11:00 pm
[background noises] welcome to "watters world". i'm jussie waters. impeachment is the word tonight. >> it doesn't feel like we are being impeached. >> they call this impeachment. i'm having a good time. >> the craziest thing, trump is not even impeached. nancy is keeping the articles in her purse. she hasn't even sent them to the senate yet. when they get sent, then impeachment is official. she wants to play games. she wants to wait and squeeze a little more trauma out of this deal.
11:01 pm
she's afraid if she send these week articles, she's going to find him not guilty and be done with it all. nancy is making demands. mcconnell will have to run the trial her way or else. sounds like nancy is the one demanding a quid pro quo. not how this works. the speaker doesn't get to set the terms. the house investigates and the senate judges. she doesn't have any leverage. the democrats have already denied due process and now they are denying our right to a speedy trial. par for the course. i thought trump was a dire threat to democracy. he had to be impeached before he could bring the next election. i guess there's no emergency anymore. that's how you know it was pure politics. this was never about the constitution. nancy only cares about the pr of impeachment. she wants trump to be impeached but not acquitted. mcconnell called a bluff.
11:02 pm
they'll just keep confirming judges and plastic them. >> prosecutors are getting cold feet. in front of the entire country. second-guessing whether they even want to go to trial. the senate exists for moments like this. that's why this body has the ultimate say. >> game set match. nancy is so overrated. the president working, just look at the last few months. north american trade deal. china phase one, all those favorite. nato allies have been putting up more money. space barr scott funded. stock market records getting smashed. dozens of judges approved. helping democrats lost the case. as of today, more americans are against impeachment than for it.
11:03 pm
impeachment collapsed. trump approval ratings advocating all-time highs. higher than barack obama's was. at this time in his first term. this latest poll has trump getting every democrat head-to-head. just to give you a sense, take pennsylvania. during the height of the hearing successful, here's what people were searching for on google. the yellow and the green spikes there, those are steelers and eagles. at the bottom, that's red. that's impeachment. you don't care about political football, you care about the real thing. your new democrats just throwing a temper tantrum. nancy is out there shushing her members like moms do at church. >> article one is adopted.
11:04 pm
>> what a bad bunch of bad actors. stepping into the end zone. >> i'm on my way to the u.s. house floor. to impeach president trump. on be half of my incredible district. >> she was the one who said impeach them six months before the perfect phone call. the media couldn't contain itself either. here's the political team dinner. straight news reporters here. happy and toasting, pushing everybody a merry impeachments on the big night. they had to delete that. they wouldn't want anybody to think they were biased or anything. they tried to frame trump and kick him out. mother failed, impeachment
11:05 pm
failed now they are out of ammo. it's like a movie where the bad guy runs out of bullets. click, click. what are they going to do now? another dossier? another whistleblower? they don't have any cards left to play. only biden can save them now. would you want your fate in the be joe's hands? everything made him stronger. it's not about him, it's about you. the issues trump's fighting for. trump completely changed the republican party. he modernized it. injected populism into it. he's a post-cold war president. new trade terms, he dropped in america. new security deals in the pacific middle east and europe. he strengthened the border, low taxes, taking care of vet, law &
11:06 pm
order, honoring our flag, history and shared heritage. to help with political correctness. this message matza majority message. that message broke down blue wall and redrew the electoral college met. this terrifies democrats. it's a mortal threat to the national democrat party. it walked democrats out of the heartland in a coast only minority. now they are trying to take trump out because he stole their states. and their photos. he would do it again. it's about power with the democrats. you have it into they wanted to. that's what this is about. republican congressman mark meadows of north carolina. what you think about all of this? >> you are spot on. there's nothing serious about what nancy pelosi has done. other than the fact series about
11:07 pm
trying to get political advantage. you are pointing it out. they are not coming after donald trump. they are coming after every single person who voted for trump. as is all about making sure 233 democrats -- excuse me, 232 democrats will give the will of the people. there's also one other thing you need to point act. nancy pelosi wants to control what happens in the senate. she wants to bring the witness witnesses. i thought the whole case was unbelievably ironclad and beyond anything we could ever imagine and yet, she wants more witnesses because there's a flaw in the case she's already made. >> she's exposed herself by playing these games and it looks partisan and political. mcconnell will not put up with any of this. i don't know what's going on in
11:08 pm
the senate or how it will shake out but it's not going to shake out in nancy's favor. you walk around the halls of congress, you see your colleagues and nancy schiff another. what is the atmosphere right now in congress? >> a lot of the democrats were trying to put on this pr stuff. they are putting on black because for a lot of them, this is there political funeral. they are high-fiving in the hallways, it's a real democrat democratic, progressive district. the rest of them are very scared and they should be because the american people, the american people are seeing this. this is nothing more than a political stunt. mitch mcconnell is not going to listen to nancy pelosi and neither are the other 53 republicans over there. this is ultimately going to be decided by them in the american
11:09 pm
people and i can tell you, the american people are not buying the argument that nancy and her colleagues have put forth. >> is pretty selfish that they are out there high-fiving, fist bumping, celebrating because i don't see how nancy keeps the gavel after this stub. do you? >> i don't. i can tell you what happens, some of those states you are talking about, the traditional states that no publican was ever supposed to win and yet, donald trump won them. what's happening is, many of those democrat members of congress will go home. this may be the only important vote they ever take because what's going to happen is when 2020 rolls around, they are going to find themselves on the losing side. >> were on the street, you are getting out of town. i don't know when but i hear you are getting out of town.
11:10 pm
what you have planned? >> i'm going to continue to fight with this president. i don't care where i am. will continue to fight. we have a job to do and that's to make sure the american people seek this impeachment for what it is and when it continues. as we look at that, i can tell you, we will stay in the fights because the job of actually returning america to its rightful owner, it's not done. we are going to get donald trump reelected. i'm all in for that. >> so no cabinet position? >> nothing planned other than i will help the president and work with him and his team. >> thank you very much. let's bring in press secretary sean spicer. sammy crews and republican fox news contributor.
11:11 pm
what you think about impeachment? what is ago now that nancy is trying to play games with the senate? >> i think it's an omission that donald trump is better than he has ever been. the fact that they had to add in the u.s. mca which is good for the country but could have been done a year ago, is a card pelosi had to play. we can do that, too. >> the duke nothing democrats, that sort of hurt them. >> they are trying to figure out. they realized they convinced them it's not a static position. the numbers have compound for them. they've gone up for trump. they are perplexed about why americans are responding the way they are. it's because they refused to engage with the american people on what's change. this is exactly like the kavanaugh situation. trying to destroy a man in public with a suitable trial and dropping him out into the public with no real way to get that reputation.
11:12 pm
>> you keep adding other allegations that are even less likely. >> this is the nature of this group of people. of course it would be different. >> pelosi basically made 31 of the democrats and top district six walk the order. part of the reason she put u.s. mca up right away, now i'm giving you the talking point that you did something. she was caught in the hallway by reporter say i will talk about impeachment. the morning after, she said i'm done talking about it. it was like you just did that and now you don't want to even talk about it. the other thing you said what happens next? i think any 3-year-old or 6-year-old watched schoolhouse rocks, they know how this works. you have nancy pelosi saying how important impeachment is, we need to pass everything, everything is at stake.
11:13 pm

11:14 pm
nervous? >> they should be. this is an admission i think in a hint from the attorney general but this goes far beyond just the fbi. the ig report starts with a friendly foreign government. why? why was a from the government meeting for the kids in his 20s with no background? the predicate is what they are looking at and most important me i think what they can do is issue subpoenas and look at the flow of money. you want to see the democrats they spent millions of dollars? who cost us millions of dollars? all of the money and i think that's where it's at. the investigation report was limited in the scope of where it could book, he had to stay within the department of justice. it was across everything. if a started summer but ended
11:15 pm
over here, he had to keep his investigation very focused and linear. the ability to look across these agencies and see where it started, where 20, two who touched it, i think it will be mind blowing. >> you're looking at an individual so we have to make sure there isn't just one sacrificial lamb. he's not going to take the brunt of all of this. >> not only that, there were text messages that say potus wants to know everything we are doing. go to page 76. will start to read that he admits he did breach the president several times. >> crossfire hurricane and is asked by the president and by rod rosenstein to give defensive rethink something they never did to president trump. there's a lot more to uncover their for the president was

11:23 pm
we are just going to say oh, there goes joe? >> let's focus on the democrats. biden is the not trying to win the general election. his goal in that, he addressed earlier in the debate, the middle class, if you talk about economic numbers, trump cannot be defeated. unemployment record low, latinos, young voters. the numbers are amazing. the stock market is even greater but biden is trying to focus on the ideology of climate change combining that with the economy and the cost of living. when he talked about the middle class, struggling middle class, that resonated with democrat but it will not resonate in that. >> i do find it a little disjointed because he's been in there the last eight years and now he's coming in and saying everyone in the middle class is
11:24 pm
struggling and i need to fix it? i just had eight years and even cnn has a pulse. 76% of americans say the economy is really good right now. see how the democrats can sell this message. >> they certainly can't. they are trying to paint a picture that is not reality. the reality in the poll numbers, under eight years of obama and biden, we have the slowest economic recovery since world war ii. hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs and now you have joe biden doubling down on the policy think yes, i'm prepared to illuminate hundreds of thousands more. the same number trump has re- added. you will hear that again from our campaign, i can assure you of that. >> also, mayor pete took it on the chin a few times.
