nonetheless he needs to put pressure on the people who have not taken a side yet. cory gardner spoke and he is one of the guys who he is a republican from colorado. ainsley: he might break off. steve: he is in a tough competitive race out there. he spoke yesterday along with martha mcsally and thom tillis. cory gardner said the longer the trial goes on the more democratic attack also happen. sounds luke he wants to get it over with. apparently what mitch is planning, he has a plan b. part of it is to amend any resolution on witnesses to include john bolton and hunter biden and the whistleblower and then what they would do is write another part to the resolution where if any key witness like hunter biden or the whistleblower defies the subpoena it's over. ainsley: so they are expecting -- they are trying to making a plan because this whole thing could be over at the end ever the week if they don't have additional witnesses. but there are these four

republicans that are in these tough areas and think are trying to make a decision. if they decide to break away from the republican party and many think that they will, then mitch mcconnell has these different plans. one would be the package deal where if you ask john bolton to come, then we are asking hunter biden and maybe adam schiff. the other plan would be we could assert executive privilege. the president, the administration could go to court and ask for an emergency injunction against like a john bolton who used to work for him so he can't talk. steve: on national security grounds. brian: meanwhile joe manchin, kyrsten sinema and doug jones also democrats who are undecided that could change things. jim jordan knows this case as well as anyone weighed in on where we are at. >> it will never be enough for the democrats. they are always going to want something more. understand where we are at right now, sean, the witness count right now is 17 to 0. adam schiff subpoenaed all 17 witnesses. we didn't get to call any of them. it's 17-0. what do the democrats want? they want it to be 18-0. pretty soon 19-0.

rob, how are they going to make sure those folks on the planes don't infect feel in the u.s. rob: get to that partial quarantine. china reporting no more than 6,000 coronavirus cases, guys and 132 deaths. right now the state department flying, as you just saw, more than 200 americans from the center of the outbreak, from the epicenter, really. a fly from wuhan, china will soon land at the march reserve air base in southern california. you see right here. it stopped over in anchorage, alaska, to refuel. passengers will then be quarantined in southern california for at least three days. hopefully make sure they don't infect anybody else. that flight was originally supposed to land at ontario airport east of los angeles. they changed it. personal doug perez who is living in wuhan, the epicenter of all of, this joined "fox & friends first" earlier. talked to jillian. he turned down the rescue flight to the united states. turned down that flighted in order to stay with his chinese girlfriend.

out here. i think obviously bolton threw a bombshell into this thing right in the middle. but at the end of the day, all he has is some discussions about would have and could have the aid wasn't in fact held up past the deadline. it didn't happen. therefore this thing doesn't really rise. and asking for an investigation on someone is not the same thing as asking fake information in a campaign. there is a huge difference. there is a real, you know, the president obviously really believed he thought there should be one. this may be something for a report. it may be something for voters to take into account in the election. but we should not have right now our entire government frozen for weeks and months. steve: that's right. if there are, they are going to call in witnesses, who knows when that mess would be done. i wanted to pick your brain about what's going on right now in the dnc. apparently tom perez has named former representative frank who was a surrogate for hillary clinton's 2016

presidential campaign as a co-chair of the convention's rules committee and there are a number of bernie sanders supporters who don't like that because he got frozen out by the super delegates and everything else last time around. it's like 20162.0. >> well, as you recall, debbie wasserman schultz resigned on the eve of the convention because it came out that she had been biased against sanders and for hillary last time. so, obviously, sanders supporters would be ultra sensitive to this. look, if sanders is clearly the pawn nominee. it won't mattered. if it's going to be a brokered convention, people are going to fight about the rules and everything else and then it will. steve: it could be a brokered convention because if you look at it right now, if bernie sanders wins iowa and then new hampshire and then joe biden picks up south carolina, first of all a month is a long time for him to have been a loser in those two states, then they

they don't want to give the president a win or they felt that impeachment was more important to talk about than middle east peace? >> well, you know, i'm not in their heads and i don't want to, you know, i don't want to make those decisions for them and speculate as to what their intentions are, but, if you look at it in the context of you who they have covered previous presidential plans and not only that as a reporter on the ground i have been in fodder and gaza and west bank and many times actually and even small incremental changes in proposals to peace plans and diplomatic efforts were extensively covered at that time. i reported on those things. so, for me, in my experience, that is a departure from what i have known before. brian: all right. so let's take a look at the plan. i mean, look, it is huge, it is comprehensive. it has massive investment in the region. some things stand out there. is going to be a palestinian state if they can hit

certain goals over the next four years. $50 billion of investment into the palestinian state, including high speed rail. they have a contiguous and linkage unlike the past set-up. here's the problem. mahmoud abbas is in charge of the west bank area. gaza is controlled by hamas. they don't speak with one voice. and we will not speak to hamas and we say hamas has got to relinquish control. is there pressure that could come from the arab world on the palestinians to get them at least to the table? >> well, that's the part of the deal that is going to be very interesting to see whether that emerges or not, right? i mean, it doesn't make sense to think that a trump administration or any administration would go into this without talking to the israel and middle eastern partners and neighbors. and there are many. it's an open secret that many arab governments work behind the scenes very closely with israel. and with the u.s.

that stands in contrast to many of their public statements. but, certainly the trump administration has made no, you know, no attempt to hide its with saudi arabia and the gulf arab allies. those are definitely factors to consider. i will say that one of the things i heard very early on during the of this administration was this idea of really investing heavily in the palestinians. and that was seen as a persuasive factor at the time with other middle eastern governments. so this is really the first time that that has been a major tenet of the proposal. this still favors israel heavily. brian: it does. >> the trump administration moved the capital to jerusalem straight off the bat. so, they are not exactly seen as a neutral partner in this but perhaps that's more of an honest stance. the u.s. was never really regarded by the palestinians ohio spoke to as a neutral partner anyway. brian: get in and start negotiating. steve: ultimately with the 50 billion-dollar u.s.

individuals say the state is not going to put me away for six months or 60 years. i'm going to be in charge of what my own fate. ainsley: how often does this happen? because he was supposed to be in court for a bail hearing. he didn't show up. so cops went to his house for a well check to make sure he was okay. that's how they found him in the garage in his car. >> he was probably most likely very aware of the fact that the bail hearing was going to reassess some of his property and the value of the property and that may have been enough for him to say i'm doing this on my own -- i'm doing this on my own time, in my own way. again, that could have been part of it. ainsley: because he didn't show up for the bail hearing, when he gets out of the hospital, which he is in critical condition, actually. if he gets out of the hospital, then what happens? does he go to jail because he didn't show up? >> that depends on the hearing when they decide whether or not he has the assets to really support being out on bail.
