of this new law they can't utilize this anymore. was this the right move? was it necessary? >> absolutely the right move and i salute the acting secretary for doing this. i watched a clip, governor cuomo said this is a political move. this governor has lost his mind. if anyone is making a political statement it is him. he created a lot to give illegal aliens drivers licenses. he needs to understand the drivers license doesn't give someone permission to drive. it is identification used to open big account, cash checks and joined the traveler protection program. he should have checked with dhs before he made this change in law on the effects of it. todd: we are going to play it again, governor cuomo. >> this is unbounded arrogance, disrespect of the rule of law,

hyperpolitical government and this is another form of extortion. todd: cuomo says you say this is a matter of public safety. why? >> the traveler program, piece of that to qualify, you can't have criminal convictions, you can't have dui convictions are aggravated driving convictions which are misdemeanors or penalties. that information is in the dmv database. if you say we are not going to give immigration authorities access to the database, cdp is an immigration agency. they were in this program. how can a vet somebody if the information is hidden from them? and this isn't just about immigration enforcement. ice arrest us citizens all-time for narcotics trafficking can. everybody enforcement agency can picture that person, we are not

going to pitch what this person looks like. this is an officer safety issue. if donald trump makes a political statement, you don't have access to the database which the federal government owns. why did the president do that? he actually cares about safety and security of law-enforcement officers. jillian: the programs impacted by this. do you think we will see this happening in other places? >> i hope so. what governor cuomo did, leading by example, he can't pick and choose what laws he thinks he should respect. that is not his decision. there are laws on the books. one of the things the legislators said, makes it easier for people to get to work. they are not supposed to work in the united states. it is illegal for them to work in the united states. it is illegal for an employer - governor cuomo is spitting in the face of federal law and calling this administration and, he has lost his mind.
