president. did he actually say that, is warren lying? who knows bit it's impossible to know, impossible to prove. as democratics at standard operatingprocedure,. democrats attack each other, appears to be disintegrating and that's a sign that things are falling apart. case in point, freshmen, some in alexandria because of cortez of new york is refusing to pay what can affect our dues to the democratic congressional campaign committee. she's accusing them of being insufficiently woke. she struck out on her own, fund raising for even more left wing candidates. on friday, she blasted her own party. america's left-wing party which is more left-wing than it's ever been, is not left-wing enough for a cause eo- will cause eo >> attacking the progressive wing of the party and attacking progressive candidates are not seen as team players, but those progressive candidates for

those are legitimate criticisms, the matter what side you are on. so how did joe biden respond to this critique of his record? he didn't bother to respond. watch this. >> do you have any questions about bernie sanders' comments on foreign policy? >> you are going to get me on a fight with bernie. >> tucker: yeah, squint, chuckle. dismiss it as immaterial. bernie has got his own problems! joe biden has it exactly backwards. baggage? sanders has the least baggage of any democrat in this race, believe it or not. he is the least beholden to his own party. he's made it clear for years that he wants to overturn the entire american system. now that's appalling, without precedent in my but keep in mind that this is a country where a lot of people are suddenly fed up with the system. because of that, sanders' position gives him power. he's the most credible change candidate in the democrat party and in 2020, they could make him the most formidable challenge.

with iran. such a war would be costly and a tragedy for thousands of americans, but sadly there's another tragedy very much like that ongoing and has been for decades. over the weekend, to american servicemen were killed by a roadside bomb in afghanistan. one leaves behind a wife and four children. the other one was 21 years old, just a toddler when 9/11 happened and american troops went into that country. these are the first deaths these year in afghanistan. sadly, and this is a poignant part, it's not clear what these men died for. possibly the same thing that more than 2300 american troops have died for us since the taliban was toppled in 2001. it hurts to say that but appears to be true. the afghan war papers obtained by "the washington post" last year confirm these suspicions. our leaders have no strategy in afghanistan and our troops, this is their assessment, has been ordered to stay in the country indefinitely until afghanistan

magically turns into belgium and it's not clear that'll ever happen. for more than a decade, america has lost ground that the taliban. according to the pentagon's own estimate, 40% of the money united states spends gets diverted to the taliban or the pockets of corrupt officials. billions of dollars have been blowing on things like flying burger king into the country, with the goal of spending the pentagon's budget allocation so it's not cut the following year. by the metrix metrics bureaucrats use, that success. for soldiers, it means more months spent away from their families in the path of harm in many cases. every year, the money we spend in afghanistan is enough to make every soldier currently deployed there a millionaire. imagine if we sent that money back to the communities the soldiers came from? but we are not doing that. some are coming home in coffins. two more, as we say. it's obvious what's going on, don't need somebody in washington to recognize the tragedy that's unfolding.

anybody who pays any attention at all knows it's a tragedy. we need someone brave enough to stop what's happening there for the sake of this country. doug mcgregor is a retired u.s. army colonel author of the book "margin of victory." such a depressing topic, two more soldiers killed in afghanistan. what is the pentagon's explanation for why this is continuing? >> i think they go back to the boilerplate reasons being used in the paths to justify it. we cannot leave until there is some position in this government which we hope to set up which you point out is hopelessly corrupt. it's very likely to fold almost instantly once we leave. we've got to continue to back the police and the military there, which is equally disappointing. these are the reasons that are given, but the truth is it doesn't make any difference when we leave. it's all going to fall apart. but the good news is that once we are out, at least we will no

longer be subsidizing the corruption and we will no longer subsidize afghanistan as the global engine of heroin production, which it has begun under our watch. >> tucker: it's such a distressing series of facts coming out of afghanistan. it's an insult of the thousands of americans who died they are that you've got to wonder why it's being ignored. i can't remember the last time i saw a newscast or news program leading with what we are doing that and why would she remain fit why is the country's news media ignoring us? >> for a couple of reasons. one, accountability is a dirty word. the press never uses it. i'm sure the general officers are identified in the afghan papers who routinely lied about what was or was not not happening in afghanistan. very interested in avoiding any accountability. the policymakers, politicians like joe biden and others that you have mentioned just recently all wants to avoid any discussion that would implicate them as coconspirators in all of
