tonight. tune in each night at 8:00 eastern >> the show that is the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness, and groupthink. and don't forget to dvr the show as well. good night from all of us heree in new york. you are in for a treat this day, ms. tammy bruce right now. >> tammy: thank you, i appreciate it and thank you everyone welcome to sean hannity's program. this is "hannity," i'm tammy bruce in tonight for sean. house democrats are just becoming a shock in one gigantic lie for weeks, pelosi, shiff, and that alert they told that president trump must be impeached as quickly as possible. they called him an imminent danger to the democratic republic and they forced him to vote in record time. now, speaker pelosi is still stalling. at this hour, she is still refusing to send the articles of impeachment to the senate. president trump is calling her out and today he tweeted "the radical left nothing democrat so
10:01 pm
they wanted to rush everything through to the senate because he is a threat to national security." they are vicious, will say anything. now they don't want to go fast anymore, they want to go very slowly.ey of course, the president is correct. over christmas, president trump had more to say about pelosi's impeachment charade. watch this. >> she hates the republican party. she hates all the people that voted for me. and the republican party. she is desperate -- look, she got thrown out and she lost like 63 seats. 61, 63, tremendous, record-setting number of seats i think it's going to be happening again. she's doing a tremendous disservice to the country and she's not doing a good job and some people think that she does not know what she's doing. a lot of people think that and a lot of people said it. >> tammy: i think nancy pelosi knows exactly what she's doing,
10:02 pm
she clearly wants to prevent the exoneration of d president trum. they have no shame, they do not care about the impact and the senates, now believe president trump will in fact be acquitted on a bipartisan vote. joining us now with more is the author of "witch hunt" fox analyst, along with senior legal advisor to the trump campaign at one of your favorites, jenna ellis. gentlemen, jenna, thank you for being here with us tonight. let me ask you about this. it's fascinating what she's doing and some of the arguments are that there is chaos, i don't think there is, i think in fact it's possible it was a point a lot of long that they knew what they lose a control. they had no intention of caring about the nature of what the constitution required otherwise it wouldn't happen the first place. >> to claim we have to rush through this with almost no evidence and witnesses or anything, because the president
10:03 pm
a risk to national security and a threat to the republicans, now belied by her stopping the process and hanging onto the articles. i think she had a couple things in mind, first of all she wanted the articles before the first of the year to damage the president in election year and i think that backfired. second of all, i think she wants the influence of the senate trial even under article one, section three of the constitution, she has no power of authority whatsoever. she's actually trying to engage in a quid pro quo, and i'll send the articles over to you if i approve of the process that you designed and she's doing exactly what she is falsely accusing the president of in the quid pro quo. >> tammy: obviously, congressman, no shame. i thinkmm what they've underestimated here is the american people's reaction to this. it's a sham, but it's more than a fraud. they are doing things that deliberately damage the republic.
10:04 pm
to say this about the president of the united states when monumental things are happening, around the world, foreign policies affected because of the way that he might be viewed. yet, you're in the position where you need to rush because it affects what you're able to accomplish. >> you have real fact witnesses and i made a request and doug collins said a long list that we talked about about witnesses and we don't have time for that. they're in the majority, they can change the rules, and it allows for a minority witness we did not have them minority witnessed a because time was of the essence. we had to move on and get this to the senate. i don't think she thought this through as t well as some people think. she did not want to get to this point 9 months ago and then she pushed into it. >> tammy: of course, she would have to because it effectively unconstitutional. perhaps, also, they've been
10:05 pm
looking at the focus groups on the polling through this like which were to used to accuse him. perhaps a way to see if any of this is affecting, and the number of people opposing impeachment are going up. >> i think she's hoping that it will affect people even the longer that she holds onto the articles the less likely that it is and will be a bigger boomerang effect. ehe other thing is, frankly, i just think she kind of hopesom that some magical evidence will drop out of the sky. like which is an witch hunt which really don't exist. >> tammy: or in fact, what started this may be another phone call from another anonymous whistle-blower which would require more investigation and it's a waste of money and certainly. the overall dynamic, congressman, is one that tells the people of the country that we've got to congress that is not doing its own job.
10:06 pm
it is trying to still undo, or stop, at a elected president and of course, ironically, because we knew something was wrong with congress and so we were putting there to clean this up and away it's an battle that is occurring because these are correct in 2016. >> it because many of the deep state that we really didn't have identified. they pop their heads up. there we go. in the days we will be able to eliminate those so that president trump will have more cooperation within their own and administration. >> tammy: pelosi, greg, he's arguing that mitch mcconnell made it clear he's not going to be there. they want all those things -- they know, they know they weren't being fair and now they're afraid like most leftists and those who project they were of the same thing that's happening. they want fairness, they want witnesses, they want the same things. thisam is clearly a political action and that's when
10:07 pm
impeachment is. mcconnell has no obligation to evenen look at this sham that's been provided to them. that's one of my concerns, the argument -- i think they're relying on the process that the process would make them seem legitimate, where in fact mcconnell has every right to be serious about how he looks at this.ha for crying out loud, a member of the same party. >> it's ironic if not hypocritical as nancy pelosi to the demand due process of the senates that she approves while she denied due process and fundamental fairness in the house procedure over which she was in charge. >> tammy: forgive me, this is one of the issues with two people on set here, we've got jenna ellis who obviously knows directly what he's been going through. the impact on the president himself in the function of donald trump and try to get theo job done. your sense here now, of what the
10:08 pm
delay means and how it's impacting him and you think it's going to be a larger problem in the long term? >> yeah, you know, the reality is politically that president trump approval ratings in the polling numbers are the highest they've ever been in the republican fund-raising is the highest it's ever been and if you look at the american people who understand it's a sham, he's absolutely right that nancy pelosi is doing a disservice to the country. she's doing a disservice and that means she's not taking seriously her oath of office to protect andea defend the u.s. constitution. this is a sham impeachment, not from a political partisan talking points, certainly, there are those of us who support president trump but we support him because we understand the constitution does not allow the house to impeach for any reason whatsoever.on that's a limited power that's given to congress and they have to abide by only putting forth impeachment when there is
10:09 pm
evidence of a crime that fits acwithin article two, section four. there is no evidence whatsoever that came out in the house and i think that's really important for the american people to understand that but it isn't about partisan politics, to vote in the senate should be 100-0 to acquit president trump because that's what the evidence shows. >> tammy: i would not expect that, we expected to be somewhat bipartisan, but this could be the call where we look at the nature of how partisan it can be and there needs to be some rules applied to stop that to some point. now that we have seen it be applied to, i think we know we've got work to do.t, jenna, congressman, greg, thank you for joining me. let's turn to the developing story out of washington, d.c. causing some anxiety among deep state bureaucrats and for good reason.
