rob: donald trump's travel ban headed back to court three years after it was first imposed, federal appeals court in virginia making arguments in 3 cases challenging this controversial rule even though the supreme court over held the legality of the band, house democrats are expected to vote on repealing the travel man in the coming weeks. they suspend immigration to the united states from several muslim majority countries along with north korea and venezuela. jillian: the supreme court allows the trump administration to enforce new rules that would deny green cards are illegal immigrants. immigrants applying for permanent residency must show they won't be a burden on taxpayers raising public benefits like food stamps and medicaid. democratic rival michael bloomberg tweeting, quote, how far we have followed from give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free.

coronavirus outbreak about what needs to be done at home. >> doctor amy phillips with the office of regional medical system means she oversees washington state hospital with the first us patient being treated. she joins us to explain how urgent the situation is. how concerned are you at this point? >> i'm less concerned then perhaps some mostly because here in the us we put in a lot of fantastic safeguards and screenings to identify and isolate and treat people who have been exposed to the virus in wuhan. jillian: how do we prevent this from becoming a full-blown epidemic. you have another case being investigated at our charter school in philadelphia, they take exchange students, students to travel overseas and symptoms

don't always start right away. that is the scary part for a lot of people at home. >> you are 100% right. we are learning more about this virus every day. it could be 14 days between the time somebody is exposed and all the cases that are present in the us were exposed abroad. we have not yet had, knock on wood we will not have based on infection prevention happening around the country cases where there is person-to-person transmission here within the us. our ability to screen and identify anybody with symptoms, with exposure in china is the way we are doing contact isolation so we identify people at risk and make sure their germs are contained and can't spread to the community. rob: we see a video of them taking temperatures looking for symptoms but the question is if you have a disease people can spread when they feel perfectly

fine long before they get the fever how do you contain it? how do you stop it spreading like wildfire like it appears it has in china? >> perfect question because it is what we talk about during flu season that influenza kills 21-60,000 people, 36,000 people last season coming in the us each year and the way we talk about containing influenza is cover the cost, wash your hands, touch your face, make sure you use hand sanitizer afterwards, things that would prevent the spread of infection prevent the spread of infection with the coronavirus so that is what we encourage everybody to do, not only people who travel but everybody. if you are sick, stay home. make sure you contain the germs.

jillian: you are overseeing one of these hospitals dealing with patients, the first patient in the us. what is it like in the hospital? is the day today now that you have a patient there? >> the day today in the hospital is pretty much normal although in hospitals we have patients do need to be isolated. what is different about this one, we are using a next or a layer of isolation where we are ensuring the patient himself and also the healthcare workers minimize risk of exposure so we can't contain the insurance so they get beyond where we want them to spread. rob: we have been through a lot, we have seen sars and ebola and bird flu, how do you get people to take these warnings seriously. >> every time there is a novel

good morning, let's look at two quick polls, iowa and new hampshire, bernie sanders in iowa, 30% over joe biden, in new hampshire by 7 points. what is your party going to do about bernie sanders? >> the sanders has to be happy with these polls, the question of when you surge, when you had the momentum, less then a week from iowa voters going to the polls next monday the sanders team has to be feeling good about where he stands. if he can maintain that along with other senators, not on the ground campaigning, we will see if that has an effect. rob: all the energy is with candidates like bernie sanders but people like former president obama, hillary clinton beating up on him. a lot of people going after bernie sanders, people think he was slighted of the nomination

in 2016. it seems the democratic establishment is trying to do that again this time. >> a lot of raw feelings, senator sanders has this burn the house down mentality. one of the things coming up 2016 is nearly 14% of the voters who supported senator sanders in the primary switched over and voted for donald trump in the general election so there is a lot of hard feelings among his supporters, despite the fact that hillary clinton won more vote in the primary. rob: if bernie is slated, if the dnc figures out way to push them out of the way, how do you bring that coalition together to vote in 2020? if you burn the far left flank a second time how do you get them to vote for your moderate candidate? >> we can't afford to do that. fundamentally joe biden and bernie sanders have been friends

they don't get a day off for that holiday. jillian: what do you think? >> it would be beneficial to fans but the reality is the nfl, it is all about making money. this is a revenue play. having the super bowl on sunday, the most-watched day of television, over 100 million people watch the super bowl, more would watch it on sundays and saturday but the other thing is the south florida economy will benefit mostly from the super bowl, they invest $20 million in infrastructure to support the game, it will return $500 million to the economy in south florida, restaurants and hotels in bennis's benefit and having that full weekend gives them the full benefit. jillian: people who don't live in south florida are saying i don't care what is going on in south florida. >> demand more revenue from their ad spots. jillian: that theme of revenue let's talk about some numbers
