of democrats continue to move the goalposts? here to break it down is chief counsel for the senate intelligence committee. we appreciate you joining us this morning. what do you think of this? would this be a good idea for democrats to call witnesses? >> i don't think it makes a lot of sense. the reality is the president of the administration will fight giving of these close witnesses, the president, chief of staff, national security adviser, the chance of testifying are small, it will stretch the process out and the thing is democrats in the house have been in charge of this investigation since day one so they have gotten all the witnesses they went up to the point where the president said no so they have all the evidence in the house and they will present that evidence to the senate so there will be information presented from the prosecution about claims being made. >> we can bring up that witness

list, those mentioned by chuck schumer so far that you mentioned, mick mullaney, john bolton, robert blair, michael duffy. why would they want these particular witnesses? >> i think they want to prove the president was doing something untoward, there was some issue with what was going on in that phone call but we know what is on the phone, we have the transcript, the testimony of a number of witnesses who heard about the phone call or were involved so we have a lot of information and we have mick mulvaney speaking publicly about his views of the phone call and the question of whether something was taking place. we have a lot in the public record so what is odd is in a lot of waste schumer is looking for witnesses. he knows republicans want witnesses, they want hunter biden, this might be never to push back on the effort to call hunter biden to testify. >> that was the next question. we can pull up this excerpt from schumer's letter to mcconnell where he references a conspiracy theory and his opinion that several of the witnesses that republicans have commented on contribute not to facts but

instead conspiracy theories. do you agree with him? >> the debate going on right now is what happened in the phone call and whether the president wanted to stop corruption in ukraine or looking for a political favor. if it was about corruption hunter biden comes a bit of chuck schumer is right and this is about extracting a political favor you get witnesses like john bolton or mick mullaney to testify but either side these are the issues and debates, if they don't have witnesses, if one side has witnesses the other side to call them too. shannon: let's move to our second topic. what do you expect to happen, horwitz in the hot seat again tomorrow. this will be another barnburner day of testimony.

>> that is exactly right. we saw horowitz testify for 5 hours before the senate judiciary committee, he laid out a pretty damning situation when it comes to the fbi's behavior particularly officials in the fbi. i was heavily involved in the fisa process of the justice department. i don't think the process is broken but huge errors were made, in particular not revealing that carter page was essentially a us government as working with the us government to give information about his contact with russian intelligence officers, that's a huge problem that information was not given and even in fbi attorney manipulated an email sent to another official to mislead that official, these are huge issues that need to be resolved. >> we have to go, we are out of time but any new information? >> we will see a lot more

since the election? >> the economy is doing well that is why the stock market is doing well and the prospects for next year x boeing are very good. we are looking at a 10% increase in profits for next year. according to facts, which is basically the primary source we go to 4 estimates of prophets and investors are doing interesting things. for example there shorting the market less, less hedging in a variety of ways, less fearful and i'm talking about institutional investors, not the heard outside the goes to schwab and watches cnn and sells. those people have been selling but institutional investors, many managers have been moving to cyclical stocks, those stocks that benefit from a bounce. things like the financial sector, banks, consumer products and so forth, they have been doing a lot better lately, this isn't just high-tech anymore.

now to business news. amazon blocking sellers from shipping prime packages with fedex right before the holidays. tracy carrasco is here to explain. >> amazon making this decision to no longer allow third-party sellers on amazon to use fedex ground shipping starting this week as we are ramping up for the busy holiday shipping season, this as we are seeing amazon and fedex in the midst of a breakup. fedex said it would stop and not renew the contract with amazon for its ground shipping or its regular delivery services but amazon saying they are making this move because they want to make sure customers get their packages on time. that the reason behind this, it is only going to affect the
