pm
it's not about partisanship. it's about honoring our oath of office. >> this is not a comedy show but i feel like it is when i'm watching that sound bite. this is not about politics at all. politics -- but then said the poll numbers for supporting impeachment like 5 minutes after that. because she was not in favor of impeachment. she knows the politics of this but she was sort of forced into it and once she announced that there was going to be an inquiry, there was no turning back. they are on this tiger and they are going to ride it and they are going to suffer the consequences of it and so there was a story today about the vulnerable democrats in the house who are hoping to get past this as fast as they cancel they can focus on other things so you know, we will have to see how this works out but i think nancy pelosi is smart enough to know what the politics of this are. that's why she was against it to begin with and so she's now for it. >> laura: joe biden was out there chastising the media over

11:12 pm
between them and there's a lot of distrust and every president or candidate -- kamala harris the latest among them, is having trouble bridging that gap. >> laura: don't you think because they have x number of followers it's all going to work out? they live inside of the social media universe which is fine but it's not really real life. >> i think there is a lot to that. that's where the progressive activists are the loudest and have the biggest voice and they can have the mobs that attack when any of these candidates are a step out of line of party orthodox and so they are all using social media to try to connect with these voters and so it makes it very tough for these candidates to do what scott just mentioned, which is they need to appeal to certainly the ranking file but they also need to reach out and bridge that gap with moderate voters and folks in the middle and they are really doing that right now. >> laura: it's a mess. gentlemen, great to see you both tonight. thank you so much. as we mentioned, the white house announced today it is refusing to participate in the democrats impeachment proceedings.
11:13 pm
white house counsel patrick maloney writing house democrat have wasted enough of america's time. adopting articles of impeachment would be a reckless abuse of power by house democrats and would constitute the most unjust highly partisan and unconstitutional attempt at impeachment in our nation's history. during the now, what are house republicans planning for monday? >> just to make the case. there is no evidence that supports the charges and in my personal opinion, it's a good thing that the biden's activities in the ukraine be investigated. it's a good thing it's a good thing that ukrainians interventions in the -- >> laura: it's a conspiracy theory and you are saying this is part of the russian disinformation campaign? that's what's been repeated over and over again. >> but it's not a theory.

alexander toluca, the dnc investigator, was involved deeply with ukrainian embassy. nellie ohr fusion gps, whose husband was the intermediary bringing the steele dossier, the phoney steele dossier into a critical investigation, admitted an testimony in sworn testimony that she had gone some of the information -- >> laura: see how they operate? they brand something a conspiracy and there are conspiracies and there are things that are just not true and that's fine, we will find those out, but they are just actually legitimate questions, they brush them off because they involve the biden's. >> the biden's and clinton administration and the obama administration got away with a great many things that should have been. >> laura: you are a congressman from california and in a heartbreaking way, orange county, which i remember the first time i remember when the
11:15 pm
1980s, i thought i had died and gone to heaven, the most beautiful place but it's now democrat dominated as it is most of the state of california. the republicans have a chance of winning their seats back in orange county because these democrats that are not working with the president. >> that's the whole point and i think that is going to be true across the country. you got a lot of democrats who campaigned as moderates. we are going to reach across the aisle and we are going to be problem solvers and people are now starting to realize those are the very democrats who have enabled the radical left to seize control of the house and put the country through what is going through right now. >> laura: so the answer is yes, you think the republicans can flip back those seats? >> i think it's going to be very hard for any democratic claim they are moderate. >> laura: congressman, chuck todd today described in bizarre terms how you and other republicans defending the president are conducting yourselves. watch. >> as it turns out, it may not be the substance of their argument but rather the
11:16 pm
repetition of it that matters. a recent study found that when people are exposed to the same false information multiple times, they become numb to it. so even if they know the information is false, it just doesn't sort of register that way anymore. the more we see fake news, look the less fake it becomes. just disinformation a danger to democracy. >> we have heard russia for years and when it was investigated with millions of dollars, 22 months and all of mueller's investigators, they could find no evidence to support that and yet the democrats continue to report and repeat that lies so chuck todd is right in that respect but he's pointing his finger in the wrong direction. >> laura: great to see you congressman, thank you for being here. good luck next week. we will be wanting to stay right there. sara carter is here and moments with damaging details. adam schiff embracing apparently the surveillance state to survey
11:17 pm
11:20 pm
11:21 pm
>> laura: democrats used to oppose domestic spying but now they are actually hardly embracing it. we showed you last night how house into a chair adam schiff abused his power to dig up dirt on his rival ranking member devin nunes. instead of repudiating his conduct, democrats are standing by the schiff's tactics much are more nefarious than we thought. not only did schiff get dirt

from the secret subpoenas that he sent a phone companies, he also got help from the nsa. all americans should be shocked by this and more and demand a joining us down, sara carter host of the sara carter show podcast, and fox news contributor. would have you heard? >> i've heard the same and we should be shocked by this because this is the expansion into our congressional and could do my committee. it will be learned before three years ago when we discussed the expansion of the nsa under the obama administration and how they allowed for basically spying on attorneys, spying on clergy, this is incredible. spying on privileged journalists -- because they didn't give a base other than the fact that it was national security related but remember these are counterintelligence investigations. expensive investigations in the obama administration did do more spying and more leaking
11:23 pm
investigations than any other -- unmasking of americans but now we are seeing adam schiff has taken us to the next level. we have never seen this before in congress and what he did is he took the phone records of rudy giuliani, he took the phone records and what he did was then expanded that. you put it out into the report and used all of the secondary contacts that he wanted exposed. >> laura: he got help from at&t and he got help from someone else in the government. >> obsolete. that is exactly what i've been hearing too for my sources and we have to get to the bottom of this. congress needs to investigate this. >> laura: i know we have a lot of important business to do but you can't let this stuff stand you cannot do it. >> this was the problem with the fisa investigation. >> laura: we are hearing also the ig report, and i said as all
11:24 pm
along, conservatives should not put a lot of hope in this ig report like it's going to be a manna from heaven because a lot of the more out there theory is about what it's going to be uncovered, they are basically leaking it. >> remember, he is going to present an administrative review. that's what an ig report is whatever he has access to and he doesn't have a lot of access, not like john duran. he can't fly to italy, he can't subpoena documents, he can't subpoena witnesses. >> laura: he's going to camp out on the idea of a deep state fall which we are going to reserve judgment. eric swalwell by the way did try to defend what schiff was doing. let's watch. >> no member of congress, no staff, and no journalist had their call records subpoenaed. it happened that people who did have their call records subpoenaed were talking to devin nunes. it looks like devin nunes may have been a part of the

what are we doing by allowing these people to train and use our expensive equipment and put our men and women at risk? we can't be doing this. we have to understand and take care of our americans first. i love that we have allies who want to train with us and deal with us and work with us but we have got to take care of american citizens first. >> this is what the base captain said today, senator. let's listen. >> we have students from several different countries that come here and they learn aviation and they become aviators while they are here. there's always been international students training here and it's a good place to train and is good quality training. >> how many international students you have practiced >> i can't speak to the exact number of international students. a couple hundred. >> laura: a couple hundred? is that appropriate? i mean the king says that the saudi people love us. the wahhabis don't love us

signifies as all censorship does, is that if somebody doesn't toe the line of unwritten rules, they will be punished. the trump campaign was very successful using targeting and other tools that are openly available in the google so allows and the contacts in 2016 and that they were abruptly changing these rules recently is obvious. >> laura: dr. epstein, has been a little about this. we have all of these liberals -- when i grew up, liberals meant free speech. you are not for limiting speech even when it's inconvenient or it speech you a poor but now we have a lot of so-called liberals who are fine with limiting speech under the guise of we want to -- we only want truthful ads. >> i'm certainly not a conservative or a trump supporter, but i've been speaking out on these issues because i've been doing research on the power that google and other companies have to shift

the opinions and votes for more than six years now and the power they have is unbelievable and generally speaking, they have no limits on what they can do and they can shift 15 million votes in 2020 with no one knowing that they are doing it and without leaving a paper trail for authorities to trace. >> laura: again, i go back to liberals. dr. epstein is not political but he sees the power and the sheer size and reach and monetary platform, controlled that google has but i mean he's right about this. why should a company decide what is true and false when it comes to this type of political speech? >> these companies put together controlled digital advertising marketing and there is a monopoly situation and the united states of department of justice really needs to step up and accelerate their efforts here because we will lose our speech. this type of thing is common in china where google and probably facebook is trying to expand

their reach, but it's not common in america yet and it should never be allowed here and so we really need to be vigilant about this regardless of who is speaking. >> i set up monitoring systems in both 2016 and 2018 to see political bias and put it on my google search results. there was substantial political bias, left-leaning, and both elections, enough to have shifted at least 2.6 million votes to hillary clinton in 2016 and in 2018, enough to have shifted upwards of 78.2 million votes to democrats nationwide. that spread across many elections but the point is, that bias is there and i think frankly if we don't have a big monitoring system in place to see what they are showing people in the months leading up to this next election, the democrats are going to sweep the election with the help of big tech and we will never even realize that this happened.

>> laura: finally on this dr. epstein is right. i'm much more profound type and pernicious type of meddling in our own electoral process from within. that's a lot of votes. >> he's 100% correct and i mean members of congress are functionally illiterate when it comes to these type of issues. you've seen these in the hearings of zuckerberg and others or that they are bought off or both and their stats are even worse and there is a revolving door. i'm sounding the alarm. this is a crisis and republicans and conservatives need to wake up and smell the coffee. this is not about libertarian philosophy, this is about our future as a country. >> the antitrust division at the department of justice, is anybody home? my question, is anybody home? because is a lot that can be done on this floor and there's a lot that can be done with these insurance companies that's a whole different discussion for health insurance. dr. epstein, harmeet, thank you so much. fascinating conversation tonight. we have a lot more to get to. all right, don't go away. a delivery man was caught on
11:59 pm
>> laura: it's friday night an >> friday night,d time for the last bite. usually when someone is caught on tape the results are shocking. what happens when a deliveryman was caught on tape in wilmington, delaware? >> this is nice! wow! this is sweet! oh, wow! this is sweet! this is so nice! >> he took a lot of those goodies. good for him.
