is an update. the u.s. declaring the deadly coronavirus a public health emergency as the nation's seventh case is confirmed in california. there are nearly 12,000 cases of the virus worldwide, that number up by nearly 2,000 since yesterday. 259 people have died. the u.s. quarantining anyone who enters the u.s. from the chinese province where the outbreak started. it comes as 195 americans are quarantined on a military base for two weeks after being evacuated from china. several u.s. airlines have now canceled flights to china. >> the los angeles lakers paying an emotional tribute to kobe bryant in the first game since his death. the team draped his jersey over every seat inside the staples center before playing an inspiring video voiced by kobe himself. >> those times you get up early and you work hard, those times you stay up late and work hard, those times when you don't feel like working, you don't want to

>> preparations are underway for super bowl liv on fox, of course, one thing you will not see in tomorrow's big game, drones in the sky. the fbi says they've intercepted dozens near the city and despite super bowl liv being already declared a no drone zone. what does it take to make sure they stay on the ground? how about responsibility? well, if you don't have that, we're going to discuss it with the former white box defensive strategic advisor and drone expert. how do we handle this here in miami. >> the faa isn'ts messing around. they want to make sure no drones

are flying. they set up a temporary flight restriction that spans 34 miles in radius around the stadium and it makes it where no drones are allowed to fly. people have been violating that. the fbi arrested somebody two days ago. he faces up to a year in prison. we're in miami. it's a major hub for drones flying. any given weekend, you'll see hundreds of drones up and down the beach. when you add a major event, you're talking about a situation where there's potential for an you attack or some sort of incident that could disrupt the game. >> what are you holding? >> the fbi has set up this task force like they did last year in atlanta to go after and proactively target drone owners that are vie rat violating this. they use special detection devices that give them the capability to detect and jam drones. this is the scorpion 2, made by white fox defense.

>> yes, i know. she's in south carolina. i just got in a few hours ago. it was fun. there's my mom. she had a stroke two years ago. that's my dad and brother henry mcmaster and his wife stopped by. they presented her with a resolution from the south carolina assembly. they wrote a resolution in honor of my mom. then the photographer, he shot that picture of my dad's 70th birthday and he presented my mom with it for her 70th birthday. hayden was there l. hayden's with my family this weekend. it was really special. my mom's an amazing person. her bridge club, bible study, all of he her friends in greenville, spartanburg, myrtle beach, everyone came because they know her story and wanted to give her a hug. she's been through a lot. she's having hip replacement surgery on thursday. she's a fighter, i'm telling you

upstairs. steve: used to live in our house for tax purposes but now he pretty much lives in des moines. however, in washington, d.c., in the well of the senate yesterday, a gigantic victory for the president. a gigantic loss for the democrats. the white house voted -- rather the senators voted 51 to 49 with mitt romney and susan collins siding with the democrats not to call witnesses. and john roberts, the chief justice of the united states, he had the official game call. here's the chief justice. or not. anyway. what he said was are there any senators in the chambers wishing to change his or her vote rather the yeas are 49 the nays are 51. the motion is not agreed. to say that was the soundbite we tried to play. ainsley: look at that. right there on the screen. the democrats wanted more witnesses. the republicans did not.

51 of them did not. so now they will take a vote on wednesday. here we go. >> change his or her vote? if not the yeas are 49 and the nays are 51. the motion is not agreed to. steve: he is repeating me. ainsley: on wednesday they will vote whether or not to acquit the president. pete: big news is here it's almost over, america. they held that vote. steve: you really think that? pete: i don't. unofficially. this chapter is almost over. where the book ends no one knows because they will continue. but, what mitch mcconnell did in orchestrating and keeping the caucus together was historic and very important. this could have dragged on for book weeks and months. held rank. got to wait until wednesday. we know democrats and friends in the media the same thing, they are going to. steve: there will be another bombshell. pete: to push out what they call a bombshell to convince more soft senators.

when you watch lisa murkowski and watch others to vote with republicans to block it. it's a big win. and mitch mcconnell played it right in saying hey, we are going to hear everybody out. we will vote on witnesses after we listen to everybody. democrats are going to make it sound like it was unfair. i don't think that's going to register with the average voter. >> brian: lisa murkowski, lamar alexander collins and romney are the ones everyone is looking at. collins and romney voted for witnesses. would have been one where we could have rooted the deep x that came out of the house. i think we got to the point where you just realized that it would never be sufficient to reach the demand of those seeking the demands they you wanted. we started with a flaw you had product. i'm at the point where i'm frustrated and disappointed. angry at all sides. because, they were supposed to get a finished case and debate it. and they didn't get a finished case. they they were told to expand it. as much as mitch mcconnell deserves credit.

the democrats? ultimately and mitch mcconnell, you are absolutely right, brian, was a brilliant tactician on this. he even called the president and said okay, we have wrapped up the vote on witnesses last night he called them. he said would it be okay if we moved the vote until wednesday to give the senators the weekend off because they are exhausted. the president said okay. so he signed off on it. pete: some of them are going to iowa now to campaign. if you watch those democrat senators we played earlier in the show walk off the senate floor, they look defeated. steve: they were defeated. ainsley: they were prayerful. pete: went and held a prayer meeting if it's in keeping what they have been saying. the president, he knows who won. so, of course, he took to twitter. steve: what? he has twitter? pete: he does. he has 60 million or so followers. no matter what you give to the democrats, in the end they will never be satisfied. in the house, they gave us nothing. brian: big news happened earlier when another excerpt from john bolton's book not

it's great to be here. brian: look at the top five growth texas followed by north carolina, south carolina and washington. you know, we have always known florida had this climate and these opportunities. why now? >> well, first and foremost when you are led by america's most popular governor, ron desantis, who is laying. steve: you are lieutenant governor. tough say that. >> it's true. we laid a bold vision for our state and what we are seeing unemployment at record lows. our private sector job growth is outpacing the nation. we are the number one university system in the country. we tackling leading on environment, teacher pay and things that are really important. when you see high tax, high spend states, people are flocking to florida. ainsley: i know you grew up here in miami and you love this state. tell us a little bit more about you and how you got into politics. i'm proud of you, especially as a woman. >> thank you. it really was a fluke. i had no intention of running for office. let alone serving as lieutenant governor. one thing led to the next. i studied political science,

international relations. worked in the legislature. spent some time serving in the legislature and then ron desantis gave me a call and i decided to join him on the ticket. steve: one of the things that makes your job promoting tourism and promoting commerce and to get people to move here we're reminded by this graphic. florida, absolutely zero dollars across the board when it comes to state taxes. you don't pay state tax here. how do you make that up money? if you are not taking in the cash from state tax income. how do you make that up? >> well, florida, as you can see here miami in particular, it's a huge draw. tourism is an important. we had record numbers of visitors over 107 million people come to florida everywhere from key west to the emerald coast so much of a draw. steve: tourists are paying? >> partly. good fiscal conservative policies that has really made sure that we are tackling issues but also being responsible and

and leg wrapping the arm. ainsley: if you are a parent and your child plays five or six sports. when do you have to decide which sport they are going to play. >> i always told my children this and athletes. i had many athletes that were football and basketball and came to college and did both. pursue both of them as long as you can. but eventually you are going to reach a point and say i could be better in this sport than that. then devote your entire attention. do not make that decision when you are in the 8th, 9th, 10th grade. i had a young man good at football and baseball chose to play football. tie end played football and baseball decided to go baseball. pursue. keep all avenues open as long as. ainsley: let it happen naturally. brian: coach, a lot of people think this game can be won or lost in preparation this week. the mind set going these teams are so close. the mindset on super bowl saturday to get ready for sunday as a coach sometimes these games could be won and lost in the last 24 hours.

how do you get your team's head on straight. >> say to the football team hey, men, i coach at kansas city. i called the 49ers and said i want to play you today at 8:00 in the evening. and they said no, we can't play until 6:00. i wanted to play them earlier. there is no way in the world we can play until'6":00. if you get tight and hold your fist like this for two hours you won't be able to pick up a glass of water. most important thing is to stay loose, stay relaxed and be ready to explode at 6:00. not before hand. steve: you know, one of the great things super bowl is happening, you know, impeachment is wrapping up. america needs a break. and this is -- you know, it's a good distraction from what's going on in washington. >> it really is football is a microcosm of life. one thing about football everybody second guess the coach. you should have throwed the ball, you should have ran the ball. steve: that's how you feel because you are a coach. >> everybody is a coach. everybody can get on the game. everybody pulls for it. but the super bowl is
