articles of impeachment, sending them over to the senate. she selected seven managers. and those are the pens that everyone is talking about. steve: with her name on them. ainsley: souvenir pens with her name on them handed them out to the people behind her. i'm sure they are going to frame them. put them in their office and talk to democratic office these are the pens that impeached president trump. steve: aside from the pens with her name on them, keep in mind, what was it, when in december, when they voted on the articles of impeachment, and she was talking how prayerful it was and how somber it was,. ainsley: she is like do not smile. people, do not smile. steve: and when people started to cheer sh shushed them. she was wearing pink. smiling. remember, it's a tv show as that woman right there. she poses with a pen. nonetheless, they tried their best to make it seem like this is a very somber

major accomplishment and keep in mind, in washington, give away a pen after you sign a major piece of legislation, which is an accomplishment. their biggest accomplishment is impeachment. ainsley: i know. so what happens today in the seven house managers return to the senate at noon. they will presents the articles that will be read on the senate floor. then the chief justice, this is said in the constitution requires this, the chief justice john roberts has to be there he will arrive at 2:00 p.m. and be sworn in to preside over the trial. and then he will swear in all 100 senators. he will preside over this entire trial. steve: all right. meanwhile, cnn presided over the seventh debate in seven months a couple nights ago. you saw it. the build up was all about the news was leaked that apparently in 2018 in a private meeting elizabeth warren's apartment, bernie sanders said a woman cannot win. and then they were expected to be asked about that. he said during the debate i never said that she said she disagreed with him. okay. so there is some of the

analysis right there with an der soon cooper. people are saying hey, look, he stuck his hand out, bernie sanders did, at the conclusion. she would not shake his hand. bernie sanders was asked about well, what were you guys talking about? he said the weather. you know what? that was a -- well, that was a lie. and i mentioned the word lie because lie comes up in this sound bite. cnn just released the audio. >> i think you called me a liar on national tv? >> what? >> i think you called me a liar on national tv? >> let's not do it right now. you want to have that discussion, we will have is that discussion. >> any time. >> you called me a liar. >> i don't want to get in the middle i just want to say hi, bernie. >> good. go tom steyer and take your billion dollars with you and your high place now in the first three. ainsley: do you think he actually did tell her that based on her pulling the hands away. brian: that's what she thinks think. everybody know as woman can be president.

where do you get that archaic thought that a woman can't be president? it's not even an interesting issue. everybody knows a woman can be president. hillary clinton got 3 million votes more than president trump. she didn't get them in the right places. that shows america is ready to elect a woman president. it's just got to be the right woman. why elizabeth warren whose poll numbers are falling feels as though she has to air a private conversation to get traction is unbelievable shows how desperate that is. ainsley: she knows that message will be popular with the women. feels he actually told her that spread that message she will get the woman vote and women on her side. i will say as a woman she did a great job in this debate when she stalked about all the women up here have won every election the men have not. i liked that and how strong she was with him. i'm not going to be fake. i'm not going to shake your hand because you called me a liar on national tv. she called him out when she thought her mic was turned off. she thought she was doing the right thing by confronting him again. steve: ultimately what we

heard them say they didn't think it was going to be televised but cnn chose to release that audio. she said you called me a liar. and he says you called me a liar. it's one of those he said, she said. ainsley: if he did say it to her, maybe he was saying do you think a woman could win? we have never had a woman president. and maybe she said of course a woman can win. hillary beat you. i don't know how the conversation went. brian: by the way footage all saw it 20 years ago a woman could be president. dark glass and more hair but still not comb you had. just a quick thing on the issue when she came out all the women here have won elections. she wanted kennedy's seat against scott brown and she barely beat him and then she won re-election. ainsley: a win is a win. brian: what did she get to get there 1-0 undefeated. ainsley: you are saying she won an easy election. >> ted kennedy in massachusetts. ainsley: people know that it was just a good soundbite. steve: it was a great soundbite.

regulations. and what this agreement does is it really for the first time gives us a fairness issue that we can take to the bank. so our farmers and ranchers in south dakota are thrilled that this is through phase one that they now have the ability to do what they do best, and that's feed the world. ainsley: s when the tariffs were implemented two and a half years ago i know the your area called producers gave them subsidies. how did that help them? were they doing okay? enough money to pay the bills? >> for four or five years we had low commodity prices last year in south dakota we had the largest natural disaster in our state's history. pretty much statewide. we have come through difficult times. these trade agreements getting across the finish line are coming right in the nick of time. because we have usmca getting finalized. now with phase one of the u.s. china agreement. moving forward we are going to be able to make sure that we are marketing our goods into areas where we haven't had the ability to.

the president recognized that farmers were struggling and that we have the safest and most reliable food supply in the world. and that needs to be a priority with us. so we appreciate the administration working with us and continuing to fight for fairness. ainsley: stephanie grisham the white house spokesperson said he was working for the american people. dems continue working against the president. stark contrast when you see nancy pelosi signing the impeachment articles and sending them to the senate and see our president signing this that helps our farmers. what were your thoughts? >> i just loved the complete example of what these parties are about. the democrats are playing games. they are taking unprecedented action to destroy really our democracy in a way that hasn't been done before. and at the exact same time the president never left his foot off the gas in fighting for every day families. we have got people every single day in this country doing the work that it takes to make sure that their families are taken care of, they are paying their bills,

and they are helping this country be successful, creating jobs, and the president just never stops. so no matter what the distractions are. he keeps working and follows through on his word. he said two years ago that he would renegotiate this trade agreement. and tomorrow he fulfilled that promise. and to the farmers i brought. i brought a soy bean producer and a pork producer. for them, you know, this is real life stuff that the president is doing for them and for their families that they are going to take back and use to continue keeping their family farms together, growing our food here in this country. and then marketing and having influence in other countries where we just didn't have it before. ainsley: yeah. we need to pray to god that they see a benefit that can help their families. i hope that -- i hope this is really beneficial for them. god bless them all. thank you so much for being with us. >> thank you, ainsley, have a great day. ainsley: you are welcome. thank you. calling out the i-phone.

and are ongoing. something that, benjamin, you and sheely both want to talk about is how there in pensacola, the -- our service members for the most part are not allowed to protect themselves. they are not allowed to carry arms. they were effectively -- your son and the others, sheila, were effectively sitting ducks. you want that to change, right? you want there to be a right to carry for service members on military installations? >> yes. mostly -- we're not advocating that everyone on that base be armed. that these young men and women that are standing watch need to be armed. i don't understand how being -- if you cannot defend yourself and defend the people that are there.

my son died trying to get out of that building to get help to save those people. because he knew he could not defend himself against a man with a gun. >> i'm really for, too i'm beginning to hear you a little bit now, too. i'm for two things. i'm for these young men and women all over that are standing watch. yes, they be armed and i'm also for concealed carry that our young men and women -- it will be such a deterrence to anybody that would harm us knowing that anyone who is walking that base in uniform they could be armed. they could return fire. they could defend themselves and others. and we don't have that right now. and so i would like to see a change from that as soon as possible. and i'm hoping that that can come for our young men and

women who are defenseless. steve: benjamin, you have been saying that for a number of weeks now. you were on our program a while back and said that have you heard from anybody in the administration or the department of defense, yeah, you are right, they ought to be able to protect themselves and this is what we are going to do? have you heard from anybody? >> no, sir. we have not heard from anyone. and, you know, this problem goes all the way back to, you know, george herbert walwalker bush and implemented by president clinton. obama came in with some more instructions in 2016 and we need clear instructions from our nation's leaders, president trump and secretary of defense to give clear instructions of you who these young men and

incrusted commemorative pens that nancy pelosi had specially made. we thought that she may have some grand strategy for delaying the impeachment trial for 28 days. maybe she was just waiting for her special order pens to come in. [laughter] we can laugh at that but i think it speaks to the bigger point about just how partisan the house has acted over the last four months in pursuing the president for at least the third, maybe the fourth time depending on how you define it to impeach him, which started on the very first day he is sworn into office. and ultimately, no matter what the allegations are, they are impeaching the president for the same unforgivable sin, beating hillary clinton in 2016. brian: by the way it is historic already. totally partisan. not one republican went for this unlike nixon, unlike clinton. and i believe the andrew johnson, which i no footage available right now. trying to look for it. but, senator, in the big picture, they say we are waiting and there is a "the washington post" story that talks about additional

information. and we are waiting because lev parnas speaking about how he was in the middle of all of this wrangling from what have you read. paperwork released over the weekend change anything? >> lev parnas under indictment. business called fraud inc. he goes from being the president's greatest champion to being on rachel maddow's show. we shouldn't be surprised that the democrats in the house are pulling this kind of stunt. in fact, i would predict that nancy pelosi and adam schiff throughout the senate trial will continue oftentimes fabricated information, which i believe is what some of lev parnas put out over the weekend all in an effort to clean up the shoddy work they did in the house the rush hatchet job of impeachment to try to dictate procedures to the senate. that's not going to happen.

ainsley: senator, the president signed that deal with china and the dow reaches record levels. what a stark contrast to what the democrats are doing. i know you are from arkansas. how does this affect you, your constituents and the rest of our country? >> well, the president's signing ceremony of the phase one trade deal with china is a lot more important and memorable than nancy pelosi' fake signing ceremony of those impeachment articles because this is good news for our farmers and our manufacturers. but it also doesn't take the pressure off china. we are going to continue to hold china's feet to the fire there are still tariffs on hundreds of billions of chinese products to assure they uphold the commitments they made yesterday and continue to press them on other fronts such as forced technology transfer or using huawei to try to insinuate themselves into western telecom networks and aggression towards neighbors in the region. steve: while it's only phase one, nonetheless, it's a win for the president. i mean, senator, he ran on trying to fix the trade deals and this certainly does help with the injection of $200 billion worth of

chinese money coming into our country buying our stuff. but, at the same time, your colleagues from across the aisle chuck schumer says while he would like to see new trade deals he goes oh, this is just not a good piece of -- this is not a good idea. i'm very disappointed. i can't believe he dropped the ball. really? >> yeah. i can't believe that chuck schumer found fault with the president's policies. look, the president gave up very little. mostly just some promised future tariffs in return for significant concessions from the chinese. we still have tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars of chinese goods that are a way to keep them honest finally to uphold their commitments to a deal. if they don't uphold their commitments to the deal then we will just impose new air force on the remaining products the president had promised. this is a win for the president but really it was a win for america's workers and america's manufacturers and america's farmers. and today we are going to give another big win to them on another promise that the

president made ratifying in the senate the mexico-canada trade agreement. these are issues on which the president campaigned on which his majority coalition was built in the electoral college to fix the trade deals that hadn't been working for americans. we are focused on those kind of accomplishments while the house is running around giving out commemorative pens to all of their rich donors and fanatical left wing representatives. brian: one way or another americans will have a chance on what they like better in a few months because the senate went on the record and you guys have been on the record. and we will see what happens in your chamber starting next tuesday. senator tom cotton, thanks so much. >> thanks, guys. ainsley: thank you. brian: meanwhile, jillian you have the rest of the breaking news. jillian: following this story a massive chemical explosion kills a man that was two miles away. the blast sent a metal plate flying into an apartment building where the man died. two other people were killed in the blast at a chemical plant in spain. this surveillance video shows the moment the factory
