acquitted? congressman james, member of house oversight committee joins me to talk about it, first of all, thank you so much this morning, we appreciate it as always. >> thank you for having me. heather: what are your thoughts on this, lindsey graham saying his goal to have a short a trial as possible, what do you think? >> well, i agree completely, house democrats have had plenty of time to try to demonstrate that donald trump committed an impeachable offense, they failed miserably, the american people have seen that, you could tell by the polling the american people especially the independent voters were not moved by the case that adam schiff and nancy pelosi and her squad tried to say that donald trump committed impeachable offenses an no crime was proven. heather: trial with no witnesses, should there be a trial at all? >> well, the constitution says

that the senate need to do something, we need to wrap it up, the house had plenty of time, they can't fool the average american voter and if there's a quick trial then the winner will be the american taxpayers because when i travel home in kentucky people say how much did that charade cost, how much of my tax dollars were wasted by adam schiff and jerry nadler on trying to catch donald trump committing some type of minor crime and, you know, the people are outraged and they want this to be wrapped up. heather: speaking of outrage in terms of losers and i know that you did briefly mention this, in terms of democrats, how do you think this will impact them moving forward? >> well, i think that it's going to hurt democrats and they will have to answer to the voters this fall on why they spend so much on the majority on trying to catch donald trump, investigation after investigation, every committee

has had investigations even on the education labor committee where i serve, they are constantly parading, oversight committee trying to subpoena cabinet secretaries just for harassment, the way the democrats treat them. the american people want congress to govern, we have a lot of problems in society in congress because of democrats majority has been solely focused on trying to impeach donald trump because they know they can't beat him in november. heather: joe biden walking back some comments. >> would you comply with a subpoena? >> no, i will not yield to what everybody is looking for here. i would obey any subpoena that was sent to me. heather: all right, so back and forth on that, should he comply if he is subpoenaed, should he testify if there are witnesses? >> well, if he's innocent he should want to testify, you know, in the beginning he didn't

want to testify because he was afraid the senate would subpoena him, now i think he realizes the republican senators want to wrap this up and they don't want to have witnesses and come out of the wood work saying i will comply if i'm subpoenaed, he says that because i would say he's fairly confident he will not be subpoenaed. heather: interesting, what about his son, hunter? >> well, hunter is in hiding and he should be because we all know that if there was any crime committed it was probably committed by hunter and then vice president joe biden, identify not heard one person in america step forward and say hunter biden was qualified to sit on that board of the ukrainian energy company, i think we all know he was there because he was then vice president joe biden's son and the question is, did biden commit the quid pro quo to try to get, you know, his son a job because by all accounts he's

now you have the ukraine thing because they couldn't get president trump impeached, has led to huge big charade and the american people are starting to see through it. >> let's talk about that since you brought that up. ag barr saying no obstruction, this was back april 18th. >> the special counsel found no evidence that any american including anyone associated with the trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the russian innovate, the special counsel found no collusion. heather: that was back april 18th, now about 20 enter 2020 and we are still talking about it. >> yeah, and we are going to continue to talk about it and we should continue to talk about it because this was the biggest overreach and overstep and abuse of government power that we have seen in the 21st century, let's be very clear about what happened, democrats have weponized certain agencies of

the federal government against political opponents and we should be exposing this greatly as much as possible. you know, inspector general horowitz and his report said that there were 17 overt errors in the fisa application to start spying process on president trump's campaign and he was asked how that happened, 17 errors happened, he said it was egregious. heather: that was another scandal that we kept hearing about. >> virginia's governor ralph northam and lieutenant governor caught in similar scandal and we had -- i'm sorry, prime minister
